They have closed and didn’t tell anyone. I had a reservation and nada. You are a poor business person to operate this way. Very disappointed. Came into town and was having a dinner meeting here.

Tried to eat here tonight. Sign says: we are closed indefinitely. Wonder what happened?

Extremely over priced. Service was not good at all. Took a friend from out of town and was embarrassed by this place. Food was ok. Not somewhere I would go again.

We had dinner here last night. The place has a warm atmospgere and the food was excellent. I went with the lamb chops which were very well seasoned and came with potatoes and haricot verts. They were really good and tender. My boss had the pork chop which was crusted in spices and looked perfectly cooked. As a bonus the mini pecan cornbread and peach biscuits they brought to the table were excellent.

Amazingly cozy an quite… Very clean the smells from outside was wonderful but when I enter the building it was very appealing. when I approach the a podium I was asked did I have a reservation and I replied no and then it was a hesitation so your best bet is to make a reservation before going. Next she said well I have a table in the back. I than I asked May I see it and I took it but she left without giving me a menu. I then wait for my guest to arrived. My waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and trust worthy on whatever was asked of him Zahire was awesome. I order a deboned Cornish hen stuff with crab meat an spinach and cream sauce with asparagus seasoned so so so well. My guest had fried lobster and garlic mash potatoes and fried crab with asparagus. It was a phenomenal and DELICIOUS! I clean my plate the Meal was worth the 35 I paid for it and the drink was nice, it was a lemon drop… I didn’t do the dessert but it looked DELICIOUS and sinful. whew! Next time… I will be back believe it

In town for a conference and my group of 20 had dinner at this restaurant. They accommodated us nicely, very friendly and enthusiastic staff, always making sure glasses were full(water and wine). I had the pecan chicken — looked perfect, the sweet potatoes were a delicious addition too. If eating with a group, try the appetizer platter, it’s a nice sampler to share. The atmosphere and style was nice as well, love the exposed brick. Definitely would come back when in the area.

Cozy. Inviting. Unpretentious. Delicious. These are a few words that come to mind when I think of The Pecan. It’s one of my favorites near the airport – only two or three minutes away. Recently I visited for a romantic meal with my guy and again for a holiday dinner with friends. We didn’t have to wait for a table on either occasion. The first time we sat near the vintage Coca-Cola mural on the exposed brick wall. The second time we were seated at a larger table in the adjoining room. We felt right at home in both areas of the restaurant. There were a lot of flavorful options on their menu. Here is a quick rundown of the ones I tasted: Curry Carrot Ginger Soup My guy ordered this soup, garnished with wonton strips and lump crab meat. Its velvety texture and blend of spices(with a sweetness from crab) was irresistible. Leek & Asparagus Soup This silky green soup was accented with chive Chantilly crème. I am not a huge fan of leeks or asparagus but I couldn’t get enough of it. Even though the flavor was mild, it was far from bland. Blackened Shrimp & Pepper Jack Grits Our server said their shrimp and grits were a crowd pleaser and he was right. A handful of shrimp were served on a bed of grits and dribbled with Creole aioli. For such a simple dish, it was absolutely delicious. Blackened Fish with Sweet Potatoes and Asparagus Spears The fish was perfectly blackened(not burned) and went well with the puréed potatoes and crisp asparagus. Italian Collard Greens This is a dish I wouldn’t order again even though one of my friends loved it. I think the tomato on top made it too tangy for me. Sweet Potato Pie I swoon for their sweet potato pie. The sweet potato pie was one of the best desserts I tasted all year. They topped the warm pie with whipped cream and generously drizzled it with caramel sauce. We asked for a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side and it tasted homemade. It was so good that my guy and I literally spoon dueled for the last bite. After dining here, I can see why people like to rent out the restaurant for private events. I would recommend this charming neighborhood spot for its ambiance, friendly service and tasty food.

I have been living in the College Park/East Point area for close to ten years but have never dined at this restaurant until today. A Sunday. I met a friend there who was already seated. Tiffanie our server greeted me with a smile. Immediately I knew this place was upscale. All the diners were dressed up and seemed to have come directly from church. We went at 1pm. A nice crowd was there but it wasn’t packed. There is an older gent sitting in the front window singing and playing jazz. Ambiance is definitely present. I ordered a Mimosa and the Blackened Shrimp and Grits that came with Collard Greens and I added the home fries. My friend had the Spinach Quiche with bacon and home fries. We were brought peach muffins and biscuits. So good. Next came our food. There was virtually next to no waiting imo. I was impressed. The Grits were so smooth, creamy and cheesy. No lumps and melt in your mouth good. The shrimp had a wonderful spicy but not hot flavor. They were just so darn good for lack of a better word. The collards and potatoes were tasty as well. I was stuffed but had to try the pecan pie with praline ice cream. Pecans are toasted goodness. I had a marvelous time here and cannot wait to return.

This place has it all. Wonderful service, great ambiance, and food that is on point. My absolute favorite was the pecan pie. There are not enough words to describe its goodness. Wiping drool from mouth now as I think about it!

If you are looking for an old fashioned, fancy brunch then this is a perfect place. Who knew there was such a fancy and elegant place in the heart of College Park. We needed to find a good brunch place near the airport and found Pecan. Great southern classics prepared wonderfully. A bit on the salty side but hey, I did say southern classics. The spinach quiche was decadent and cheesy. Salmon croquettes with pepper jack grits was delicious, and the pecan crusted buttermilk chicken was just as good as it sounds. You most certainly have to get the pecan pie for dessert. Probably the best pecan pie I’ve ever had. All pecans with just enough sugar to hold it together. Fantastic. There is live jazz playing in the background. While this is really very nice it does get a little loud for intimidate conversation. Definitely dressy. don’t show up in shorts and a t shirt. This is an elegant and classy place. Service is definitely fine dining.

My husband found this gem in September and surprised me today with brunch. Fantastic doesn’t begin to describe. Lovely, well appointed setting with live jazz. And the food… OMG!!! Had the blackened shrimp with pepperjack grits and italian collard greens… DELISH!!! Great, attentive and knowledgeable staff. Special shoutout to our server Shannon… top notch service! Hubby and I are now committed to making the trek from Gwinnett at least once per month… well worth it!

Came for Sunday brunch. Service was good but the food did take a long time to come out since we were here when they firsts opened and it wasn’t crowded. Seems like making a reservation on Sunday is the way to go as I over heard the hostess by my cozy seat in the window. The food was great chicken breast cooked perfectly and the 2ndBEST French toast I’ve ever had! Faster hotter food would’ve gotten 6 stars!!!

Our second time here and we can’t figure out why we haven’t been back sooner — that won’t happen again. Service — we had a great experience which is consistent with our last visit. Ambiance — I consider it to be semi-upscale in feel and appearance. Food — our appetizer was pure mouth watering, Seafood Beggar. My wife really enjoyed her crab cakes. I asked the server if the lamb chops were good. She replied, «They are the best»! Well, I concur they are the best. Price — yes, a little on the high side but would only be a problem if any part of the experience was disappointing, which was not the case. Overall — can’t think of another restaurant on this side of town that offers this type experience with great food. We will be back!

I would really prefer to give this establishment no stars, but that’s not possible. I arrive at this restaurant after my party of 20 people was seated. I took an über to the restaurant. I get seated and one of my colleagues asks me if I can help with the waiter’s attitude. I said I’d try. Well the comes by, his name is CJ, and his attitude stinks. Stinks to high heaven. You can speak while he’s speaking, can’t substitute sides, can’t laugh. Everyone around the table are on their p’s and q’s, no one wants to say anything bc they are afraid he will spit in their food. My coworker and I start laughing bc this couldn’t be happening. He comes behind me and starts clicking his pen waiting for me to stop laughing. I couldn’t believe it. He had this booming voice. I swear I was back in Catholic school. He asks my coworker what she is ordering, she said«nothing» he said GOOD! I mean the worst service ever. We called an über and my coworker and I left.

My parents came to visit me from DC a couple months ago and decided on this place based on an ad they saw in some hotel magazine. I guess those ads do work? I had originally planned to take them to some casual southern place, but they had their heart set on this place(no idea why). Made a reservation on Open Table and they were ready for us when we got there. They got wine and I got the lemonade. One thing that I will never get used to is how sweet everything is in the south. I followed my lemonade up with a water. We ended up with a sampler of their crab cake, lamb, shrimp, bruschetta, and mixed greens. The crab cake was delicious, the lamb was nicely seasoned, the shrimp were large and cooked well, and the bruschetta had a nice blend of tomatoes and cheese. Very satisfied with it and it was a great way to start the meal. I was very pleased with my crab cakes. The garlic mashed potatoes and haricot verts were the perfect addition to the two crab cakes. My mom’s shrimp were cooked perfectly, and at the recommendation of the waiter she got them with grits and loved that, too. My dad ended up with one of their specials and was the first to finish his plate, so I’m assuming no complaints there. We finished the meal with a slice of The Pecan pie(how can you not?) and the peach cobbler. The pecan pie was not overly sweet, which I really appreciated. And the peach cobbler is a must. So delicious. Service was prompt, our server was knowledgeable and helped us make informed decisions about our dinner choices. I’d definitely return.

Was driving by and decided to pop in. Very nice place, good vibe, live jazz. I have no doubt everything on the menu was good but you MUST try the fried catfish and pepper-jack grits. DAMNGOOD! The collard greens were surprisingly good(many restaurants just don’t do them right). Will certainly make my way back here again.

I had the pleasure of eating at The Pecan today for brunch, and had an amazing experience. This quaint restaurant is on Main St. in College Park, but it has all the characteristics of a big city eatery! The wait staff was extremely professional and friendly, while being very helpful about the menu. The décor is beautiful, and very well kept. There are only about 15 – 20 tables in the entire restaurant, but the food completely makes up for the square footage. The first thing I really loved is that they have BOTTOMLESSMIMOSAS for only $ 10! Most restaurants either force you to purchase a carafe or charge you $ 15 – 20 for Bottomless Mimosas. They also have southern favorites like homemade lemonade, iced tea, and of course, the Arnold Palmer. Now for the food! Originally, I wanted the Spinach Quiche, but they were out, and it only came with Swiss cheese… I hate Swiss cheese. Our waiter then highly recommended the fried catfish & pepper jack cheese grits… I was skeptical, but took his suggestion… THEFOODWASOUTSTANDING! As a G.R.I.T.S(Girl Raised In The South), I’m VERY particular about my GRITS(see what I did there? LOL)…these Pepper jack cheese grits were AMAZING! The catfish was fried very well, and I had the sweet potato purée as a side. Overall, I had a GREAT experience, and will happily return!

in a strip, where maybe a nice restaurant shouldn’t be, this was a nice surprise. open and airy, with brick walls and tables spaced so you weren’t right on top on someone else… we walked into a half empty restaurant for dinner and the host replied that he thought he could accomodate us. i always laughed out loud, but maybe it was a joke. i jammed on some lamb chops, with some mashed and haricot vert. very well done, nice portions for the price and it was accompanied by a cab. honestly, i cleaned my plate. i thought was dang tasty. i think i’m a fan.

Wow. This was a great experience, but the details just weren’t there. I so wanted to give them a 5 stars, but it just had too many misses for that. We arrived with an hour to go on their hours. So that was maybe 9:00pm on a Thursday night. We arrived and an office dinner party was winding down. It was LOUD and totally took up the bar seating area. Not too bad as it wasn’t the restaurant’s fault. Other than that, we were the only three. Hot off the airplane and hungry. When they left, it took away most of the noise. I started with an awesome cocktail. I had a 7&7 which typically is standard fare. This person knew how to make a drink. Wish I ordered something a bit more complex to test the bartender. Had the crab cakes for the entrée. It was great. The sides were perfect. The cakes themselves seemed a bit too institutional, but they were very good. The mashed potatoes and veggies made it great. How often do you hear that? I saved room(yeah, right) for dessert. I actually stuffed in the pecan pie. Wow, it was great. I love pecan pies and actually have low standards. This was actually good compared to most. The thing that tanked it was the kitchen staff. As soon as the crowd left, some woman was screaming her head off. I don’t know what the stories were. If it was funny. If she was just that way, but it literally was a constant scream. Like she was talking across a football field and just out of her mind entertaining herself. It was very distracting for a restaurant of that caliber. I would definitely go again and hope that it was early enough in the evening that the back room folks had something meaningful to do.
