HAd dinner here tonight for the second time. The 1st time I was only partially satisfied. My fried chicken was deep fat fried and was way overcooked and dr5y. My wife never complains about her food: she had Flounder. Well, tonight I decided to try flounder and popcorn shrimp and, wow, what huge disappointment. Everything on the plate was 30 minutes from being fresh cooked. The closets thing to hot was one french fry. I noticed when leaving that there was a stainless steel container piled high with fries so apparently they cook for the customers coming in in 30 minutes or more. And they cooked my flounder and shrimp at least 30 minutes before we came in as it was rubbery and tasteless. There is nothing worse then close to luke warm seafood. My wife had an open face roast beef sandwich and I had a taste. These cooks must do everything they can to destroy normal food as the gravy had to of come from a jar: no. On the dark side, we will never eat dinner in this place again but on the bright side, the 2 times we have had breakfast there our meals were excellent. The food was freshly prepared and served piping hot and the prices are quite fair. The morning shift of cooks do a much better job then do the evening shift. Too bad as this place has the potential to draw from many different towns close by but at this rate I wonder if they will stay in business.

Processed, round shaped, formed turkey, frozen patty hamburger, instant mashed potatoes and gravy from a jar. If you’re feeding this type of food to your«family», you must not care for them very much.

I have always been a fan of Olympic, and I slightly favor this one over the one in Kernersville. The waitresses here are very friendly. The morning tends to have an older crowd, and the younger waitresses tend to work in the afternoon. I REALLY love the baked spaghetti at this location as they overload it with mozzarella cheese. It also comes with a salad, and bread. The service is great, and the waitresses are constantly filling up my beverage. The place is clean, and spacious so you don’t feel like you cramped up inside. They get your order out in a fast and friendly manner, and the food is reasonably priced. There seems like there is something for everyone to eat when you go there as the variety is very appealing to everyone of all ages. I usually go here on my way back fro Greensboro. If you go around 2−3pm, you should get in and out with no problem. If you go early for breakfast, or around dinnertime, good luck fighting that crowd!

Four stars because I’ve been many times and never disappointed. I nearly always have the fried flounder special on Fri and it is the best I’ve found. I often get it to go and it’s big enough to share. For 10 bucks that’s a bargain. The sandwiches I’ve had are great and large servings. Service is always fast and friendly. The owners are Greek but the menu and setting is just plain old country folks. nothing fancy. Sweet tea and good regular food. Bring your grandparents, they’ll like it.

A neighbor of ours has been talking about this place for a while so we went with her. First off, clientele is a tad older than myself; we were the only ones with hair that wasn’t colored to be something other than white. Honestly, I get it. They cook to their clientele. This means everything was mushy and under-seasoned. I had the Philly Cheesesteak with fries. Of course I had to try the Mac and cheese too. The steak was over cooked and bland. The onions were cooked decently enough and there was a nice balance of cheese to steak. The fires were okay but a little soggy and again lacked in seasoning. The Mac and cheese was uneatable. It was very very processed, slimy, and cold. Tried the fried squash of my guest as well. The crust was soft which made the middle mushy. I will say the place was clean and the service was nice. I just can’t give this place more than one star. Although when granny and pappy come into town, you keep this place in mind.

Pretty good meal, nothing fancy and for reasonable price. Good for breakfast.

I’ve been here a few times for breakfast, and always had a pretty good meal. The food is not fancy at all, but the breakfast food I’ve had there is inexpensive, well made, and served quickly. The restaurant has clearly been built very recently, and is clean with plenty of space to sit. As a good, clean, inexpensive breakfast spot, I definitely recommend it.

We were recommended to come try this«Greek» place while we were in town. I was very excited about having some hummus, falafel, etc — thinking those things would be included in the menu. Well this place wouldn’t necessarily categorize as Greek in my books. They have several salad, sandwich, meat and two, entrée options — of which Greek salad and gyros were listed. No hummus to be found. I ended up getting the marinated chicken sandwich because the waitress said it was a popular item. It wasn’t terrible but it was nothing to write home about. I ended up just eating the chicken and not the bread. It wasn’t bad at all for the price($ 4) but I don’t think I would ever go back. My friend got the Greek salad which was all shredded iceberg lettuce. It is definitely disappointing to me when I don’t see some darker greens on the plate for salads. Not a bad place to go if you are short on time and need something quickly but I doubt I’ll be back. There are some fast good restaurants that make similar or even better chicken sandwiches! Other than the food — the service was great and everyone was super friendly!

Wow, what a disappointment. Someone has spent money making these places look good but the food… Tasteless, uninspired, unfresh rubbish… Seriously, if you’re going to make food, at least put some effort into it and do it well. We had Open Faced Roast Beef which sounded like a speciality and a Philly Steak Sub. Yuk. The sliced beef had a green sheen to it. Was covered in a luke warm thick gravy and a slice of white bread was hidden underneath. The side of fries was also only warm. As for the sub, the beef was shredded and had a slight spice to it but no discernible beef flavor. The cheese had already cooled and the grease had made the lower bread bun wet and slimey. Shockingly, the lettuce was the freshest ingredient. The fries were only warm. All in all, we left feeling queasy and 20 bucks lighter. Hate to say it but Denny’s is 10 times better in both price, service and most importantly, TASTE. Note to owners: please taste your menu yourselves or at least go and try the competition to compare.

This restaurant can be best summed up this way; «if the minimum weren’t good enough then it wouldn’t be the minimum.» Standard fare served in clean surroundings. If you truly don’t want to cook for yourself and you happen to be in the neighborhood than ok. If you’re willing to drive a couple miles or want something better than what you can make then keep on driving…

This is the second location for this diner, the original one is on Mountain Street in Kernersville — both are almost shiney new — no worn or torn mom&pop look here This is another of the excellent Greek owned restaurants in the Winston Salem/Kernersville area. They serve all three meals here and do a good job on each. The breakfast plates are varied, nicely portioned, and reasonably priced. Lunch and dinner items are very numerous — from salads, sandwiches(including Kosher Deluxe like Salami & Pastrami) subs, open faced roast beef, burgers, fish, steak, and more. They have different daily meat and 2 plates, that include: CS Steak, Baked Chicken, Hanburger Steak, Popcorn Shrimp, Spaghetti, Chicken Pot Pie, Flounder, Meatloaf, and Baked Lasagna. They offer other Italian dishes, steaks, seafood specialsand a nice array of vegetables. They do not, for some reason, offer a hot dog. They have a Senior Citizen Menu of about 9 or 10 items that are a $ 1 or $ 2 less than their regular price — most plates or in the $ 6 to $ 9 range. This place offers something for everyone, and the service is usually good, though peaks and weekends can be very crowded. I’ve eaten here often for breakfast and lunch, and have never had a bad meal.
