I’ve been going to this Supercuts for just about 11 years, since I moved to this part of town. I felt like I owed them a review since this morning was at another location in Aventura and instantly missed my Coconut Grove stylists. As with any salon, there are certain stylists that excel in certain types of cuts and while I have my favorites, everyone there knows how to give me a great haircut. Waiting times are never that bad and their estimated times are pretty accurate. The best part of comming here is the family like atmosphere it has for me. Seeing familiar faces, getting the hellos and the hugs is absolutely wonderful. Prices are set by corporate and I didn’t factor that into my rating. However I don’t mind paying a little extra for the wonderful service I get.

Service and staff are nice which is why I returned, but the price chart is a joke. In January I had a haircut(no treatments, or additions) at a different location -$ 46 including tip. I asked why isn’t the price from the chart, they said it is not the same quality of blow dry, this one is better(No problem!). I had the same service in this Coconut Grove location last July– $ 51 including tip, thus I went in today thinking the price would range around $ 45 – 50. I was charged $ 65 plus left a $ 5 tip. My hair is extremely thin which is something every stylist mentions, a bit wavy but not curly, medium lenght below the shoulders, not that long. I don’t even wear ponytails because it’s so thin and I don’t have that much hair. $ 70 for washing my hair, trimming and blow dry at a Supercuts?! Are you kidding me? I was charged $ 75 for a new style a year ago at a private/non-chain salon in Bay Harbor! What is the purpose of going to a chain like this if not to save a couple of $? I wrongly assumed it would be just like before. After she charged me, I asked her looking at the chart, why $ 65, she says«oh it says $ 40 and up and you know…», I replied, is my hair that long? She said«it is not the length, but the amount.» I can’t imagine how much they charge for someone with a real amount of hair. I asked for the receipt and the service listed doesn’t even match what I had done because it shows coloring and treatment(???), not haircut. She said she used those codes to save me some $ on the blow-dry. It’s a shame because the lady that did my hair was really nice, but there’s no point on going back to a chain salon to pay $ 70. My recommendation– agree on a price before sitting down.

$ 50 for a blow dry — are you nuts??? I thought Supercuts was supposed to give you value. I wish they would have told me before I waited. I walked out and went to Blo, which is CHEAPER and has a PRETTIER locale! I would have given them ZERO stars but this app does not allow it.

Go on Monday morning. Most hairdressers are closed then and it’s also nice and quiet at Supercuts. Luz gave me a nice haircut and I did not have the feeling I was at a large chain of salons.

Janice is great. Wonderful, careful, thoughtful, and quite beautiful. Unfortunately, not everyone there is Janice, and Janice does not work all the time. Hence, a bit hit or miss. Thank you Janice.

This is hit or miss. I have had great service but then I have also had the polar opposite. Guess you have to know what value of service you are paying for. Since it’s cheap compared to other hair cut places then I should know my service won’t be as consistent or as great as other places. If you’re in a hurry and don’t want to make an appointment then this works well.

My hair is at the point where a barber can only do so much. The barbers that I frequent are the best at using the clippers but usually lack scissor skills. This is where the nice hair stylist from Supercuts comes in. They have always done a sold job whenever I have used one of their locations and this one was no different. My hair stylist heard what I wanted and proceeded to give it to me. Now, I am less offensive looking than I used to be. Thanks, Supercuts!(Thumbs Up)

I paid 45 $ for a SIMPLEBLOWDRY !!! and it was a disaster, Too much product on my hair left it sticky and gross. The salon is dirty and VERY messy !!!

Look, I’m a guy. I don’t derive any pleasure at all from going to a hair salon; in fact, it’s only slightly less annoying than going to the dentist. I don’t need to go to the Todd Jameson Nue Studio or someplace equally effeminate and spend a bunch of money on my hair. Though perhaps I should, as writing a review for that place almost guarantees a Review of the Day, it seems! But I digress. This is what I look for in a scalp shop, and I doubt I’m alone: 1. Cheap 2. Quick 3. Professional Seeing as this location delivered on all counts, it might be my new Supercuts. Don’t know why I never tried this one before. It doesn’t seem brutally crowded on weekdays. All the stylists appeared to be competent and professional, and English was apparently the language of choice, which was nice(not always the case at other Supercuts, or heaven forbid, Hair Cuttery, locations around town). Payment was smooth and quick, unlike at other locations where they often stare at their POS terminal as if they’ve never seen one before. Seems to be a solid choice for a quick low-cost cut.

I’ve been going to Supercuts for many years; not this one specifically, but only recently this has become my new barber shop. I always do simple cuts and I don’t want to have a reservation /appointment. I’m a once a month to get haircuts, but sometimes I forget, this is convenient. Everyone is friendly and service is always quick. Bottom Line: I’m a die hard loyal fan!

Gone here a few times, and it really is the luck of the draw, even then the same person that gave you a great haircut last time wont do it again the second time. Being a guy its not that hard to cut our hair. Getting a fade is like the most basic thing a hair stylist learns but apparently some of them didnt learn it. I got the worst haircut after explicitly saying how long I wanted it to what part of my head and what NOT to do. The guy didn’t listen nor did I think he understood english. If they dont understand I would hope someone there would step in and translate or explain to him. Yea hair grows back but you gotta have that bad haircut for a few weeks which doesnt do any good if you work in a professional setting…

My first haircut in supercuts was last August. I had a horrible haircut(didn’t remember the guy’s name). However, I gave them another chance. I went back around October and because they have a random circulation, I got a different stylist. Her name is YADIRA, she was bubbly and I felt something that she’s a great stylist. She washed my hair and asked what style do I want. I’ve been living in Miami for 2 years and I haven’t found a detailed stylist like yadira. She listened everything I said and always did an excellent job, and we’re laughing at the same time because she has a nice sense of humor and bubbly. Since then I always get my haircut with her. I wasn’t the only one who’s a fan of her. On a busy day, she has the most customers with requests because they’re asking her upfront.

I had to get GQ’d before going to the Chophouse as a «+1» today, and was running late. Besides, this location was en route from Gables to Downtown. My haircut is «pelao a la malanga»(buzzcut). It’s low maintenance and Supercuts works. For $ 20 I got the cut, wash and a litle bit of gel. Yadira, my stylist, left it neat and was friendly but still allowed me to read and check my Blackberry :) She wasn’t overly pushy on selling the products. Of course, this might have been due to my low maintenance cut. Why did I take out 1 star? Well, the reading selection is skewed towards the fairer sex(Allure, Woman’s Health). I was fortunate to find one copy of Inc, magazine to read. It’s also uncomfortable to be writing the tip on your credit card receipt with the stylist looking over as you write. I’ll keep coming back though!

I don’t mind Supercuts so much because I’d rather be able to stop in as my schedule permits, rather than be locked down to a specific appointment time. That being said, the quality of the cut you receive depends on which«stylist» is available when your name is called. At this particular location I’ve never waited more than 10 or 15 minutes at most to receive a haircut, and in general I’ve had good experiences here. Both of the guys who work here do great work, and there’s a lady(usually the first chair on the left) who is VERY fast(5 minutes tops for a men’s cut) and also very good at what she does. There are a few other ladies here, however, who’s «work» has a lot to be desired, and it usually takes some extra trimming at home to get it to look right.

Supercuts is huge around Miami. Everyone and anyone gets their hair cut there. So of course, when I’m in South Florida… I do as the locals. Got a trendy trim on sale for like $ 16 by like a master stylist. Love the tackiness. The only reason I can get away with it is because I was raised there. This is true. And gracias again Juanito!
