Super 8 Clovis

I was traveling through town and needed a place for the night. The major hotels were booked and my co-​worker suggested Super 8. Really? Ok, I was so tired that I just wanted to get off the road. Well, to my surprise, it wasn’t what I expected. It was more. Wow, the room was nice, spacious, clean, equipped with a mini refrigerator, microwave, complimentary water, and numerous tv channels which you usually don’t get at the major hotels. Not what I have seen in Super 8 hotels before. The staff was so friendly from checking in, coming to my room to troubleshoot the heater, and social hour.
Yes, social hour. I have never been to a Super 8 that had a social hour, usually, it’s the bigger hotel chains that have this daily event. I went down to go check it out expecting veggies, cheese, crackers, chips, and dip. Nope, it was green chili chicken stew, tacos, chips, can drinks, and popcorn. What? Yep, homemade stew, which was a nice bonus with local flavor. It became my dinner for the night and didn’t have to go anywhere.
When I was leaving the lobby, the parking lot was getting full with trucks and company trucks so apparently, the truck drivers that travel through Clovis know where to stay the night. Even though this hotel is located on the main highway next to the railroad tracks, it was fairly quiet. This hotel fits my budget and I was pleased to have the experience here. The owners have done a great job making this place feel like home with updates. Thank you.

Was amazing in every single way UNTIL… went to check out been waiting in lobby over 40 minutes… housekeepers can not find front desk lady anywhere??? What the hell??? Turns out she went McDonalds next door.

Don’t let the older exterior fool you. The rooms are updated, clean and very comfortable! They have a nice complimentary breakfast consisting of cereal, bagels, waffles, breakfast tacos, coffee, tea and juices. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The only issues we had were some no working outlets and non working hairdryer.
It’s a great place to stay and will not break your budget.
