Not sure where the good reviews are coming from. Waitress is either new or totally brain-dead. Maybe I ordered the wrong stuff; like a chicken caesar salad that they come out with and announce they have no caesar dressing. REALLY!!! You go to the trouble of making the salad knowing you don’t have the dressing as opposed to coming out and letting me choose something else. Wife’s philly was MEH. I would up ordering a patty melt, it was cooked OK, but really lacked any decent flavor and was served on that half-assed marble rye instead of good NY deli rye. I realize that Coffeeville isn’t NYC, but this might have been the day for McD’s for a lot less. Find another place in town.

Some of the food was good, some mediocre. The grilled cheese BLT is quite oversold on the menu… service was quite slow, with some forgotten items… I’d get take out from here, but probably wouldn’t dine in again.

Seven of us stopped in for lunch coming back to KC from Tulsa. It’s home cooking as you will only find in rural Kansas. If you find yourself in Coffeeville, stop in. The burgers are huge, the BBQ delicious and the queso may truly be the best in the world.

I try and eat low carb when i am on the road and its tough. I had pulled pork, fresh grilled mushrooms and side salad. As good as it gets! My new favorite in coffeyville

Mid day around 3:22 is when this native Texas couple arrived. Old town atmosphere inside and out. Yes, we will seat ourself. Prompt service even though there were 10 people total in the restaurant. The restroom was not marked at all, but found them by asking. BEWARE, if you have a good buzz going on the trip to the bathroom may end up as a fall. Massive incline alert should be displayed. We asked for the local ’ s favorite. My wife received the pulled pork and got the chicken fried steak. The pulled pork sandwich was very tasty and not dry. The sauce had a unique taste to its self. When the chicken fried steak came out, the first thing on my mind was«Where’s the beef»?. Of course I had to kick it up a notch and request my smuthered and covered, gravy sautéed onions and melted cheese over the steak and fries. The steak was crispy and thick. Unfortunately I would have asked for more. Service was ok. I asked for a tshirt and it took a couple of times to get it. By the way, I looked at the check and they charged me for the gravy… Something that normally comes with chicken fried steak. Would I eat here again… eee. maybe. I’m glad you read the review. Enjoy your eating where ever it takes you.

Food just okay but had a very good Mojito with a kick, very pleasant staff and interesting location with atmosphere and even live music on a week night. Will definitely go back if I get to town.

Went in last night while working in the area. I had all you can eat tacos. As far as the food goes it was very good. They had a firecracker shrimp taco that I enjoyed a lot. Problem was it took about 45 – 60 minutes to get our food. When we order another few tacos it was an additional 20 minutes. I would go again to see if maybe they were just short handed. If it happens again I would drop my review even farther.

Very broad selection of food that is prepared well and served well. Friendly waitstaff, and homemade desserts. What’s not to like? Oh, and really good drink specials!

Decent food in this part of Kansas is next to impossible unless you’re visiting your own grandmother. Today, I had a severely overcooked pork chop, flavorless(boiled!) baby carrots, and an edible rice pilaf. At least they have Boulevard Wheat beer as a «draw on tap» for $ 2.50 per mug. Service is okay, although not what you’d call pleasant. Regardless, you probably won’t find much better in Coffeyville unless you want your food served in a paper bag.

Sat at the bar, Shelby kept me company. Sweet girl. Ordered the BBQ nachos; white corn chips, topped with BBQ pulled pork, queso sauce, onion strings, jalapeños, sour cream. They’re delicious! Wanted to try the peanut butter pie, but passed on it this time. Might come back, if I’m in Coffeyville again.

Friendly, efficient staff, great drinks and prices. The sandwiches we had were delicious, we had grilled onions as a side, a generous portion and melt in our mouth. We look forward to going again and trying other menu items. A good find in Coffeyville.

Here is the thing… The food is pretty good. Chicken fried steak. great… hamburgers very good. Fries eh. not great… You really cant go wrong with most of the food here… the down fall of this place is the wait staff. So rude, I have met and known the owners of this place and they are the greatest. So nice, They need to kick all of the wait staff out and start over… So food good… service bad.

This place is great. I ate lunch there 3 times. I had a great Cobb Salad twice. It’s huge with tasty grilled chicken. The best was I had the fried chicken lunch special. It was fantastic. Not greasy with mashed potatoes and gravy and mac and cheese. It was huge — I took ½ of it home. It was only $ 4.80!!. Free refills on soda, tea. Super friendly waitress. Diner atmosphere, no frills. A nice slice of small town America.
