Crabbie’s Restaurant

If I could give lower than a one I would. Silverware was dirty. The iced tea put had not been cleaned in a long time. The tea had a musty taste so changed to coke. this is when it got bad. Imagine my surprise when I finished my drink and looked into the ice to see ants crawling up my straw. That was it I was done. Vomited everywhere. The waitress did comp us the meal and then actually said next time I will take better care of you. Lol honey there will never ever be a next time.

The ownership has changed at Crabbies. Unfortunately the only good thing that remains is the beautiful view of the sound. My husband ordered crab soup and it was awful. Tasted like it was straight from a can. I got a ceasar salad, which was brown and wilted. With a side of fried oysters that were mostly breading and had an unusual taste to them and not in a good way. I only ate one. We shared a piece of snickers cheese cake. How can you mess up cheese cake? Well you can. It was totally bland. Then we over heard the waitress say her dad had taken over as owner and he previously ran Golden Corral in Elizabeth City!!! BARF!!! I almost tossed my cookies after hearing that.

Really loved this cute little restaurant on the water. Fiod was tasty and service was excellente. Crabcakes and hush puppies were my favorite part! Good place for kids, even had fun feeding the ducks afterwards.

Great spot on the ICW– our group’s favorites were the homemade hush puppies, fried scallops and stuffed flounder with Key West spice. The Old Bay spiced flounder wasn’t a crowd pleaser, but not bad. Cool owners and nice vibe.

My husband and I wanted to come by Crabbie’s to see what it was all about for my birthday. We called ahead to check hours and the answering machine said they would be open at 5pm. We showed up at 5:30 and no one was there. How hard is it to change the message on your answering machine? I will NOT be returning.

Exceeded expectations for such an out of the way location! Enjoyed the ICW pasta and chocolate cake. Great marks for taste, fresh ingredients and presentation.

Awesome location, right on the water, a bit off the beaten path but there are signs to guide you all the way. Good food, nice atmosphere. We shared lunch baskets with broiled scallops, fried shrimp and oysters which were all good – the scallops were definitely my favorite, though!

A co-​worker and I stopped in after work one day. He said the philly cheese steak was excellent. I enjoyed the crab cake burger myself. Certainly worth stopping in and grabbing some grub!

I don’t quite know where to start with this first class establishment. The grounds are manicured. There is a swimming pool. Everyone was just super nice! Capt. Terry built the place 20 years ago. Crabby’s was built 5 years ago. The gentleman who caught our lines was a boater. For me that’s huge as he knew to catch the spring first. 30 and 50 amp is available. I checked in at the marina store and the prices are low. I bought the mate a beer that was ice cold for $ 1.65. Off to dinner. Cindy was our server and was right top of things! Super nice as well. The meal was fantastic and just what we needed after a long day on the water. It was truely a privledge to stay here. The only disappointment is I won’t be back till the fall. Well Capt. Terry you did it you have a loyal costumer for life! All the best.
