Took my Honda van in to have service. It needed the tires rotated. While they were doing the service I peeked my head outside and watched the technician take my tires off and rotate them. However, when he put them back on, he used the impact wrench. This will stretch out the studs on a vehicle. He did not adjust the impact wrench to a lower setting from when he took off the tires. Therefore, he put them on too tight. When I let the service manager know that this was not correct, he tried to feed me a line that the wrench is set to the torque needed and that is the way they always do it. I asked for them to all be backed off and retightened to specs, which they did. Ask any experienced mechanic and they will tell you that they do it all the time, but know it is wrong. In the end they resolved the issue(maybe), but I probably have lug nut studs that are stretched out now on a 4 month old van, thanks to the lack of proper procedures by the shop. I wouldn’t be surprised if one or two of them are cross threaded either. I wonder how many others they do this to. I am not a shade tree mechanic, as I have been in charge of vehicle maintenance shop for over 20 years. Doug

I have had nothing but good experiences at Bender-Honda Nissan. I have been taking both of my cars here for service for the past year and really enjoy the service manager, as well as the sales people who like to visit while I get my car fixed. They always look up the recalls on my cars and do a great job getting things done quickly. I would highly recommend this business.
