I ordered from this location via Unilocal late night — after midnight — on a Saturday. I was happy that there was something open this late in the area that also delivered since I work nights. The app was very easy to use. And ordering was completed in a snap. I ordered a cheese pizza, a cannoli and a 2L of coke. Within 5 min of ordering someone from Eat24(the app connected to Unilocal ordering) called me to let me know that the resutrants was out of cannolis and if I wanted to get anything else. I told them I didn’t want anything else and hung up. They also emailed me an updated receipt. With the emailed receipt it gave me a contact buttons in the email to contact Unilocal or the restaurant. I contact Unilocal via the email with a messaging system asking them to not knock — since my roommate would wake up — and instead to call when here. They passed my message onto the driver. The email also gave me a estimated delivery time. The driver called me as requested 2 minutes before my estimated delivery time. I was impressed. He was also very nice as it was raining and I was a dofus who forgot to bring my money to the door. The cheese pizza was hot and delicious. The crust to me was just the right thickness. Not super thin but gumcious without being too chewy. There was a greater cheese to sauce ratio which I like and I found the sauce one of the best I’ve had in the area. It was more for a rich flavoring then sweet. The cheese was gooey and melty. I will for sure be ordering again but will probably pick up next time because of the $ 5 delivery fee.

Good selection of speciality items and reasonable priced. Service was quick! Ordered the truffle mushroom pizza and it was delicious. Will be going back to try to deep dish.

Great pizza, and we love the variety of toppings. We could feed the 4 of us for about the same price at Ledo around the corner, but we wouldn’t have all these choices. Kids are quite fond of the mac & cheese pizza. I’m normally not big on mushrooms, but I liked the truffles mushroom. They also have calzones, strombolis and subs, but we’ve yet to try them. Friendly staff. It might be best to call ahead and make sure they’re open. The lettering on the door says one thing and there’s a sign above it with different(I assume correct) hours.

Amazing pizza! Just got back from a tour of Italy and pizza is made so good there and that’s what you can expect from slices! Hands down best pizza! I’d go back again in a heartbeat!

Wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but it wasn’t bad either. It’s what I expect when I’m getting slices individually

I’ve been trying to try Slices for months. Finally got a chance this past Saturday evening. I ordered online through Unilocal/Eat24. I decided on a Mushroom Truffle pizza, Caesar salad, and a garlic knot… Two for good measure! The restaurant was pretty easy to find. Storefront pictures are on Unilocal for reference. There’s no parking out front, but of you are a UMD student it’s in walking distance to residence areas, and if after 5pm you maybe be able to find street parking nearby. I did. The inside is not very large, but seating is available for small groups. The chairs are cool and funky looking. My food was ready about another 5 min after the estimated 35 min from ordering. There were no other customers inside, like like most were calling in as the phone was busy while I waited. The food smelled delicious the car ride home. The salad was ok I didn’t care for the Caesar dressing they use and the croutons were more than plentiful. Of you’re a croûton fancy out may love it. The pizza was amazing. The mushrooms were of great size, I saw onion bits, truffle sauce. The crust was thin and perfect. I reheated some for breakfast and it was great. The marinara sauce for the garlic knots was very fragrant and very tasty. Garlic knots are huge. One is more than sufficient. I could see the garlic on it and it wasn’t greasy. Definitely give Slices a shot!

Truffled mushroom pizza is delicious. The crust is crisp on the bottom but still slightly chewy. Reminds me a lot of many of the quickie pizza joints in most metropolitan areas, especially Mesa pizza in Minneapolis. Great variety in toppings and fast order completion. No complaints whatsoever I’d give them a five but I: a) have only ate there twice and b) as good as it is it still doesn’t beat the little pizza place I found in Siloam springs, Arkansas; Fratellis

Hadn’t been here in months and remembered why this past Wednesday. I finished running an errand in the area and wanted something quick for lunch. A slice of cheese pizza would do the trick. I get to Slices at 12:02 p.m. and the door is locked… huh? Inside a worker sees me and comes to unlock the door. He’s the only person there working. The. Only. Person. Working. During. Lunch. Hour. WTF. I ask him how much a slice is and he tells me, all while busily making pizzas. I tell him I just want a slice of cheese to go and he says, «OK,» but continues making his pizzas. Then the phone rings and he’s taking an order while continuing to make all these pizzas. It’s an hour after the place opened at 11 a.m. and I’m thinking to myself why aren’t all these pizzas already made? Anyways 4 minutes pass by and my slice of cheese has yet to go into the oven. So I tell him nevermind and I dip. Cold pizza and slow service. Thank God Blaze pizza opened up down the street…

So happy I tried this place. Is it perfect? No, but it’s the best pizza that delivers in College Park BYFAR! Tried five different pizzas so far and all have been very good. Crust is just thin enough, but not too thin that the slice doesn’t hold itself up. Sauce is nice and tangy, and while a bit greasy, this is a positive that adds to the flavor. As for delivery, I’ve not had a problem yet, and it is 100 times better than the surly and often 30 minutes late delivery from the Hut.

Delivery is terrible here. I’m not really sure why they even have delivery as an option at all. Ordered delivery twice online and was contacted an hour later both times saying they can’t deliver to me. I only live 4 minutes away so my location isn’t a problem. Good thing college park has a shit load of pizza places.

Slices is my go-to pizza place in College Park. Pizza slices are absolutely massive. I believe the average price is $ 4/slide — well worth your money, if you ask me. If you have a debit or credit card, the minimum is $ 5 a purchase, so keep that in mind when you’re eating like a piggy here. My favorite pizza here, no question, is the Mac & Cheese Pizza. It’s like I’m at Cici’s Pizza, minus the annoying little kids.

An interesting take on NY style pizza. When they first appeared they were a promising addition to the restaurant landscape in CP. Unfortunately, IMO, they have not lived up to their potential. A few reasons why I feel they could be better. 1. They removed their previous buy one get one free offer. 2. The pizzas are a bit greasy, but that is typical of this type of pizza. To their credit, the pizza is nowhere near as greasy as Mama Lucias. 3. The toppings don’t seem to be as fresh as they could be. For example, I get the impression that their buffalo chicken topping comes pre-bagged. 4. The special pizza are a bit over the top, why squirt spirals of sauce on top of the pizza, good flavor should come from within(other may disagree on this point, this is just my personal opinion). I should mention that a few times mistakes have been made with my order, for example I once ordered the truffled mushroom pizza but received just a regular mushroom pizza, I can’t remember how I was charged, but they probably did not charge me for the more expensive pizza. All that said, it’s still a decent alternative to chain pizza which can get old.

There are currently seven pizza places in College Park and I choose slices every time. I am super italian and I have really high standards for Pizza and Slices does it BEST. The first time I went there I sparked up a conversation with the owner. He is coincidentally from Avellino Italy, my grandparents home town about two hours South of Rome. I have tried most of the pizza at Slices but I keep going back for the Margarita and Mac n Cheese slices! HOLYMOSES are these two good! The only bad experience I had with this restaurant was regarding delivery. I ordered my pizza on a home game day and it was an hour and a half late and cold by the time I received it. I was super disappointed and made a complaint which resulted in my pizza being comped! So I am still giving Slices four stars for their AWESOME specialty pizza and GREAT customer service!

I’ve been here several times since they have opened earlier this year and it really is great pizza. They have tons of specialty slices that are different than other pizza places in the area. It is a little on the pricy end but you can tell they are using quality ingredients and the slices are huge. One is always enough to fill me up. My favorites are the buffalo chicken and the margherita pizza. The mac and cheese pizza is a really cool concept and is tasty, however I find it a bit heavy. Late at night this place can be hectic though with tons of drunk college students. But if you are getting pizza at 2 am, chances are you aren’t sober either. And c’mon, College Park is a college town after all — what do you expect? One plus side is that one time I came in right before they were about to close and they gave me a free slice :) All in all, this is a great spot to get lunch or a late night bite.

After 3 visits, it’s consistent: really great slices of pepperoni, if a little expensive, but not very good«fancy» pizzas. On the most recent visit, the pepperoni slice was crisp-crusted, fresh-tasting, with a good balance of cheese and sauce, dripping with oil. Yum. But by comparison, a meat-lovers slice was leaden and salty and not warmed all the way through, and was still sitting heavy in my stomach hours later. Considering those 2 slices were $ 7.40, the budget-minded should probably get a whole pizza somewhere else for only a few bucks more(and have enough for leftovers, or to share). If you’re hankering for one slice, go here and get the pepperoni, but its not the place for something fancier, or for a whole meal.

Definitely good quality pizza, but it is on the expensive side compared to other joints near the college. Each gourmet slice is about $ 3.50. To their defense each slice is 1⁄6 of a whole pie and they do use good ingredients. My favorite was actually just the simple tomato and basil slice. My roommate loves the truffle pizza, which is good but lacked something for me. regardless I’d come back. need to try their Sicilian style too(majority of what they had are thin crusts) UMDSTUDENTS, if you come during their happy hour, between 3 and 5 pm(I think those are the times. need to double check), you can get pizza by the slice for a bit cheaper. I think instead of $ 3.50 its $ 3 for gourmet slices and $ 2 instead of $ 2.50 for cheese. I definitely recommend this place. In fact, I’m going to come back and buy a whole pie(stretch my $ more. I think it’s $ 16+ for a whole pie, and they have Monday deals)

There should always be a separate checkout area for takeout orders– especially for something like pizza. Otherwise, what’s the point? When we came in, there was an open cash register, so we went there. After a little while waiting, a lady told us our pizza, which we’d ordered over the phone, was ready, but we’d have to wait to check out with everyone else. We got in a long line with everyone trying to get slices of pizza to eat there. Pretty ridiculous. The pizza was pretty good. Since it took a while, we ended up reheating it in the oven. We got a margherita, which could have used a little more basil, perhaps, but had a nice vibrant tomato sauce and slices of mozzarella. Didn’t notice the olive oil that was supposedly drizzled on it.

Now The Best Pizza in College Park.*** They sell sizes as little as a slice of Pizza, all the way up to «Bulk Pizza.» They have Panini’s & Pretzel Logs, Party Platters & Party Pans. Salads, Sweets & Starters, Gourmet Pizza & Traditional Pizza. They’re a one stop Pizza shop, on your walk home. The Problem is, is that Slice nothing to write home about, and it’s real small & usually crowded. I was personally hoping for a Wise Guy or We The Pizza, level of Pizza. This place is a step below those places, which are themselves a step below The Italian Store, Pupatella, Etc. But, this is now One’s best option for pizza in College Park/Hyattsville. — So say I. ***There is no outstanding pizza in College Park. Ledo’s isn’t pizza, it’s buttery flat-bread(although delicious, under the right circumstances). Pizza Autentica & this place are about the best one could expect for NY Style Pizza in the area. And Ratsie’s survives mostly on location. I’m not going to even mention the Chains. Whadda Ya Gonna Do? It’s a College Town, and that means drunk late night, drunk pizza night late… and this place is open late. Considering that they’ve just opened on 8÷29÷13, they’ll do great. It’s 4 Star College Pizza, but only 3 stars when compared to some of the better pizza in the DMV. It’s still better than any chain pizza but not as good as one would expect. Overall, Their Pizza Sauce is more sweet than salty(sometimes bland), and some of their Gourmet Pizzas fall short(buffalo chicken). Their Margherita & «Neapolitan» Pizzas are solid. They’re Not too Salty and not too, too, Oily either… I guess It’s not too shabby.
