I purchased an item that was Christmas clearance. It was battery operated and you were only able to get to the batteries by using a screw driver to take plate off. The item was a story book that recorded your voice, and to activate you had to take this plate off. When we took the plate off the batteries were corroded. I purchased new batteries, which did not work. I then took it back to Anne’s and was told that they would not replace the item, or refund. They had more stock on the shelf. I understand a policy regarding Christmas merchandise, but unless they are going to take the back off and check the item this does not seem fair. The supervisor was not willing to discuss this matter other than to reinforce «policy». I will call this week when the manager is in and hopefully this will be resolved. We have been going to this store for many years, but will not return if this is their business practices. I will update my review accordingly.

It is so rare to find a stand-​alone Hallmark these days because now you can «Care to send the very best» from CVS and Walmart =P
ANYWAY. Anne’s is a nice place to shop. Anne even carries Crabtree & Evelyn hand creams. However, I had a hard time finding any Hanukkah cards for my Jewish friends on the East Coast… went with ambiguous Happy Holiday cards with a blue color theme.
