K’s Oriental Food Store

In a small town where finding special items at the grocery store is rare, K’s Oriental Store provides some much needed relief. K’s sells practically anything you would need to cook your favorite Far East dish. This is where we go to get our rice noodles for phở, tapioca balls for boba tea, seaweed sheets for sushi, and bean paste for miso soup. They have so much more too. Plus, the owner is extremely nice and friendly. Aside from being an Asian grocery store, K’s also serves as a delicious takeout option. If you call in advance, Soon, the owner, will make you an order of beef bulgogi, kimchi or spicy cucumber salad. If you don’t call in advance, she will likely give you a sample of whatever she has cooking when you browse the store. I would recommend giving K’s a try. And don’t be discouraged when you first step into the store. The shelves are usually in disarray, but Soon will help you navigate the madness and explain what each item is best suited for in the kitchen.

The best Asian grocery store in Clovis. The owner is super sweet and friendly. Many items available AND she’ll make you home made bulgogi and kimchi, you just have to let her know ahead of time. If you can’t find an item, she’s usually willing to order it for you, if she can. It’s not the prettiest store, but it’s the one with the most to choose from and super friendly.
