My girlfriends and I were in town for my bachelorette party, and we decided to head somewhere local for dinner. We saw a sign for pizza, and we walked right in! The customer service was very good. Our waitress was really helpful helping us decide what was good on the menu. We decided to order their toasted raviolis, which were yummy, and their pizza. We decided on their double pizza out of curiosity, and I am a fan. The other girls I was with LOVED it. I thought it was just ok. A lot of cheese for my liking. We had a lot of leftovers, let’s just say that. The only negative to my experience was my soda. It tasted really funny. The other girls that ordered beer had no problems. Overall a great place!

I had a great time at the Palace last time I went. The pizza was really good, and the thick crust was nicely baked – not too crisp and not too doughy either. Karaōke, though, was awesome. Great karaōke DJ, a good crowd of singers, and a fun environment. The owner even came by and introduced herself after I sang. I’m glad to have moved down the road from this place. I’ll be coming back often.

Heard great things about this place from friends. People that said there weren’t enough signs to find the place — it’s easy to just put it in your GPS. Came here on a Friday night… Great music, friendly staff, and THEBESTPIZZA! We had the Nacho Chicken, Chicken Alfredo, and sausage and pepperoni. Tried their thick and thin crust. Both were sooo good! I don’t think I could pick a favorite! They also had a great selection of wines from the area. It’s probably what some would consider a «dive bar,» but honestly… That’s my favorite kind of bar! You find the best food and people at these kind of places. Our waitress even gave us some tips for the wine trail and places to try. Hope to come back to this area soon for a long weekend… And this place is a MUST!

Okay, so I decided to try them a third time. First the regular crust which was practically inedible, then the thin crust which was eh but just okay. Finally, I should have tried it first as it’s award winning, the double crust. It’s not deep dish or a large crust like I imagined. It’s more of a stuffed pizza. The crust on top and bottom was done quite well. I had the hamburger pizza and it reminded me of a runza…, yum.

Pros: Tastes good! Cons: Poor directions from highway, not really a «tourist attraction» Tip for out-of-the-area visitors: The Palace is in Cobden. Roadside signs do not give adequate directions/location. While driving in this area on Highway 51 we noticed a blue sign that named Palace Pizzeria as a «tourist attraction.» We were kinda curious as to how a pizza place could be considered a «tourist attraction,» so we asked our B&B host. He said that although Cobden is not a hub of activity, there might be entertainment, games, etc. So I was thinking a small version of Chunk E. Cheese except for a more general audience age. So we order a pizza. Not knowing the address, we figured we’d just find the sign again and follow directions from there. Once you exit the highway, though, you’re on your own. At one point the road forked and we picked and we drove down the larger path. We hit Coben High School. Not having remembered a pizza parlor, we turned back and went the other way. The other path was windy and lead through a lot of residential back country. After 15 minutes of driving around on the windy road we headed back to Cobden to see if we could get directions from there. Well, lo and behold, the Palace is in Cobden! So we spent a total of 40 minutes aimlessly driving around when the drive was only 10 minutes from where we were staying. The place is a small hole-in-the-wall. There is no way you could call this a «tourist attraction» unless you consider watching the grass grow entertainment. Since this is a very small town, it is more of a Friday/weekend get together spot. The pizza itself was delicious, and I am glad we finally found The Palace. The sauce was nice and thick and had a savory flavor to it. We requested thin crust, and it was correctly made, a little crisp on the outside, but not so thin as to be soggy. I subtracted one star since there needs to be better signage directing people to the place, especially since you’re putting one sign on the highway telling people to turn off. Also because for 95% of people The Palace is not a «tourist attraction» but someplace(good) to eat.
