I’m just gonna give them all 5 five stars because the park deserves it. This is for sure my favorite spot now and I can’t describe how amazing it is. Got there early which helps to find parking. I was greeted with kindness and in a friendly manner and the beach spot is just amazing. I loved it, makes me wish I was a cocoa beach local.

soooooo disappointed. I got the impression that the dog park was actually on the beach… so we drove an hour and a half to come check it out… the dog park is not on the beach. it is in the parking lot… and as far as dog parks I’ve seen, it’s pretty run down and boring. just a small area of fenced in grass.
there were plenty of hoses to wash the dogs off after playing though. so that was nice.

Beautiful clean beach with a playground! There are even beach rentals and the parking is free. But seems like during peak times there’s no parking.

Lori Wilson park is just a little farther down than Ron Jon and is a perfect beach spot in Cocoa. Free parking, close bathrooms & showers, and quieter atmosphere. There was even a little «food truck» selling snow cones and other drinks.
On the beach, the sand is great. There is plenty of room to spread out if you have a big group with you. There is a volleyball net and it was not occupied when we were there.
I definitely recommend driving just another 2 minutes past Ron Jon and take advantage of this spot!

We wanted to enjoy cocoa beach but didn’t want to pay for parking. We found this place on reviews of free parking showers and baths.
There was plenty of parking and it was right off the path into cocoa beach.
The area looks safe and clean a lot of families parked in this area. There was also a food stand that was selling shaved ice and you can put any flavorings you wish. There was two shower areas outside to wash off the sand from your head and one for your feet. The bathrooms were clean and well-​kept.
Overall the experience to go to cocoa beach was memorable if I’m in the area again I would go here to park my car.

The park is very clean. It has beach access and lifeguards on duty at times, free parking (and there are a good amount of parking spaces), showers, a play ground, and bathroom. I also saw a snow cone vendor is that interests you. It met all our expectations. My only note would be that some of the boards on the paths leading out to the beach are a little loose but it looks like they are in the process of replacing them…

Nice little beach park! Pros include free parking, free dirty restroom, relatively clean beach, outdoor sand showers, a Hawaiian shaved ice stand at times, and did I mention free parking?

Nice little park, they have a play area, large field and pavilions. Cute place to have a party. I didn’t like the mulch. I prefer rubber but hey it served its purpose I guess. My son and his friend had a good time. They had a nice swing set too. The playground says it for children 5 – 11. There were a few obstacles that my four year old couldn’t do. But we liked it.

Visited Cocoa Beach from Orlando at 2pm on a Saturday. Found this park by chance while searching for parking in the area. I figured with it being free and all, there would likely be a long wait for parking, but I was able to secure a spot in under 5 minutes. The bathrooms are clean and well-​stocked. Who can complain about free beach parking and bathrooms?!

Get here early!!! Parking goes fast. Had to circle the parking lot for 30 minutes before getting a spot on Sunday at 11am. The beach was crowded but had lifeguards. There were guys renting umbrellas and chairs for $ 20 for 4 hours. There are only outdoor showers and the bathrooms were disgusting!!! I would rather go to Andy Romano Beach Park in Ormond Beach;)

Welp, I was expecting a lot. Somehow I got the impression that this is a dog beach. It isn’t. It’s a dog park and a people beach. Talk about first-​world problems.
So as dog parks go, it’s pretty standard… separate big and small dogs, with the small dog owners looking worried and suspicious of the big dogs despite the fence. There’s a bunch of room for them to run and a sheltered place for humans to sit. It’s pretty muddy if rain has fallen. The usual.
Also — parking is free, which as many others have said, this is a big deal in Cocoa. Like the 1856 presidential election, it’s not all that exciting.

This review is for the dog park. I wish there were more quality dog parks like this one beachside. The one in Satellite sucks. This park is kept up, has plenty of chairs, and 2 kiddy pools for the dogs to play in. My 9 year old spent all his time in the dog pool and getting soaked by the hose. My puppy just had fun exploring. All the dogs on the day we came seemed to be well behaved, unlike some dog parks, where you only see weekend warriors with unsocialized dogs and lots of behavioral problems. There are some dig areas, but I was told this isn’t a problem, as the park is routinely resurfaced. Makes sense, since we only have sand beachside, not actual dirt.

I found out about this park while doing a google search for parking by Cocoa Beach. I was on vacay in Orlando and wanted to take my mom to a nearby beach. We got to Cocoa Beach on a Sunday morning and were fortunate to find a spot instantly! We really had a great time and I loved not having to pay for parking after the outrageous parking fees I had to pay while visiting spots in Orlando. Try to get there early because as we were leaving it was quite a few people waiting for a parking spot! Also for those who don’t have umbrellas and those other swim accessories there are places near the park you can rent that stuff from although we didn’t notice those places until we left unfortunately! Regardless we had a wonderful time and hope to visit again soon!

Floridians are all beach snobs, right? We have our favorite spots, know where the college students go, where the tourists go, where there are tons of shells, where there are good waves. We have it all figured out. So when you find a new beach you like it’s a big deal. This was my first visit to Lori Wilson park and I was so surprised. For a beach in Cocoa it is a great find.
We arrived around 9 and there was plenty of parking. But it’s Florida in July so by the time we left people were very happy to wait five minutes to get my spot. It was full.
The beach itself was gorgeous. No shells, but that was fine with me. There are lifeguards posted along the beach. We picked a spot at the north end of the beach just before a hotel and there was a sign that that was the end of the lifeguard territory so I tried to keep the kids from passing that marker (I guess they won’t rescue people past that point?).
There were good-​sized waves here. My kids did a lot of boogie-​boarding and we saw a few surfers out.
There are restroom facilities which is a plus. The ladies room was pretty nasty but it worked.
We parked at the north entrance. There is a second entrance on «I Dream of Jeanie Drive» that has a dog park but we didn’t make it over there. There is a nature trail which I would have loved to do but we didn’t have the time.
I will have to go back. From where I live in Orlando this is the closest nice beach I have found. This will be my new go-​to beach for day trips.

We came here on Memorial Day after reading reviews and enjoyed our time quite a bit. The parking is free and when we came around 9:00 — 9:30 am on a holiday, there was still ample parking (it got much busier around 1:00 when we left though). The beach itself was fairly clean (just a few cigarette butts and wrappers) and it wasn’t even all that packed. There is a small shower to clean off the sand after you’re done and the restrooms nearby were in good working order and clean. We’ll be back again!

Lori Wilson Park has lots of public parking, picnic tables, play center, and access to the beach with seasonal life guards on duty. They also have showers and rest rooms for cleaning off the salt and sand and changing into beach gear.

Pros… free parking, bathrooms, showers, and food truck and live music was there this weekend.
Cons… packed beach

Free parking, and the nature trail is awesome. Saw all kinds of cool plants and animals, a few good photo ops and some tree branches to swing on!
Just don’t be a litter bug =).

OK UnilocalERS, here’s the deal. Don’t tell anyone else about this park. It is a county park, free parking. The dog park is one of the best things the City of Cocoa Beach has ever done (the park is a joint venture between the city and the county). We love it. The nature trail in the center is a great escape from all the noise that a beach town has to offer.
I grew up here, and Lori Wilson Park is one of the best things this wonderful barrier island has to offer.
Just don’t tell anyone else!

I love this park! There is a dog park near the highway, some picnic spots in the middle, a lovely boardwalk leading you to the beach, a pretty nature/​birding trail, AND an amazing and beautiful beach! What more could you want? A bar or café, perhaps, but you won’t find one here.
The location is nice because Cocoa Beach is pretty built up to the north and south of Lori Wilson Park. But here, you don’t have hotels looming over you. The sand is so fine it squeaks under your feet. My daughter and I visited in December and the water was swimmably warm. Tiny waves make this a good swim spot, but there can be a rip current, so be careful. There is a lifeguard on site, which is nice.
The afternoon we spent here felt like paradise. I truly didn’t want to leave.
