Payless Shoesource

Payless is payless and you pretty much know the product assortment when you walk in. I mean, it’s a cheap shoe store, so how many surprises can there be? :)
The thing I love about this store is the customer service. I work in the mall so I am in and out of the stores there ALL the time, and this store is by far one of the best in the customer service department. I have shopped there a few times and each time the sales people are VERY knowledgable about their styles/​sizes/​selection. They make reccomendations based on what people are looking at, and always manage to throw in a cute little detail about something like «oh that has new memory foam technology» or «mochasins are the hottest thing right now and will most likely be sold out this week.» They aren’t high-​pressure sales people, but are perfectly friendly and seem to honestly be happy to help people. Rather refreshing compared to many of the stores in Fashion Fair!

The store only had one person staffed during the time that I was there which for a store that has more than a couple aisles isn’t a good idea. When I needed help, the sales lady was busy with another customer which really wasn’t the problem (yet). I ended up finding what I needed but when I went over to the counter to make my purchase, I ended up waiting for a good 5 or so min with the sales lady not ever once saying «I’ll be right there» or something like it. I ended up walking out without buying anything. Waste of time.
The store at the River Park area (which I use mostly) is sooo much better. The staff is very helpful and friendly.
