Bagel Cafe

Apparently this place closed recently (it had been renamed Gina’s Bagel café after Bagel Bagel moved in a few years ago at the next strip mall), just saw the brown paper covering the windows today, even though they had all their signs up. Well, unlike Bagel Bagel, I won’t miss this place at all. The food was good for breakfast, but a few years ago one of the waitresses showed a snotty attitude, that’s game over for me as there are too many other dine-​out options in S. Florida.
UPDATE ¹⁰⁄₁₆: hold off on this restaurant’s demise… I was at the adjacent Public Tuesday 10/​16, and one of the Publix bag girls pointed out a sign on Gina’s Bagel saying «Closed due to Flood… remodeling»…well maybe, we have all heard the «Closed for Remodeling» one before. Plus, what flood? None of the other adjacent shops seem to be affected.
Regardless, I won’t be back.

This place is terrible.
Wait service was awful.
Food was retchid.
Went for breakfast and after 25 minutes never even received our coffee. Menu was limited and waitress was completely clueless. At the end the of the meal I had to go get cash to pay for the poor excuse for food they called breakfast, because the credit machine was not working. The waitress said, «oh, our credit card machine isn’t working, I hope that’s not a problem, there’s an ATM next store.“After returning I had to argue with the waitress in front of the manager to remove the two coffees from our bill, even though she never brought them. Food is disgusting, tasted like microwave garbage from the frozen food section of your nearest Walmart.
This place does not deserve your appetite, your business, your money, or your time.

Not much to say here really, other than this place is a diner and I love diners. Remember the times when you could get bacon eggs and coffee for 2.99??? I was a bit disappointed when I paid nearly 10 bucks for bacon and scrambled eggs and a glass of OJ. Not only that the eggs were cut rate. No egg land’s best eggs here which is what I would expect at those prices.
All would say to the owner is buy some high quality ingredients. It will make a world of difference in your food and people like me will come back to your restaurant and be happy to pay 10 bucks for a decent tasting breakfast. It’s the difference between 3 stars and 5 in my opinion.

A great spot for Sunday brunch. Been going here for years almost weekly.

Great new place for lunch. Good salads and great deli sandwiches. My friend had a great looking wrap. Very casual with no wait service. Just great food!
