I don’t think I’ll be ever returning to Denny’s especially not this one. I ordered the all America slam and it was horrible. My sausage links came back half cooked and my French toast was just thick white bread with butter on top of it. The waitress substituted my sausage for bacon and it was like paper. I was so annoyed with my meal. And the service was okay. Nothing to brag about either.

If I had an option of giving 0 stars I would. Terrible, slow and so rude! We went the day after Christmas and as expected there was a large crowd. Upon entering there was an unorganized crowd and an employee at the register and the manager on the side standing around while over a dozen customers were waiting to be seated. There was no sense of structure. We stood around for 15 minutes waiting to be recognized and later found out we were in the wrong section to be seated. Once my date approached the manager asking to be seated the manager snapped and said«no one told you to stand in the back!» He went back and forth about how it was our fault for not figuring out where the check in was. Ridiculous!!! The manager was just standing on the side staring into space while customers were swarmed in front of the hostess desk. He took down my dates name and said«I’ll have you seated in a minute: wink:.» 20 minutes later and after letting customers who arrived AFTER us have seats he finally called us. He was extremely rude. Never going back again! If you want to be treated like garbage and talked down to in front of customers then go to this Dennys.

It’s a Denny’s. The good old Grand Slam is a classic. Extra star for coolness under fire as they were jam packed giving out veterans day free breakfasts and never missed a beat.

Frustrating !! Poor service, cold food !! I went with my family to get breakfast and have a good time but it was all wrong, when we ordered the appetizer and drinks took around 35min it was disastrous. The server forgot everything all the time, we had to ask for all the things several times! And ask everyone else for things that were so logic, napkins, fill the drink up and even my 3yrd old niece’s food. We just did not appreciate the service at all.

I have been coming here on occasion since it opened and things haven’t changed much. You might be ok if you luck out during a slow time and get one of the few friendly servers. The place seems disorganized in general with the servers for the most part rude, apathetic and slow. There is a lot of bickering among the staff.

This place has horrible service, I waited about and hour just for breakfast food. The server was very loopy and didn’t know how to speak. I asked for the manager to come over and she was no help and did not make me feel any better about the situation. I didn’t even end up eating my food, I no longer wanted to eat there. I said yeah it looks pretty new once me and my friends walked in. My friend said its new but it smells in here it stinks ! it did have some type of odor. Sooo. This places isn’t that great. The chefs needs stronger skills on making things right. Mozzarella sticks wasn’t cheesy it was stretchy. Cheese quesadilla wasn’t cheesy. Waiter wasn’t really attentive .when a big group came in the Denny’s he disappeared left us and went to the big group I guess he thinks he’s going to get a «big tip«from them. So some waitress went out of her way came to our table asked us if we needed anything. So we started asking her for some stuff. The only thing that was on point was the waitress who came to help us, the chicken tenders(I suggest you to order them out of the appetizers) and mango lemonade(free refills). Those are the only thing that’s good here. Oh and That’s why the waitress got a tip instead of the dude.

Was my first time visiting this location. It was what I expected(no bells/whistles). Even though the cashier/greeter was already checking someone out we were still greeted as soon as we came in. We were seated almost immediately and right after our server, Marissa, was there to help. We were initially undecided on what we wanted but she was so pleasant and patient with us. Once we made up our minds the food came quickly and about what you would expect from a chain breakfast restaurant. We both ordered the grandslam breakfast(one with a side of blueberry pancakes). Plenty of food and had to take the rest home for later. They also offered a berry blend drink that wasn’t too sweet nor too tart. If I go again I hope Marissa is there. Keep up the good work and positive attitude.

People seem to expect the world of this Dennys. I mean it’s a Dennys in a college town. I’ve been here several times, and never had a truly bad experience. My only issue has been it being a little to packed for my liking some times, and I’ll go elsewhere and be fine. If you like Dennys this Dennys is just like any other Dennys. The servers take your order, the food gets served, and there only real duties are being nice, keeping your drinks filled, and bringing you the check. What else do you need?

I have been going to this restaurant since it opened. It’s just been going downhill. After we were seated we had to wait 10 minutes or so for someone to take our order. The place was not busy at all. Ordered a bowl of soup and a salad. The salad was okay the soup was so so and warm not hot. The other order was served cold. The entrée came before the soup. They need to go back to their grand opening days and analyze what they did right. Sorry I don’t think I’ll be going back to this dennys anytime soon

It’s Denny’s, so you already come here with low expectations. The service is extremely slow. Two times now it has taken the staff here 15 minutes to serve me — and the restaurant was absolutely empty. You know how the food at Denny’s is, so there’s no point in reviewing the food. If the service improved, this would be pretty good for a Denny’s.

I have been waiting for 25 minutes for an omelet and still the kitchen staff seems more engaged in goofing off than making food. So I hate writing bad reviews but I’m hoping that with this semi negative review, someone who works there will read it and try to fix these issues this fairly new location is ALREADY having. I must say that I was one of the many in College Park to drive by everyday just to see if this location was open yet or not — sad to say that I will probably never go to this location again and will hike it to Hanover due to the customer service, or lack thereof. First off, right when you walk in, it took around 10 minutes for the young lady to even greet me and my girlfriend because she was too busy talking to her friends about their evening festivities that were taking place that night. Horrible impression! She smiled and sat us without an apology as if this was the normal way to great guests. It took around 15 more minutes just to get see who our waiter was, and then after that, 15 more minutes for ice water: deep sigh: At this point, I was already regretting our decision to dine here for the night. I ordered French toast, scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon, and an Iced Coffee. My girlfriend ordered a melt. While we waited for our food, we had prime entertainment from one of the waiters and his girlfriend who came to visit them. They stood 10 ft from our booth kissing, hugging, and speaking very loudly. I mean WHOISTHEMANAGERINTHISJOINT lol. I know this isn’t Ruth Chris, but I’d rather not have to be forced to watch two college kids, one of which who worked there, make out. Now the food, ugh the food. When it finally came out it was cold. Also, my plate was dirty from prior uses. It pains me to say that I decided to only take one bite and couldn’t bare to continue eating it. Also, the ice coffee was very watered down and milk. Sorry but I def like coffee for the COFFEE taste lmaoo you know? Well. That’s all I can really say. Hopefully the customer service gets better — maybe don’t hire so many college students who are lazy and don’t really care. Faves: Walking out the door! Would Change: Too many to name 0. o

It’s a good thing that this new Denny’s on Baltimore Avenue is working out all of the kinks while the Maryland kids are on summer vacation because if there’s one thing college kids love to do, it’s gossip. And the word of mouth about this place is not going to be good for quite a while. For us townies(or those of us dating townies), the idea of a Denny’s to go to before the college kids wake up was brilliant. And I’m sure eventually this place will be packed. But they really have to work on their kitchen staff. When my lady and I visited on an empty Thursday, it took 45 minutes to get our food. There were about a half dozen other people in the dining room and each seemed to have similar wait times. Having seen a few Kitchen Nightmares episodes in my day, I’m surprised no one walked out. I guess people have lower expectations of Denny’s. Once the food did arrive, it was pretty off. My nachos had really runny cheese and my pancake puppies(I thank the stars of whoever at the Denny’s home office came up with this idea) were burnt. They were still pretty decent but how could anyone mess these up? They’re fried pancake batter! I can’t blame the waitstaff(although our waitress disappeared between our order and picking up our check and the other waiter on duty picked up the slack) though. After all, my lady got her veggie burger correctly(she was really worried about that when the waitress asked how she wanted it cooked) so the most complicated part of the order was fine. With all of the real diners in College Park, with good short order cooks, I won’t be going to this place for a while. But once they get up to even the low standards of Denny’s, I’ll definitely be here a lot.
