I was not expecting much for such a small town and with admission only being 4 dollars. This was a small, but very nice zoo. It was more like a santuary. The animals all looked well taken care of with plenty of toys and room to run around. I got to see some animals I have never seen before. I was surprised to see a hyena, the largest rodent of the world(can’t remember what it was called), a zeedonky(zebra/donkey), and many others. Make sure you bring some quarters to feed the ducks! It was a 4 dollars well spent!

I really liked this zoo. It’s small but has a nice selection of animals. It’s not too crowded and sells Slush Puppies to help you cool down. I was very impressed! For a small town zoo, it’s really great! Will definitely visit again!

Huge expansion and improvements every year. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They even took the time to explain to my daughter what they feed the animals and why. Large zoos typically make you pay for«backstage» passes to have keepers talk to kids about their animals. Low entrance fees and kid friendly. Most of the enclosures are large and the animals look content and well fed.

At less than $ 5 a person this zoo has a lot to offer and is a deal! My family visits about twice a month as it’s a big hit with the kids. I was surprised at the number of exhibits given the location of the zoo. The staff is helpful and does a great job keeping up the place even with limited resources. Some expectation management: this isn’t the San Diego Zoo so don’t arrive expecting something that large. I’d give 4.5 stars if I could.

I am exceedingly impressed with this Zoo. They have a tiger and two giraffes among many other types of animals. This is a great little Zoo for such a small town. The only reason I take a star away is because if you have the expectation of other Zoos(i.e. Dallas, Denver, Columbus) you might be a little disappointed. But there are MANY pluses. It is easy to walk with children, it is cheap, and the staff is very nice. We had a keeper tell us all about what she was feeding the animals when we last went. We try to make a trip to this Zoo a weekly event at our house and it’s easy to do with a small accessable Zoo.

Overall, a decent zoo and worth the $ 3 admission. Many different animals, including a bald eagle. We spent about an hour in the zoo. Drawbacks: Some exhibits were built so that it was difficult to see the animal; and the sizes of some exhibits seemed too big for the animal, and others too small.
