Well, my full hip replacement, performed by Dr Baysal of University Orthopaedic Associates, is about a month past. The incision is well-approximated and I am making strength gains. Whatever I may have said in prejudice of them in previous reviews really now comes down to this: the surgery is a success, Dr Baysal did a great job, I trust him to do my other hip and knees when the time comes. I was in the office today because oddly there is a slight infection at the top of my incision where my waist band sits. It hurts like heck, but it’s no one’s fault. However… I was worried, So, I called Baysal’s at 11 a.m. and got in by 12:45 pm. Extremely appreciative of being pushed to the top of the after lunch break. The Physician’s Assistant who attended to me was knowledgeable, concerned and friendly. She wrote a script of antibiotics post haste. I even got a quick check in with the surgeon, Dr Baysal, himself. I really have to compliment him on his new shorter hair. Much more handsome. Oh, also, my issues with Surgical Scheduling were ironed out. I believe, we had more a miscommunication than anything. Thanks Martha in scheduling for walking me through it and getting it all set up!
