Very spontaneously opened the Unilocal app on my phone typing in nearby and taco’s. Wanted something authentic, not Franchise. So excited to find this little half circle of food trucks in Cda where Appleway turns into Best. Parked and walked over to the nicely painted trailer choosing from the menu, surprise, a Taco! Had a few minutes wait as they heated the shell and filled my Taco after the person ahead of me got their order. So if it was busy could be a bit of a wait. Very fresh, tasty ingredients at a great price. On Tuesdays they have street tacos for $ 1.00.

Omar makes some killer pork burritos. I love the Pico de Gallo and the green sauce. For heaven sakes folks it’s not a sit down restraunt. It’s 5.50 for a burrito, there’s not too many places you can get a good burrito for that much. If you want fast go to taco bell. If you want good food, good prices and some nice folks this is the place.

SERVICE: Standard, friendly. FOOD: Decent, but certainly not memorable. VALUE: Below Average. DECOR: Food truck with benches. Not exactly terrible, but this is mostly a takeout place if you ask me.

I wanted to love this place. But it’s overrated and overpriced. Tried the breakfast burrito with carne asada. Lacked flavor and distinction. Considering the ‘food truck’ location and lack of indoor seating(ate in my car), this place represents poor value.

The tacos are pretty good there and as a result we go back from time to time. But the service at this place is absolutely horrendous. There are the most surly individuals working at this place that every time I drive by I seriously consider burning the place down. but to be honest, the one girl that works there is fairly nice but the guys in the back seem fairly lazy. This place closes whenever they feel like it and they have no interest in serving people if it doesn’t meet their fancy. For people who have such disdain for the public, I’m not sure that they chose the right profession. One quick story about the place. The other day we ordered a tacos and they told us that it would be 20 minutes for some reason. We took our time getting over there and they called us seeming a little irritated at the fact that we hadn’t picked up our tacos already. You really can’t win with this place. If you show up in a normal amount of time, the food is not ready, and if you take your time, they complain about the fact that your food is just sitting there. How can there be so much variability in the time it takes to make tacos?

If this is the best… Not bad but not amazing. The street tacos were fantastic while the the masa on the tamales was dry and there was hardly any meat in them. Interestingly, they were smothered in a home made red enchilada sauce that wasn’t bad. Their green salsa is definitely better than the red.

Despite the fact that many people rave about this place, I really don’t understand what the hubbub is all about. The food is pretty average in my opinion. Also, your wait can be quite long to get your order filled, so it’s good to call ahead. Unfortunately, the best Mexican food in CDA is still found in my kitchen.

Not happy with them tonight. The refried beans were dry and yucky tasting, the rice was bland and I had a shredded pork chimichanga with rice added to it, I didn’t even finish a quarter of my meal. It turned me off. The guys took so long, and my food sat there on the counter for a couple minutes while they were getting others ready so it got a bit cold(because they told me would be ten minutes and it was more like twenty). Their were only a couple other people that came up before me and after me. They all looked impatient also. But I was polite and patient, even tipped 2dollars for a 14 dollar order. When I asked about getting extra sauces(the guy only gave me 2 to begin with) he was reluctant and gave me only two more. SONOTHAPPY

I gave Taco Works 1 star not because the food isn’t good but because of the service I received today. I only get a 30 minute lunch break and I went there to get some tacos. I waited for her to finish with the two people ahead of me and when it was my turn she told me I would have to wait 30 minutes to get two tacos because of a large order ahead of me. At this point I have only 15 mins left of my break to drive some where else, eat and get back to work. I’m not happy and I’m not sure I will go back there because of that. What ever happen to good customer service these days? Here in the North West either the food stinks or the service stinks!

Worst steak burrito ever! Very dissatisfied. I was recommended this place too. There was more cheese, beans and pico then steak. Ripoff!

Not sure if there are 2 trucks and I went to the wrong one, but way over rated. The tacos should be 99cents tops, I had never seen such small street tacos. Flavor was at best, so so. I felt like I was asking a huge favor to get more than one hot sauce, which was the only flavor my taco had. CDA, we can do better!

Coming from Southern California and having lived in Mexico for a while, I can legitimately say this place makes the BEST authentic Mexican food north of the border. My boyfriend and I come all the time and sit in their nice covered outdoor seating area. We traditionally order the soft carnitas tacos(mouth watering good) but I recently tried the carne asada and was extremely impressed. If I could eat there every day and not grow into a whale, I would ;) GOTOTACOWORKS! You won’t be disappointed

I have only tried the carne asada burrito here, but it is excellent. Awesome flavor and good price. This is now my go to quick Mexican place in CDA.

This is by far, my FAVORITE Mexican joint in the area. I have family in town so before I even get to their house, I’m off the highway and ordering a crispy beef taco. These are the real deal! Everything is made on site and the tortillas are fried and made to order in this place! Under $ 2 for a taco, I can’t go wrong. The shell is a nice crispy crunch followed by a bit of softness, a little pull. This sgows me, handmade shell. Aint nobody got time fir thar boxed crap. The beef is high quality and not gamey or fake tasting. Almost like a pot roast, as far as how flakey and devine the taste. Soft, tender pcs of meat that just melts in my mouth. The lettuce is enough to fill that shell and hold the tomatoes and cheese upright. They don’t skip on the fillins’ and I love them for it! Definitely get the sauces. The green sauce is so delicious I want to buy it in bulk, and the red is just as satisfying. You may or may not see me licking the inside of the cups or lids. You will. You will see me doing that. My morning breakfast burrito was just as amazing and filled me up till I got to Richmond for sure! Filled with tasty scrambled eggs, sausage, onion, pico and the sweet, yet hot green sauce. It was a great value at $ 6 and kept great on my roadtrip back to Portland. The tacos lasted about 3 hours before getting soggy on me, but the flavors and taste were STILL there! :) I just can’t speak highly enough of this truck! Its amazing and I have loved everything I have tried so far. Next time, its enchiladas! :)

Seriously good taco wagon! I first ate at this place in the summer of 2007. I don’t know how long they have been here but it’s just as good now as it was then. People who know how to cook, making REALGOOD food. Simple, fresh cilantro and onions on perfectly seasoned meats! Great salsa verde! Tortillas and shells are perfect. Side of lime! You can’t go wrong with any of the items on the menu. I like the soft tacos with steak, pork, or shredded beef, but ALL of the food here is VERY good! Try 3 different things every time you go and I’m sure you’ll enjoy them. I really enjoy this place and hope they are here forever!

Some friends told us about this place, ans we have been addicted ever since. My favorite is the Super Taco. I’m sensitive to spiciness, but LOVE the flavors, so I get mine without the hot sauce. It’s amazing!!!

Taco Works, I don’t know if I want to see you again. Well, I finally made it here a few weeks ago. I’ve been looking forward to this place for a long time after seeing all the rave reviews, along with a few friends telling me that this place was«good.» I figured I better make the trek here before I’m shunned from the taco eating community. Upon arriving my coworker and I noticed that this area was hopping between this place and the sandwich shack across the lot. So it has to be good, right? The Order: I placed an order for a chicken burrito, the friendly guy asked if i wanted pico de gallo and spicy salsa in it…“of course” I replied. I paid the good man then my coworker ordered the steak for the soft combo plate. A few minutes, and I only mean 3 – 4 minutes later, our order was ready. Since it was bitter cold, we headed back for the office. The Grub: I quickly unwrapped the burrito and cut it in half to see all the tastiness inside and once I looked inside, my heart sank. It was all different shades of brown. Where’s the pico? Where’s this spicy salsa that he spoke of? The closest thing to a vegetable was two small pieces of onion that I found. I brushed this aside and dug in. Well that’s interesting… all dark meat in a burrito, don’t think I’ve experienced that before. As I took the second bite, I noticed that if I ate half of the burrito, I would be fulfilling my sodium intake for the next week. Unfortunately, between the dark meat, no veggies and enough sodium to make me want to chug a gallon of water, I threw over half of the burrito away. It was a very sad day folks… very sad indeed. As for my coworker, he didn’t seem overly impressed. The tacos were some of the tiniest tacos we’ve ever seen. He made the remark that if we decided to go there again, he would definitely get something different. At this point, Taco Works, I won’t be seeing you anytime soon.
