My wife and I stopped here on the way to a game in Hartford and this place blew away my expectations! Thought it was going to be a dive bar but it was much better than your average bar fare. We just had some burgers but they were real organic burgers sourced locally and the fries were one of a kind. More like a potato split into quarters and baked. I know I don’t make it sound appealing but it is. I recommend the sweet potato fries they are worth the trip. The real cherry on top for this place was he staff. Sometimes when you walk into a local pub as an outsider it can be uncomfortable but everyone did a great job making us feel right at home. I would definitely stop here again next time I’m in the area!

Went there on a Sunday night and got the last table. I ordered the muscles appetizer, but alas, the table next me me got the last order. I settled on fried pickles and was not disappointed. Service was fast and friendly, décor is kind of cool, and restaurant is not too noisy. I enjoyed the corned beef and cabbage and kids had burgers. I guess the one thing I’d consider adding to the menu is a fish entrée other than fish and chips. Salmon would be nice. It’s nice to see a restaurant so busy in Colchester that doesn’t serve chinese or pizza.

I liked this place! I am going to be honest saw it on Buzzfeed and was intrigued. Went there on a Thursday and it was very busy. It’s an Irish pub and lately any Irish pub I go into is less than desirable, but they keep it clean and fresh and that’s a good thing. Service was great too. The entire menu looks amazing. We got the Reuben and ham and cheese sandwich. We were not disappointed. potato wedges we’re delicious with just the right amount of coarse salt. Seating is scarce and the bar top is small, maybe as they grow that will too. I prefer a larger bar top, but that’s just me. Excited to return to check out the rest of the menu!

I live down the road and have been a regular ever since they opened. The boyfriend and I come here every time I don’t feel like cooking. I cannot tell you how many times I’ve eaten here. Seriously, probably 6 times a month since they’ve opened. I had a problem with the food one time since they opened, and Alex did more than what was fair to make up for it. So impressive. Besides the one time(and everybody gets one). I’ve never been disappointed in theirfood Draft and whiskey list is stellar, too. Keep up the momentum guys. Taking over the town of Colchester in year number 1

Floor plan is perfect. The bar and dining room are in one open concept but feel separate. If you are a bar/pub fan you’ll love it… if you’re a dining room fan, you’ll love it

Colchester is a bit of a drive for me(there is really no direct way to get there from Wallingford, sadly) so yesterday was one of the only times I can remember making my way out there. I went for an event, the CT Girl’s Pint Out trivia night at the Inishmor Pub. I was able to easily locate the pub, although the parking situation was a head-scratcher at first. I walked in and was greeted by someone who turned out to be the trivia host, and a waitress. I sat at the bar for a drink, waiting for the event to be set up, and had to wait a little while as the bartender was chatting with some other patrons at the far end of the bar. I got my pint of Magners($ 5, which is a good price) and found a table. The waitstaff handled the group pretty well, although I feel they could have been a little more attentive(asking to fill our waters or get us fresh beer but then not returning for a significant period of time). I ordered the BLT and brought half of it home — it was very good and pretty big. The steak fries were fantastic. I don’t know if I’ll return to the Inishmor due to the distance, but if I find myself in Colchester again, this is a place I would love to visit again.

I’m another 4 ½ star review. Maybe I’ll go full five after a couple more visits. I really enjoyed this place. Being a guy whose surname begins with Mc, I felt right at home. This is a great little Irish pub. It deserves five stars for the beer selection alone, but then again, it IS an Irish pub. Our service wasn’t perfect, but the couple of minor missteps were immediately acknowledged with apologies, humor and charm. Yeah, so you forgot to bring me my check, but you were pleasant about it and didn’t try to ignore the mistake. Kudos. The atmosphere is, well… an Irish pub! Dark walls and decorative scheme, but big windows along the sidewalk mitigate the claustrophobic tendencies of such places. It’s not as big as I expected, but it was certainly big enough. Small bar spaces surround part of the room adding to the pub atmosphere. The menu I found to be a bit limited, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It means the kitchen is able to focus on items they do well, and food comes out quickly as a result. An overhead chalkboard indicates various promotions, and the locations of the various local farms which supply the meats and produce. What the menu lacked in overall selection is made up with unique offerings and ample portions. As others have noted, the Curry Fries are an unexpected treat. Go ahead and order them as an app if you’re not getting a burger, as few of the menu items come with even regular fries. That’s all right by me, though, as starch is amply represented on the menu. The burgers, by the way, are massive. Six or eight speciality burgers are available, along with a reminder that you can always just order a «regular» hamburger. The menu is rounded out with a selection of interesting apps, a few mostly-standard salads, and a list of daily specials. As for our recent meal, I went out of my comfort zone and into the comfort food zone and ordered the Mac & Cheese — with buffalo chicken! I was prepared to write it off, but wow! It was really quite good, although the Ritz cracker crumb crust featured several almost-whole crackers. Hey, that almost made it better in my book. My wife ordered the Skillet Shepard’s Pie, made with ground lamb and a big mound of mashed potatoes on top. It was quite good, and more than she could possibly eat in one sitting, especially after the Curry Fries. Overall, this is a very cool little place with a great neighborhood vibe and super friendly service. Live music on Fridays(give or take a Friday, as noted on the chalkboard), plus other event nights which give you an added excuse to hang around the pub with the boys. Or girls. I’ll be back!

In my opinion, the best place in town for an all around night out experience. From drinks at the bar t authentic and unique Irish food, this place accomplishes all. The Inishmor is located in a building that no one has survived in, yet I believe these guys have a chance. Prices are average. The beer and whiskey selections are better than any bar for 100 miles. The owner is a down to earth guy who you will find hard at work just about any time the bar is open. From in the kitchen to behind the bar, delivering the food or on his computer preparing the next big thing for alcohol consumption, this guy really knows what it is to lead. Tuesday night is trivia night and if you show up on Friday, you’ll be amazed by the live music and ability to text song request. Just an all around great bar in Colchester.

Good place to grab a beer and some pub food. Had the curry fries and corned beef with cabbage, carrots, and potatoes. Not sure what I was expecting but the curry fries just didn’t do it for me. The corned beef on the other hand was very good. The meat was very tender and had enough to bring home for another meal Plenty of parking, in the front, side, and back

The Inishmor Pub — A nice break from the pizza and Chinese food that Colchester has become accustomed to. Staff was courteous, yet persistent. A wide variety of alcohol was available, a nice perk for the 21+ crowd. I had the fried pickles as an appetizer. I was given slices of fried pickles, rather than spears, like I anticipated. I ordered the«Black and Bleu» burger(beef, sautéed onions, Bleu cheese, and bacon). Very good. The French fries left to be desired with lots of sea salt already put on them. However, they were home made, a pleasant surprise. In terms of environment, it’s like stepping into Baltimore from the rural streets of Colchester. A nice change of pace.

The food was wonderful. Staff was very friendly as well, and a very clean place. I had a slight issue with some beer tasting off, and the owner personally got in touch with me to resolve the matter, which in my terms, is superior customer service.(I am a HUGE craft beer enthusiast) I will be back again to support this small local business.
