Great thai food, good portions and good prices. I believe it is the owner who is the one there working and serving us and he is always kind. Very kid friendly(we have a 1 and 3 year old) and they are always kind to us about having the kids along.

came here with some girlfriends and the food was actually really good. the best part of it was that it was pretty cheap and super tasty. the portions are good and the service is substantial. went in when it was pretty dead so we had a pretty attentive waitress. i had a lunch plate with rice, some stir fry pork and yellow curry. everything was delicious. i also ordered the tom yum soup, it had a little bit more fish sauce than id like in it(and trust me, i LOVE me some good delicious fish sauce) but still tasted pretty good overall. will definitely be bak when i need to feed my thai cravings.

I’ve came here a couple of times already, so I figure it’s about time for a review. The menu here has lots of items. Anyhow, nothing has really WOWED me about the food. I ordered different item on the menu everytime and all I get at best is that it’s edible. When I say edible, it doesn’t mean a bad thing at all because I will come back due to lack of similar restaurant in this area. The service that I get here at this establishment is consistent. That to me is very considerable for a family operation, if I ain’t wrong about the family part. Although I tend to go to eastside Fresno for most of my Lao/Thai food, I would still drop in, if in the area and in the mood. But like I said in the beginning, they have quite a variety on their menu and when I return maybe something might catch my attention(WOW me). Until then I mean everything I say in this review til I update it.

My family comes here for special occasions and we all enjoy the food, even my father who hates Japanese food enjoys Thai food here. We’d come more often if they also accepted Discover, which they don’t currently. It’s by far the best Thai food in Fresno, light, clean and tasty. Other Thai restaurants in Fresno tend to be heavy, oily and closer to Indian food than Thai, especially in their curries. The staff is gracious, being attentive without being overly so, and always willing to open a little early or stay a little later, without rushing you out.

I don’t get to this side of town often, but I look forward to heading back here. This place was a little tricky for us to find, but a quick phone call asking directions and I was able to find it. When we arrived the place was dark and we weren’t sure if they were open or not. Thankfully, the nice lady said their break was about over and she didn’t mind cooking a little early. We were grateful, cause we were rushing to get home. Since this was the first time there, we decided to stick to something simple. Chicken pad Thai. I have to say, it was really good. Out of the places I’ve tried locally, this place does it the best! The chicken was good quality and had great flavor. The tofu was really good too, at first I didn’t even realize it was pieces of tofu. Even my honey noticed this and how good the tofu tasted. The ingredients all were fresh and the flavors were good and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The dish wasn’t overly greasy or super sweet and leftovers reheated well. All good points to me. The prices were reasonable and comparable to other places in town and the place was very clean. I look forward to coming back and trying more menu items. Now I wish I was on this side of town more often. Next time I get a pad Thai craving, I’m heading here for sure.

I give it 5 stars for the Pad Thai, this is the place I compare all the other Thai restaurants Pad Thai to mmmmm. Yah it’s really good I usually get the chicken Pad Thai but occasionally I’ll get the shrimp and its equally good. Lunch specials aren’t that bad either, sometimes get the curry which is really good as well. Every time I try and make it to Clovis/Fresno area I try and make it to this spot to eat the Pad Thai.

It was pricey compared to other Thai places. Since we had to rush back to work, we just ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp and chicken and it was good but nothing outstanding. Unfortunately an hour later, both our stomachs were rumbling and not feeling good at all. Not the bathroom kind tummy pain(thank goodness) but uneasy, we shouldn’t have gotten the shrimp feeling so… eh. Its a good experience to try though just to know.

I SADLY have to downgrade my original review, from a 4.5 to a 3.5 rating. After the last couple times here, i’ve suspected a change in the cook. Sadly, I just learned from an unnamed source that this is true. Not necessarily a change, but supposedly the main cook(s) want to take a step back, and have basically trained a new one. Dishes I’ve always ordered here in the past, have just been tasting SLIGHTLY different lately, as if there’s something missing. The best way I can describe this, is that the flavors just seem ‘off’ and not as sharp or pronounced as they used to be. I ordered papaya salad the other day, and the first few bites were fine, but as I got towards the bottom, it started to taste rather bitter and the flavors were uneven and inconsistent, as if it wasn’t mixed properly, or thoroughly. If this keeps up, it will be VERY saddening to me and I’m sure other loyal customers, mainly because this used to be the only place I could get authentic tasting Thai food outside of my Mom’s kitchen. If the owners are reading, PLEASE revert back to the original cooking methods. As of now, I cannot officially recommend Time for Thai 100% anymore. The food is still ‘good,’ and maybe still better than a large majority of the terrible Thai food in this town, but it’s just not the same. To those of you wondering, I’ve noticed this specifically within the last 2 — 3 months. Before that, it seemed completely fine and normal. I truly hope the owners are reading this. Fresno and Clovis is already a gaping fucking blackhole for Thai restaurants, and Time for Thai used to be the only glimmer of hope. Everyone I’ve talked to lately who has eaten here in the past month and was also an original fan agrees, there’s «something different.» Hopefully this feedback gets to the owners. I can’t say i’ll 100% stop coming here, but If this continues — I’ll surely be coming here a lot less.

I came here because Gem of Thailand is closed on Sundays and I had a serious craving for Thai Iced Tea and Pad See Ew. We ordered: Thai Iced Teas: tasty with a slightly stronger tea taste than others Pad See Ew: made with Chinese broccoli; the noodles came out very light in color and were not as flavorful as Gem of Thailand’s or most other Thai restaurants I’ve been, too Pra Ram Long Song: choice of meat over spinach and topped with a coconut peanut sauce; delish!!! Really disappointed in the Pad See Ew so I would probably not come back here because of that alone. They also don’t have too many curries to choose from and no pineapple fried rice either. However, the coconut peanut sauce was bomb! I could’ve just eaten sticky rice drenched in that sauce and been a happy girl.

This place is just GREAT! i went during lunch time and got a lunch plate which is $ 10 and you get to choose two items from the list provided. I got the thai bbq chicken and the red curry. The bbq chicken comes with a sweet and sour sauce and it was so delicious. i think they mightive sprinkled it with yellow curry power before putting on a grill and it came out really crispy and delicious. The red curry was really good too. lots of veggies in it and very flavorful. My boyfriend got the yellow curry which was probably the best curry i’ve eaten. It sort of reminded me of the packaged GOLDEN curry they sell in the stores, but like a million times better. it was just insanely good. My boyfriend also got this beef peppered stir fry type of thing, which was okay. the beef was really tough. our lunch also came with a veggy soup which was really great also. this place is a little pricier than i expected, but the food is just totally worth it.

I saw these posts and this place was near me so I decided to try it. I had phad thai, tom kha kai, and fried chicken wings. In short, I won’t be going back. The food isn’t that bad but I have had better in Clovis for less money. I think the food is over priced. I won’t pay $ 9 something for average to below average phad thai when I can get average to above average for less in the same part of town. Authenticity… I think not. Added note: Mushrooms in the soup(tom kha kai) was not washed well. Had dirt on the underside of the mushroom; I felt a little crunch chewing into it. Looked at the mushroom and yep there was dirt.

Good food, similar to many of the Thai restaurants in Fresno. Try their taro root appetizer, so delicious I will be back for more. Our waitress was really friendly and gave great service.

pretty standard Thai fare. their pad thai was tasty, but pretty much the same as any other pad thai i’ve tasted. Mixed vegetables was nicely done, not too salty or spicy. waitress there was very nice.

Not bad Thai food. If you explain that you want your dishes«Thai spicy» not«American spicy,» it’s pretty authentic. Their grilled dishes are salty, salty, salty though.

I first ate at this restaurant over 4 years ago with my parents. I loved the food the first time and still have enjoyed it on every visit back since then. The larb is delicious as an appetizer to share. I usually have the seafood combination with chili sauce. It hits the spot very time :) My boyfriend really enjoys eating here too. He usually orders the pad thai with shrimp. Just thinking about this is making me hungry: P Seriously though pretty much every other thai place I’ve tried doesn’t live up to the this place. I may be partial, but the food just doesn’t taste as good. The service is good and if you go try out their tempura banana with ice cream for dessert. I love it!
