Delicious subs, and yes, they are indeed freaky fast. There is never a long line, aside from lunch time on the weekends and even that is not bad at all. They usually pull the doughy part out of the bread but will leave it in at your request, so be sure to ask if that’s what you like. Delivery is fast too. Within 12 minutes of my phone call, someone was ringing my doorbell with our subs. Give them a try, you’ll be happy you did.

This review is actually for the new J.J.‘s that just opened up in Eldersburg. I waited for a long time for Jimmy Johns to open up here in Carroll County only to be disappointed yesterday when I went in to get dinner. I expected for $ 8.99 sandwich called The JJ Gargantuan was going to be GARGANTUAN! So disappointed… The meat was good and tasted fresh but the bread was tough and really tore the roof of my mouth up and I could hardly finish it. The bread just didn’t stack up to sub standard. To me, bread is a deal breaker to an awesome sub and also the high price for sub par sandwich is another. In other words get better, softer bread and the high cost of the JJ will be excepted better. Oh yeah one more thing, I ask for EVERYTHING(onions and hots) and there weren’t any… sighhhh

So clearly it does not pay to be the first one in the door. I arrived all 11:01(see receipt). They open at 11, so why I’m the world is my sandwich composed of bread from yesterday. The bread was so touch I literally had to snatch it away when biting the sandwich. The ends were extremely hard as well and the sandwich was put together in such a rush as you can clearly see from the picture… such a disappointment. If you want to a full stomach afterwards this is definitely NOT the place to go. If most of the sandwich is going to be bread, you could at least make sure it’s fresh…

Quick and nice sized sub for on the go. I wish they delivered to my house which isn’t even that far from it. And being known for super quick delivery, it is kinda pointless to me. The parking there is kinda tight but its a grab-n-go place.

Cheap. Quick. Fresh. Wish they delivered to my apartment… 3 miles away. Gripe!!!

Not sure how this place intends to stay in business at this location with Jersey Mike’s and Firehouse Subs right around the corner. Good luck with small portions and ten workers standing around. just too many good choices for subs in the neighborhood to skimp on the meat. the little dining room in the back is just depressing.

The hype is true! The subs are prepared and delivered freaky fast! And they are really, really good. I love their menu selections. Every time I go, I try something different and everything has been good. They put a good amount of meat and cheese on the subs or sandwiches so it balances with the amount of toppings. The sub roll and the wheat bread are both really, really good. The food never looks sloppy, even though they prepare it so fast.

I ordered their version of an Italian cold cut. The guy who took my order was so high that he could barely function & was practically drooling. The sub was small & average at best & had too much bread. Subway is a lot better which isn’t saying much. I doubt that I will be going back anytime soon.

I have to say, I like you, Jimmy John’s. You did mess up my first ever order with you, but instead of just delivering the missing ingredient(avocado), you promptly insisted on making me a new sandwich and delivering it just as quickly as the first. Color me impressed, and you’ve just earned a repeat customer. Thank you so much! And just like advertised, they were freaky fast, not only with the original order, but with the corrected re-made sandwich.

This is such a nice alternative to subway. The food quality is significantly better along with the service. Though I have just outside of their delivery zone, I think the other aspect that makes them so appealing is their online ordering app. You can get extremely specific with the most minor detail of how you want your food from labeling the name of each sub, to cutting them in half to giving you many options for each topping. I love that when you dine in, they basically make you your sub, made to order, and have it ready for you by the time you are done paying. I just can’t imagine myself ever picking subway over JJ’s

This is one of my all time favorite cheap lunches. The tuna salad is delicious and the bread is the best. We typically take home an extra loaf just to snack on.

Decent alternative to Subway, though with less options overall. All the sandwiches I’ve had here in more than a half dozen visits have been pretty good, but nothing exotic. The best thing overall is the lightning fast service that results from their operational model. They also have an excellent online app that allows you to order for delivery or pick up, complete with many customization options. Price-wise they’re a bit more costly than Subway, which tends to offer some good meal deals. Another area in which Subway has an advantage is in the large number of roll options. The 3 star rating would easily be a 4 if JJ’s had a more diverse menu and was a tad less costly.

Growing up, there was a bakery( ) nearby that had amazing everything… bagels, deli sandwiches, pastries, etc. I’m over an hour away from that place now and have luckily found amazing bagels at Goldberg’s and Towson Hot Bagel, and amazing pastries at the Amish Market. What I haven’t found is a place with good, basic sandwiches. Until I went to Jimmy John’s. Knowing it was a chain, I had minimal expectations but it was so good. The Royal Bakery has a sandwich that I love, which is just turkey, roast beef, lettuce, tomato, and mayo on a sub roll and I got the same thing at Jimmy John’s(the bootlegger club) that was just as close to perfection as it could be. And they made it in like 17 seconds. Everything tasted fresh, the sub roll was really soft, there was good ratio of all ingredients, and it was just exactly what I wanted. The Jimmy John’s chips were good, as well.

Jimmy John’s, my old flame… We once held hands and ran through the sands on Lake Michigan back in Chicago… You tasted so good on my mouth with your delicious fresh breadiness. I’ve missed you, my old love… You were so far away, but now you’ve moved to Baltimore and even better — right around the corner from me. We can rekindle our old love affair. I promise to be gentle with your soft fleshy bread. Jimmy John’s advertised that they are freaky fast, and it’s true. I can go in, order two subs, get my drink cup and by the time I’m done filling it up and putting the lid on it, they’re handing me my subs. Overall, JJ’s is better than Subway in all ways(especially quality). This location is as great as any other location.

Definitely better than Subway and Quizno’s. The staff is super friendly(and funny), and everything runs quickly. They easily crank out subs in under a minute, and the ingredients are always fresh and tasty. The chips and pickles are good, too!

A step up from Subway, but just a step. They are fast and the bread is fresh and the sandwiches are OK. But they aren’t anything particularly spectacular or amazing. This is in an heavy business area so lunch will keep them alive. It’s better then going hungry, but just not good enough to go out of my way for.

Sooooo excited for Jimmy John’s!!! I think they opened last week so you know I was in there! I know they’re a chain but they are the best dang chain ever. My favorite deli sandwiches and yes they’re THAT fast. Walked in on a Wednesday night ordered a #10 Hunters Club, it was so fresh and I was in and out in under 5mins. Only problem was they didn’t wrap it very well and it came undone in my car, my sandwich fell face down on my passengers seat when I picked it up, good thing it fell in the wrapping paper but still, could’ve been a disaster.
