I am here in front of your restaurant. Unilocal says you’re 24⁄7 and you’re closed right now. I’m extremely upset and hungry. Update your times please.

On the way from Santa Fe to San Antonio, TX we stopped at Cook’s Truck Center for brunch. The people in our group had the green chili cheese hamburger, the daily fried chicken special and the regular hamburger with fries. Everything was absolutely delicious and the service was top-notch! Oh, and yes, the home-made chicken noodle soup was just like my grandma used to make. Yummy!

If you are looking for down home cooking and some of the best breakfast in the area, you can’t go wrong here. Simple, yet delicious and you will not leave hungry. While stationed here with the Air Force, this was my go to breakfast joint and hangover curing feel good food joint. Very affordable!

This place is bumped from a 3 to a 4 star for me based on the service alone. It was truly enjoyable. We stopped into Cook’s yesterday mid morning for breakfast/lunch. My parents ordered breakfast items and I ordered a cheeseburger. The atmosphere is rustic, down home, and very friendly. You’ll feel like you stepped into someone else’s boots in this cozy cow town’s trucker pit stop. The staff is warm and welcoming. I had asked for cheddar cheese and the server stopped me during my meal to inform me of the mistake she had made and apologized sincerely, even though I hadn’t noticed, that she’d given me American cheese and tried to replace my half eaten burger. I refused but was impacted by her dedication to my order and attention to detail. I appreciated knowing she cared that I received exactly what I wanted and enjoyed it. Our coffee cups never crossed into half empty and the cash out was prompt and accurate. The food is comfort, southern style American food. This is just the place you need if you’re looking for a home cooked meal.

Breakfast just like at grandma’s house. Large servings, cooked to order and not fancy. The servers are attentive, even with working a large section. Décor is old(probably unchanged in 20 years), but has some interesting things to look at on the walls. A local favorite for a older crowd.

This place is a hidden gem right next to the Loves truck stop. The reviews on Unilocal were good so I thought I would try it out. Ordered the chicken enchiladas. The waitress brought out a big basket of fresh, hot tortilla chips and a large bowl of very tasty chunky salsa. The enchiladas arrived and they were piping hot smothered in queso sauce with pinto beans and cheesy rice to the side. The enchilada were topped with lettuce and a generous amount Chicken Enchiladas. Oops! I thought this was the place where I had the best brisket green chile cheese burrito I’ve ever had in my life! Sorry cook’s! I guess I haven’t tried this restaurant yet no worries though I’ll try it soon! In case anyone’s reading this wondering where I found the best burrito I’ve ever put in my mouth it’s this tiny little gas station/restaurant/tire store. I know how sketchy that sounds. But the brisket burrito is absolutely delish!

Affordable prices for breakfast and brunch. Great for the following basics: pancakes, eggs, waffles, fries. Nothing too out of the ordinary. It’s a little on the greasy side, but what diner doesn’t have a little grease to their flare? Always open, and restaurant has a historic/country/railroad feel. Typical atomisphere are locals and truckers that pass on by.

I had breakfast for the first time here, at 3 in the morning, with four of my friends who just graduated from college. Food was fantastic and so was our server until it came time to pay for our tickets. We all paid in cash and she never came back with the change. We figured that she desperately needed it since she made over $ 40 off of us walking off with our change, never to be seen again.

This place is fantastic for breakfast! I normally come here during the weekends and it’s great everytime. The staff is oober friendly. Partly because the majority of them are sweet old ladies that would pretty much remind you of your grandmother. I usually get the No.3 or the No.5. The eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns are cooked to perfection. However, if you order something that does not come with pancakes. Then order a side of pancakes! If you come here with one other person, I suggest you just order that one side of pancakes because they are huge! I have yet to see one other person other than myself, finish an entire order of pancakes here. So if you want a home cooked style breakfast. Cook’s Truck Center is the place for you!
