Our first purchase from Cupcake LaRue was for our wedding in May 2014. We sampled several cupcakes but fell for the banana foster cupcakes. We also made a special request for dulce de leche which is a typical flavor in Spanish cuisine. Megan, the owner of Cupcake LaRue, experimented with several recipes but when she finally gave us a taste test, my wife and I were blown away. We received so many compliments from both sides of our families. The food and photography were our biggest concerns for our wedding and Cupcake LaRue really delivered. Unfortunately the wedding cake and cupcakes were so delicious that we didn’t have any left over for our one year anniversary. My wife was really upset about this so a few months ago I contacted Megan and asked her for two dozen cupcakes with the same flavors from our wedding. Today, I gave them to my wife as one of her Christmas presents and she was delighted.(Yes we have to celebrate early due to working in retail. haha) Two of each flavor are already sitting in our freezer waiting for May to come around.
