Nice place, friendly staff, good white wines per my girlfriend’s flight, I had a cider that was good. Artichoke dip was ok. Live music was a nice touch. Overall a nice place.

Horrible dinner! Do not do the 50.00 per person meal for table. Not soup or salad, 1 steak for 4 people, not worth the 200.00 we spent just on dinner, drinks took forever and they weren’t busy! Used to be my favorite place.

Didn’t enjoy the food last time I was in. The sauce was bland. Drinks are spendy and nothing too special. The server was excellent though. She stayed right on top of things. Just wish they had stayed with their former menu.

I love love love their wine and always have since I moved here to Coeur d Alene. I love that they have a tasting room that you can enjoy a glass of wine and a yummy appetizer to pair with in a warm modern environment. The staff is friendly and well educated on the wines and what would be best for you based upon your taste style. It was nice just to stop in meet a friend after work have a nice glass of wine and be on our way. It is pretty quiet their in the winter and in the summer they have outside seating. I continue to try different wines they produce and truly have never had one I felt was terrible but my absolute favorite is opulence. I do miss their location downtown but this one is great also.

Nice little place we came for a painting class. They let the class meet here and of course they let you buy some wine also. I know nothing about wine but it was interesting to hear the owner talk about the grapes the processing and other stuff. Nice building and nice people. Anyway we had a very time time.

Nice place to visit. We were charged $ 5 per person to taste. The young lady in the sampling room was very nice and informative. We purchased one bottle of wine, I think the wine was pricey.

Stopped in last month with friends when we were visiting CDA. It was too hot to sit outside at the tables on the grass, so we enjoyed tasting in the small but charming tasting room where sales manager Christen did a great job of introducing us to Coeur d’Alene Cellars wines. Tastings are free with purchase and we purchased several bottles to add to our home cellar. The wine exceeded our expectations! Grapes come from several Washington state vineyards(including some in the Walla Walla area, Tri Cities and Yakima) and the wine is made and bottled at the CDA Cellars location. Some of the wines have been highly rated by national wine experts, like Wine Spectator, if that floats your boat for buying decisions. We particularly enjoyed the … …CDX Blend of Cab Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah grapes from a Horse Haven Hills vineyard. …old vines Syrah bottling called Envy. …the Mouvedre(78%) and Syarah(22%) blend labeled Mo. …fully stainless steel fermented, crisp Viogner called L’Artiste with the grapes sourced from four different vineyards. As for the labels, the artist affiliated with the winery who does the labels is a friend of the folks who run the endeavor. The labels are beautiful — from scenic renderings to pheasants to wine barrels and«frame worthy»…we think poster prints are available for that purpose for some of them. Very good wine, nice tasting setting, friendly people, great label art. What’s not to love? If you’re in CDA, go visit the winery. If you’re not, their wines are available to purchase via the web site and a few retailers.

It is once again open to the public on Wednesday through Saturday. I stopped by after walking around the outdoor downtown Farmers Market which is held almost outside their front door on Wednesdays. I was very impressed. The service was great. The interior is very inviting and a great place to sit back and relax with a glass of wine. I did not try any food off the menu but the choices I saw sounded very good and the apple, brie and honey(collected from the owners own bees) almost suck me in. The wine itself I liked very much. The grapes they use in their wine all come from the Walla Walla area, which in my opinion produces as good of wine as you will find anywhere. I was lucky enough to be sitting at the bar when one of the owners, Kimber, came in after putting in her time at the winery on the other side of town. She was pouring a few tasting to review the wines with 2 of the servers to help familiarize them with the wines currently available, and was kind enough to include me. The wines were simply fantastic and I even learned a thing or two as I listen to Kimber’s informative presentation. Definitely a place worth trying.

I know almost nothing about wine besides some tastes good to me and some doesn’t. What I do know is that for a very reasonable price you can share a bottle of wine, eat cheese, crackers, olives, pita & hummus & other tasty bites and enjoy friends & music. Oh, and they do have a nice selection of bottled micro brews as well.

Take just about any wine bar in SF take the prices down a few bucks per glass add a lot more interior space make the cheese plate big enough to be a meal for two by itself and make the staff unpretentious and friendly and put it in Coeur d’Alene, ID and you’ve got this place. Barrel Room #6 features wines from a local winery, mostly Syrahs and a few white blends. While I wasn’t completely floored by anything I tasted, everything was above average and it’s an enjoyable space to be in.

Even coming from the San Francisco Bay Area and having a broad knowledge of wine that comes from growing up in such close proximity to wine country, this is exactly what I want in a wine bar. This is sincerely my favorite wine bar outside of the SF Bay Area as of this writing. Warm, intimate, and inviting, this wine bar also manages to be spacious and comfortable. The high ceilings and large space are broken down into smaller seating and bar areas. The layout plus the dark walls and soft lighting help make the space cozy and romantic, even mid-day. We showed up in the middle of a snowstorm, which may explain why it was on the quiet side on a Saturday afternoon around 3 p.m. The wines are delicious and all are from the local Coeur D’Alene Cellars, whose grapes are sourced from neighboring Washington. These guys know Syrah. The Syrah flight we tried($ 9 for three 2-oz pours) was super yummy: especially the 2004 Syrah($ 9 a glass) and the 2004 Stillwater Creek Syrah($ 10.75 a glass). The Switchback Syrah($ 7.50 a glass) was tasty and a great value for the price. Matt’s Viognier(around $ 7 a glass) was out of this world and went perfectly with the cheese plate we shared. For $ 9, you get enough cheese to feed 4 people. It was a LOT of food for the two of us, but we managed… three sizable cuts of cheese(in our case Brie, Stilton, and a Smokey Mozzarella), a loaf of french bread, and ramekins of silky olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We also opted for the optional olives($ 2), which were no more than regular kalamatas. The bar staff were friendly and knowledgeable and the atmosphere is light and fun. We had a great time and will surely be back on our next visit.
