I searched a lot of options to get rid of an old mattress including junk haulers who wanted $ 75, WM or City of Atlanta Solid Waste who wouldn’t let me come to their transfer station unless I was a customer. I finally found Merk Miles Transfer station. Person on the phone and at the booth was very helpful even with directions. It was simple, I paid the minimum $ 10, she directed me to the proper dumpster, I backed my truck up to it and slid the mattress and box springs straight out of the bed into the bin. I did not even have to lift or carry it. Great resource but had a hard time finding out about it on internet searches.
