This is our second time here. We came back because the owner was really kind
But the room we were given was the worst place we have ever stayed in.
Words cannot describe this place.
There are more code violations here !! This «Hotel» would fail an inspection.
If they bothered to inspect it.
The room is dusty, moldy and my husband killed a tick. They called it a two bedroom-​putting ½ a curtain between two spaces does not constitute a room-​especially when you cannot stand in the «pretend room»
… I won’t even bother describing the actual room.
I honestly don’t like to leave bad reviews, but I feel I owe it to other people. Stay away from this place.

I can’t say enough good things about the Starlight Inn. Upon check-​in I discovered that my credit card had been blocked (for suspicious activity). The owner said he’d hold my room while I called to straighten things out. I ended up having to call Bank America twice for a total of 45 minutes before my card was unblocked. The owner held my room for me despite there being 2 other calls to rent the room. Once in the room I was very satisfied. It was spotless. There was a bathroom with a tub shower, toilet and counter with a sink. Just outside the bathroom was another counter with a sink, microwave and coffee maker. Below the counter was a small refrigerator. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. I slept like a rock! When I was leaving one of the cleaning staff asked me if everything was okay with my stay. I didn’t want to leave!

Our goal for today was to visit Vermont Teddy Bear. With that in mind, we searched for a random place to stay yesterday. It took all of five minutes to find and book this place. Super cheap and stellar reviews so we gave it a shot. Very impressed with the whole experience.
I love that it was movie themed. John Wayne room baby! Inside was spotless. No stains or suspicious hairs to be found. The bed was a little uncomfortable for me but I liked the size (king).
Got to see free movies at the drive-​in next door which was awesome. Tickets are included if you stay. I enjoyed Batman vs. Superman!
A must stay if in the area! I’d go back!

I started this review last year after we stayed here but I forgot to publish it! I was really impressed with this place. We decided to stay last year because it was snowing back home and we didn’t want to drive. I wasn’t expecting much because the price of the room. We were pleasantly surprised at how spacious and clean it was. It’s a short drive to Burlington and has a diner across the street. I wish we stayed in the summer so we could make use of the drive-​in. We are coming up tomorrow to stay and are very excited.

Great place to stay! We recently stayed in the «John Wayne» room… very clean, comfortable king bed, and almost new facility! I would highly recommend it to any traveler!

Stayed 4 nights at the Starlight and it was perfect in every way. My stay started with a midnight check-​in due to flight delays, but this was no problem for the owner — I was so grateful! The room was very comfortable, clean, new everything, and very comfy bed — I stayed in the Marilyn Monroe room. It was also very quiet! For an average of $ 100 a night and a short drive to downtown Burlington, the Starlight was a steal. Wish every hotel on my trip was this awesome!

A little off the beaten path, but worth it! This is probably one of the best tiny old-​style motels I’ve been in!
Everything seems almost brand new, the rooms were gorgeous (and movie star themed), the WiFi was reasonably reliable, the staff was great, and the beds were insanely luxurious.
The free drive-​in pass (I think it’s the same owner) was a nice bonus, too!

Me and my boyfriend came for a tournament he was coaching. The owners are very friendly. The room we stayed in was super clean, a really nice size and had a extremely comfortable king bed one of the best hotel beds I’ve slept on! The room is really unique with a nice sized tub and a microwave fridge and coffee maker, also a good sized flatscreen tv, and the drive ins just tops it off, anyone staying at the inn can get in free with their receipt. I would recommend this 100% love this place!

My boyfriend and I usually stick to super cheap motels, and as such, we’re usually stuck with some pretty gross places.
THIS PLACE WAS AMAZING. And while still being affordable!
Sparkling clean, for one thing. Brand new everything (I think it’s only been open for a year or so), and quirky, themed rooms. AND a drive-​in you can see from your window! Seriously, putting a hotel next to a drive-​in is pure genius.
This is my favorite hotel and I will stay here exclusively when I am in Vermont from now on! Now can everyone stop talking about it please, so we can keep it our own hidden treasure? Thanks!

What a great find. Family owned 11 unit Inn next to the family own drive in. Just renovated in 2014. Clean and had everything you needed Mini Fridge, Coffee pot and microwave. Had a sink outside next to the microwave as well as in the bathroom. They have free wifi and large LG flat screen TV mounted on the wall. It is near a great little dinner and there is other restaurants close by. Have already booked again for future travels to bring my children back to college at ST. MIKE“S. Only 15 minutes from the college. I hope they will do well and stay in business for a very long time. Not often are there family owned Inns left… this one is a treasure!

The rooms here were wonderful and the staff was incredibly friendly. I have rarely been happier with a motel stay. We stayed in the «Martin and Lewis» and lounged in bed throughout our visit watching movies on the awesomely placed TV.
The location is fantastic as well, very close (walking distance) to restaurants, small-​town pubs, and necessities (grocery, Rite-​Aid, the local diner, etc.) I could easily make staying at the Starlight a regular mini-​vacation thing – I want to go back in the summer and check out the drive-​in. I’ll definitely be returning.

Amazing!!! Stayed in the VIP suite for our wedding anniversary. The bed was perfect and the jacuzzi tub was SPECTACULAR! Very relaxing. They really made us feel like VIPs

Clean, cute and new. Nice beds, linens. Such a nice little spot. Each room is decorated for a different movie star as the owner also owns the 4 screen drive-​in theater next door. In season free passes to the theater or watch from your room with sound available thru FM stations

We stayed at the Starlight Inn and had a wonderful room! The owners are very nice, the property spotless, the bed comfortable, and despite being off a major road, quiet! And we got to enjoy a free drive in movie! One of the nicest stays we have had period! Can’t wait to come back. Thanks!

GREAT spot! Clean, quiet, comfortable… And adorable! Stayed on a Sunday night when the have the drive in next door running – sound is free in the rooms: D Amazing owners – incredibly friendly and kind. I got lost after missing my ferry to Burlington, so the wonderful women at the front desk helped me figure out how to catch another ferry and then had her husband stay and help us with our room. He even gave us local chocolate :) I would DEFINITELY recommend this spot to fellow travelers.

Being a social media geek, I did my research before heading out to Burlington. Saw all the awesome reviews and photos and even a TV news blurb about the hotel. I’m all about supporting local businesses and this is the perfect hotel to support.
It’s pretty new, it has all the bells, whistles and buzzers (no, seriously, it has a doorbell and a cool combination doorbell/​do not disturb outside light) How cool is that!!!
Tray ceilings with recessed lighting, new lamps that have plugs for your chargers/​cell phone. The colors are bright and refreshing.
We stayed in the Brad & Angelina room (double queen) comfy beds, big bathroom and mini fridge (with a cute ice tray), microwave and coffee maker = happy camper!
The drive-​in is pretty cool. We were here in the fall on a Monday, so no movies (only on the weekends) but they have a sign in the room which radio station to tune-​in on and you can listen to the movie in your room. Pretty cool.
We’ll definitely will stay here again and give 5 stars the whole way! Support a local business and help keep the dream alive on the drive-​in big screen.

Overall, this was a really nice and clean hotel. The room was immaculate and the bed extremely comfortable. Each room is ‘themed’ with movie stars (which means there are a few pictures on the walls) and I stayed in the Newman and Redford room. This ties in to the fact the family also owns the drive in movie theater right next to the hotel. My only negative, as almost everything was better than promised, is that the claim of sound proofing is greatly over rated. One night (of the 4 I spent there) there was a room party on one side of my wall and what I can only guess was a newly together couple to the other. I didn’t get to sleep until after 3am with all the screaming, door slamming and nocturnal activities. Bummer, as I used this as my base of operations for vacation and an entire day was impacted. I still give it four stars though, and I’d stay there again but don’t put any stock in the soundproofing claim. Otherwise, great place for the price.

I’m surprised no one has commented yet on this site. My fiancé and I rented the VIP suite, and it is just that. The bathroom is something fit for a king, you get your own bar and sink just in case you bring people along. I have trouble sleeping on most beds that are not my own, but the bed was amazing. My room came to around $ 190 for the night, this included our tickets to the drive in, so it was less than $ 175 for the room. You have to pay around $ 200 for this type of quality anywhere else around here. The owner outdid himself with this one.
