Pak Mail

All sorts of problems arose after my elderly parent’s death. Rene and Guiseppe took care of one of them with great skill and no fuss. The problem: how to get some valued art, mid-​century modern furniture and several brimming cardboard boxes from Boca to Los Angles without overpaying and without having to do things I’m not good at, like wrapping and shlepping.
They came to the house, eyeballed the stuff and made a spot-​on estimate, then came back and took it away. When everything arrived in Cali I found myself raving at the intelligence, efficiency and security of the packing. If packing and shipping were in the Olympics they would win gold in every category.
I know it may sound as if I’m getting something for this review. Nah. I’m just a good writer who wanted to share an unusually good experience.

Julia was very nice and accommodating. My package was handled quickly and efficiently. I use this Pak Mail all the time for my shipping needs. I would definitely recommend this particular store for anyone who needs mail and parcel services.

I purchased a small but pricey item from a government agency in Ft Lauderdale. The agency sent along a list of shippers that might pick up and mail the item for me. The major one on the list informed that they don’t pick up and they certainly don’t wrap. No 2 on the list was Pak Mail. I emailed and asked if they could pick up, wrap and ship these items to California. The owner responded that yes they do it all. I called Guiseppe and gave him the particulars. He dispatched someone the next day to pick up the items. Then he wrapped and sent me a pic to show the care taken in ensuring the electronics were safe. The parcel was shipped Fedex Ground. It arrived in 4 business days. The wrapping was amazing-​it would have survived a train wreck! The items were in perfect condition and well worth the more-​than-​reasonable cost!!! This place is a treasure. I would buy something from Ft Lauderdale again just to do business with this company! * one more star because 5 just doesn’t cut it! Thanks for your super service.

I had to ship something and the store had this young girl who did not know what she was doing. And was not helpful at all, because of that reason I may never return to this Pakmail. wasted my time and very inconvenient. I had to come back twice for a shipping label apparently it wasn’t right yet they didn’t do anything to help me! That girl was very rude and insolent. First time this store had ever done me wrong, but I will never come back unless it’s an emergency where no other packaging store is available.

I used this place to ship a birthday gift to my sister. The man behind the counter was not very helpful and, in fact, seemed bothered when I asked where to find the padded envelopes.
I wrapped the gift in the envelope, addressed it and took it to the counter. He charged me for the envelope and the shipping. I left and didn’t think much about the experience. But, a few days later when I talked to my sister, she said the post office left a note on her door that she needed to come pick up her package and pay for the shortage in postage. Not the way I wanted my sister to receive her birthday gift. She shouldn’t have had to pay to pick it up at the post office. It was apparent to me that the guy at this place didn’t charge the correct amount for the postage.
Since then I haven’t gone back. I ship UPS, FedEx or simply go to the post office. At least these places know how much postage is.

Great service, the guys there provided assistance with the kind of packages I was sending, (that arrived right on time). I really recommend this place ;)
