Sanz Shop & Nursery

We moved to Cloverdale a little over a year ago, and this summer we did a lot of work to our back yard. In shopping for plants we decide to try and shop local. We were shocked and appalled by the conditions at Sanz. Plants were dying they lay outside stacked upon each other drying out. we wanted some Dragons blood for ground cover. We found some thrown in a pile with other plants all stacked upon each other as if they were to be thrown out. After about half an hour no one had come out to help us. So, we went inside. Place seem deserted. We looked around and it looked like no one had been there for some time! There were major cobwebs covering items for sale. Place looked neglected. Gave us the creeps. Place looked like a «Front» for something else! Finally we found a youth sitting at the register reading a book. We asked him about the Dragons Blood outside, and he just shook his head. Said he did not know any prices and could not sell me anything. He said, «owner was away». We asked when he would be back? He shrugged his shoulder and said, «Maybe tomorrow»? WOW! Why even open for business if that is the kind of service you offer? And the place was a scary deserted looking place. We will NEVER step foot in that creepy place again! So much for trying to help «The Locals»!

We had Sanz Shop & Nursery redo our front yard (gone with lawn, in with trees, plants, hardscape, and bark). What a terrific job they did! The concrete landings and steps were everything we wanted. Very hard working crew; professional work; extremely knowledgeable owner and superintendent;good design, quality plants and trees; and competitive pricing. We would most definitely use Sanz Shop and Nursery again for our back yard.
