Wakame Japanese Steakhouse

The restaurant started out a very welcome addition to the area. The food is mediocre at best. The service is very inconsistent. I really hate this is the case for the area. It could be a good place to dine if some major menu changes were made. I can’t recommend this restaurant.

This was Sunday after church and we have mixed reviews. The restaurant was very stylish and a great place for a date. My husband and I went in exptations of a reasonably priced meal with two plates and some to take home.
This was not our traditional restaurant experience. After we ordered our one plate of food which we shared. Was enough for two. Our food was back too us in Like under 5 mins. Of ordering it. That’s faster than fast food. We did not have time to finish our soup. Before our main dish came.
The good was beautifully arranged. The rice was yummy and the cut of beef was cooked superb. The zucchini and onion was over cooked and had no taste. We expected a authentic Japanese taste and got grill from home taste. That was disappointing. The zucchini we expected more. The shrimp was good and cook perfectly.
For the table you want to choose is ask for a booth, because it sits you upright perfectly for your meal.
The waitresses need to be more friendly.

This place is actually quite good. I was suprised with the taste and quality of food from this place. It’s alittle rough around the edges with the service. Once the order was placed the turn around time with receiving our order was quick. With that said, the place is new and nicely decorated and worth a try.
