My husband and I were in the fairway café the other day, I had the French dip sandwich and was expecting to have a great lunch! But was fiercely disappointed! The meat was nothing but FAT! Couldn’t even eat it, let alone look at it, it was soooo gross! I’ll give a one star only because I have to rate it before posting

Four of us enjoyed our Saturday lunch at The Fairway Café. Two of us had the Chili Cheese Omelet, and both agreed it was very good — good chili, and well-prepared omelet. But, we’d asked to have the omelette made with onions, and as she served us they waitress noticed the onions were missing, so she returned our plates to the kitchen, where raw onions were added to the top of the dish — not quite the same as having them cooked inside the omelet. One of us ordered a very good grilled cheese sandwich, with tomatoes inside; it came out right, and was above average. However, the same person ordered a side of fresh fruit(perhaps a mistake in January in the northern hemisphere), and it was — despicable. Brown-tinged honeydew melon — ugh! To her credit, the waitrss noticed only one bite had been tried, mentioned it, and said she would take it off the bill.(But, I ordered the fresh fruit, instead of potatoes, received the same size bowl with the same despicable-appearing fruit, and no mention was made — perhaps because it was include in the price of the omelet; if the waitress hadn’t been so busy during our meal, I would have pointed it out to her, and asked her to bring me some potatoes.) The fruit should never have been served, though — canned fruit cocktail would have been a great improvement over the melon. Definetly worth a return visit, but next time we’ll need to be more specific with our order, and take time to request corrections.

I can’t believe no one has Unilocaled this place. I frequent the place when I go up with my mother to visit. We often stop in here to grab a bite after church. Often there is plenty of seating and in general the place smells quite nice. The many times I’ve been have always been great experiences. In the past with other restaurants, I’m often ignored when the coffee mug is empty. Not the case with this place. They keep the coffee filled and are on top of providing good customer experiences. The food itself has always tasted fresh every time I’ve gone. My only complaint about this place is the often lack of parking. This has only been a problem on really busy weekends. Every other time I’ve been here, there has always been plenty of parking. Definitely, if you are in the area and are looking for a good breakfast place, check this out.
