My a/c unit was not cooling and the condenser fan outside was not spinning. Tommy was professional and came the same day that I called. He isolated the problem within seconds and had my condenser fixed within 10 minutes. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Cool Guyz A/C & Heat, came out to perform a routine annual service call. Jim was very thorough and spent over an hour checking each and every part ensuring that the system was working properly. He took apart the system, cleaned parts, checked the system performance with various gauges. I was very impressed with his work and would not hesitate to highly recommend this company to anyone in need of A/C or Heat repairs. Thanks for a job well done!

This isn’t the first time I’ve used Cool Guyz and it certainly won’t be the last. The last time I used them they were incredibly professional and efficient. I came home to 90 degrees in the house but since it was after hours I assumed that we’d have to deal with it until the morning but I called and left a message anyway. One of the guys had checked in, he was in the area and came out. He checked the unit, fixed what needed to be fixed in less than 10 minutes. I can’t say enough good things about these guys. If you need help with your air conditioning or heating these are the guys to call, don’t look any further.

Let me start off by saying that I have an 19 year old(installed in 1996) air conditioning unit that from the date of my home inspection to now everyone that has seen it has said that it needs to be replaced ASAP. Everybody has just seen how old the unit is and has written it off as «ready to die», so when my house was 90 degrees one morning 2 weeks ago, naturally, right after my honeymoon and right before my inlaws were scheduled to arrive I feared the worst. I contacted numerous air conditioning services via phone and was actually unable to leave voicemails at a majority of the numbers. I even contacted my home warranty company to schedule a service visit, but they failed to get back to me as well. The first 3 days of searching for a A/C service team to trust were fruitless and sweaty. Finally, at the suggestion of a patient I contacted Cool Guyz after one more day of «hoping» the other 5 companies would act professionally and return a phone call. After contacting Cool Guyz I had to leave a voicemail because I called after normal business hours and became nervous knowing the track record of call backs. I was pleasantly surprised when I was contacted at 9AM the next morning by a kind and professional woman via telephone. They offered me a same day diagnostic visit that blew away my scheduling expectations. When the 2 A/C guys showed up they were dealing with my wife who really doesn’t know very much about A/C(neither do I, btw) and they were extremely honest and professional when attempting to diagnose the problem. They spent 60 minutes attempting to locate the source of a small freon leak in my system, but after tirelessly searching were unable to locate the leak. They were honest and said that there was a small leak, that they couldn’t find it and that recharging the system would more than likely solve the issue. Unfortunately, the issue wasn’t solved with just the recharge and one of the capacitors in the outside compressor unit needed to be replaced because it had been destroyed when the system ran with coolant for too long. Finally, they were able to replace that and get my A/C unit cooling the house again. They gave me an estimate on a replacement system because they said that would exempt me from the«service fee» and recommended that I not get the system replaced until it completely dies. This blew me away because I honestly thought that a sales pitch would be coming to my wife, given how obvious it was that us northerners weren’t very well versed in A/C and how long they spent searching for our problem. However, the two guyz gave us the invoice for the repair and the system replacement and said something to the effect of, «I have plenty of customers that actually need to have their systems replaced, I’ll replace theirs and not worry about trying to sell you on a new unit until you actually need one.» This just isn’t something you hear people say anymore. Companies these days seem to be all about making a quick buck and maximizing profits and seem to have placed much less emphasis on customer satisfaction or the customer’s perceived value of the services provided. It was wonderful to see that there are still honest folks out there that are professional, knowledgable and reliable. Thank you Cool Guyz. I will recommend you to everybody I ever meet that needs air conditioning services. You truly exceeded my expectations.

Got same day appointment. Jim fixed everything that needed to be fixed and checked out everything else to make sure that the unit was working properly. Highly recommend these Cool Guyz.

I was very impressed with the honesty and professionalism of Cool Guys, they informed me that my compressor was under warranty and it just would be labor and freon charges. Who does that now a days?

Great Smaller Air Conditioning and Heating Company When we moved into our new home, the gas heaters(there are 3 in the house) had not been used in many months. When a cold front hit in January of 2012 only one of the three heaters in the house would turn on. We called company whose stickers indicated they had previously serviced the AC and heat when the house was owned by the former owners. That big A/C company with the big add in the yellow pages said they could service the heaters on Monday(I called them Wednesday morning). Having young kids, I did not want to wait 5 days for service. At the recommendation of our carpenter /handyman Errol’s Finish Carpentry(also reviewed on Unilocal), I called Cool Guyz. They came the same day, about 4 hours after I called. They started around 4:00 and kept working until both units were fixed and running. They stayed until after 6:00 to get the job done. The repair person was explained the system to me and what was wrong(in our prior homes we had electric heat so I was pretty clueless about gas heat). The price was a little less than we were quoted by the big A/C company that would taken five days. To me using a small nimble responsive company like Cool Guyz where you are likely to see the owner one of his few senior employess each time is better than using a huge company where you see somebody else each time. They fixed both heaters with no new parts. The tech was professional and took pride in his work. This is who I will call for A/C and Heat in the future.
