Sirloin Stockade

Really good all around. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was really good. Chicken was moist, salad bar had good options, bread was so soft! It is a smaller buffet but had plenty of variety and was well stocked.

Must say after reading the one negative comment I was a little apprehensive. But ventured in to check it out. A busy Sat nite with a lot of locals. Considered that as a good sign. The price seemed reasonable especially for me with the senior rate for the buffet only, so why not give it a try. Salad bar was extensive and well tended. Tried most of meat and vegetable selections and must say not bad. The pork ribs and roast beef were both surprisingly tender and had very good flavor. Had to get seconds on both. Fried chicken was ok. The veggies were basic, but especially liked the cabbage — little different recipe than usual with nice flavor. Not a dessert person, but thought I should try something, so gave the bread pudding and vanilla soft serve a taste. Good flavor on the bread pudding and nice creamy type soft serve. For the price I have to give this place 4 stars. And yes, service was great — very friendly and attentive wait staff. Sorry I can’t give an opinion on the steaks or entrees. Generally I’d say this place gives you decent value for the price.
