We came on a Monday night. The place was dead. The prices for a steak house were not bad, especially given the dinner special option. I ordered a mix of oysters. They were amazing, fresh, and the highlight of the meal. Things went down hill after. Several had the bacon appetizer. It is like a non seasoned chicharron that is broiled instead of deep fried. One friend could not eat it because it was so greasy. I had the clams casino. I could not finish one because the batter was cold in the middle and freezer burnt. The onion soup was small portioned. Generally, one fills the bowl so the cheese is over the rim, but not here. The mushroom soup had a puff pastry but it came burned. Several in the party orders filet, which they were happy with, though it came with an odd half of tomato covered in a small spew of baked cheese. My rib eye needed to have been trimmed better. Two different sides had grissel, and the amount of tail fat was embarassing. My friends will tell you that I love my steak and eat every but tat and all. I couldn’t here. The steak was so under seasoned and fatty I had to give up. I really had high hopes for this place which is like an institution… but honestly I felt like Gordon Ramsey and wanted to just scrap the place and make it have good food and a modern ambience.

Worst meal I ever had, lobster tail smelled like ammonia and I been vomiting since the meal. The filet mignon was ok and the lobster smelled like ammonia. If it smells like ammonia it’s because it’s not fresh. It was probably sitting around too long prior to being refrigerated & then frozen during processing. Strong ammonia smell is a natural way to tell that lobster meat is not fit to eat… worst meal I ever had got sick from it and I would never step foot in that nasty restaurant…

Highly recommended ! We stopped on an Saturday night for dinner. Wish I recalled the servers name. Very attentive, super nice. Danny’s offers dinner specials which include an appetizer, a soup or salad, an entrée and dessert. The price varies depending on which entrée you select. Prices ranged from $ 40 – 55. The steaks were top quality. For the price of the meal you cannot go wrong. Normally in a steakhouse price includes just the steak and then you pay $ 8 – 15 per side dish plus everything else. Here your meal is made and simple and delicious ! We also ordered a pitcher of sangria and ½ dozen oysters. Sangria was very good, oysters nice and fresh. I highly recommend Danny’s for a top notch steak dinner at a very reasonable price !

Service was horrible The host sat us, the waitress working was new didn’t give us a menu, we walked up and requested for 1 and she gave us 1-there was 2 of us? We waited 20mins and we got up an additional time for asked if we can have water, and 15 more minutes we again asked we can order. Although she did apologize, she said she never waitress before but isn’t it customary to give water and menus? All in all dinner took way to long– I thought this to be ridiculous The onion soup was flavorless yet salty Mussels was very fishy DEFINITELY not fresh Roasted chicken and veggies was good.

I actually gave this place 2 tries before I finally decided to leave a review. First time having Danny’s was 1 year ago with my wife, side dishes were horrible and tasteless, spinach tasteless n soggy, French fries disgusting mash potato cold… but the steak was sizzling hot coming out from the kitchen and flavorful, so I would have gave it a 3 star experience along with pricing… $ 130 with a glass of wine Second time which was with a party of 6 was even worst than the first experience. The steak came out warm no sizzle or what so ever. I even told the waitress make sure the steak is sizzling HOTHOT coming out. We were hungry so we just ate the damn thing, she did come over and ask how’s everything and I told her steak was warm, her reply(OH) I can throw in back in and reheat it for you… I was lost for words once she said that. The side dishes I was really hoping for a change, spinach still bad, fries worst like last time, sautéed mushrooms were soaked in butter, best side dishes were steamed vegs!!! Oysters had sand in it,(which I really really hate biting into) They said they were SOLDOUT of aged rib eye(my friends ask me is this a real steakhouse?) The waitress was really cute but slow, had to ask 4 times for napkins, 3 times for beer but super fast on our check. The thick bacon was a JOKE, total rip off of Lugers just like their steak sauce… save your $$$ and you get better food from down the block at Golden Tim’s deli

I would say it’s a decent place for the price they offer. Wait staff was attentive and caring, but seemed hectic most of the time we were there; three different waitresses came to us three different times to ask the same question. Maybe tables should be assigned for each person? We overheard complaints from our surrounding tables ranging from forgotten drinks/orders, to the steak not being cooked as requested. Our service came out to be fine though, so it could be that we got lucky. We ordered a slab of bacon and a beet and avocado salad to start, and a porterhouse for two with two sides. Bacon was good. The beet and avocado salad was not fresh(you can see bruising on the avocado actually), and it was obvious they used store-bought thousand island dressing. The porterhouse and sides came out perfect though. Perhaps more training for the staff would do this place well. And no shortcuts in food preparation, please, if you want to keep this place a steak house and not a fastfood/diner! Considering the nice service, I would give them another shot if I’m around the area, but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to come.

Delicious! Oysters were incredible, cold as ice like they should be and the horseradish I believe is made in house and I adore that. The shrimp cocktail yummy, cooked perfectly, baked clams great! It’s good Friday so I can’t wait to go back for the pork cheeks and steak. I also had the linguine and clam sauce and our friend had the scallops! Enjoyed everything but the Lobster Bisque! Needs to be a bit thicker and creamier perhaps a bit more paprika and seasoning as well. Definitely will go time and again! Overall impression is very very good. I’m looking forward to our next evening out and returning.

It was a fantastic experience. I made the reservation on Unilocal and they confirmed it with me before the time. They have such good service. My family is so satisfied. The steak is definitely great, strongly recommends the Rib eye steak. My aunt loves the house wine and it’s inexpensive! Such good dinner

Love this restaurant! When you first walk into this restaurant you will see a bar. Then there’s a seperate section for dinning. I love the detail and decorations whether it was on the wood beam or throughout the restaurant. I especially like that it has a fire place and the«vintage» grand ceiling light. As for food, the price is very reasonable for such a huge portion. We ordered the porterhouse steak, pork jowl, king crab legs, and smoke bacon. All of the ingredients are very fresh and good quality! Love their aged porterhouse and pork jowl!!! Must try!!! They also have a huge selection of wine choice. We ordered a Malbec and it’s was pretty good! I have a great experience in this restaurant as their staffs are very friendly. I think it’s a prefect restaurant for a date, holiday dinner or company events! Hope this helps. :)

Not sure if it was me but arrived for my reservation early… the host sat the people in fornt of us and passed us by ready to seat the people behind us until i spoke up. I am only 6 foot 5200 + pounds i can understand the oversight. After being seated the table next to us recieved tgeir drinks and appetizers despite being seated after us, 30 minutes later we recieved our first appetizer and 1 drink although we were a couple. Another half hour later my lady got her drink, remember the other couple i metioned… they are in the middly of their main course. I brought this up to the waiter as he apologised with no explanation… Just to wrap up the experience we received our check quicker than our meal. The service industry preaches on tips of 18 percent and higher… i agree, however do u feel i they deserved a tip of 18 percent? Lastly, i noticed an african american couple seated as we were wrapping up. Why did it take 45 minutes for them to be attended to? They did not even get a glass of water… i have been disgusted and highly dissatisfied at this restaurant. And the meal was subpar at best the pork was bland the lobster bisque fell flat of flavor… i was better off at the diner on astoria blvd and 31st ave.

Great steak and portions are just right. Wait staff are very friendly and wine list is very reasonable. Great for family in the back and for watching the game in the front bat area.

We came from Chicago, and I took my gf there last night for her bday dinner which I am glad, I have to say this place surpassed my expectations! I would highly recommend their Fresh Oyster Japanese A5 Wagyu and Double Loin lamb, best I have ever had! The price is very reasonable yet portion is huge, come and check it out! I also want to take a moment to give a special thanks to the restaurant manager Alex and owner a special thanks to make our night special, they were very friendly and the service was just awesome, me and my gf were very satisfied!

When I first entered this restaurant, the place is very neat and the waiters was very kindhearted and they nicely seated us. My family ordered sea food such as oysters and it tastes fresh. Furthermore, the steaks and. the porterhouse is.very.nicely done. It .mouth drooled at the sight of the chicken noodle soup and the. onion soup. I would come back again. The only. suggestion is the diner. rooms jazz music.

My friends and I were at Spa Castle and we wanted to eat somewhere other than the spa. Of course we turned to Unilocal, and Danny’s was only a 3-minute drive from the spa so we decided to check it out. The bar is the first thing you see when you walk in. It’s a nicely sized bar area with booths as well, but we decided to sit in the dining room. The dining room is beautifully decorated!!! Danny’s gives you two different sceneries: Bar/Pub in the front & Fine Dining in the back. On this Friday afternoon, Natalia(I hope I spelled her name right) was our server. She is genuinely pleasant and a remarkable server! Her service, the décor, and the bread before the meal were the best things about dining here. I ended up ordering the Half Rack of Ribs, a baked potato, and the asparagus and wasn’t too happy. The asparagus was harder than I wanted it to be and I totally disliked the BBQ sauce on my ribs which turned me off of my meal. Being that I was the only person out of 5 that didn’t like my meal and Natalia is just awesome, I’m willing to give this place another try. My friends ordered crab legs and mussels and they were all satisfied. I probably should have hopped on that crab leg train… Next time!

Local spot so me and wifey decided to check it out. This place is straight trash and here’s why: 1. Lobster bisque tastes just like cream of chicken 2. Cream spinach looks and tastes like what you’d get out of a boil in frozen bag 3. Both rib eyes came out medium well when we ordered medium rare 4. Danny’s signature steak sauce tastes just like Peking style pork chop sauce. The best thing about our meal was our waitress. She was attentive and sweet. You’ve been warned.

Yes to all the steaks! We ordered T-bone steak, NY strip, prime house steak, thick cut bacon, porter house for two, creamed spinach, mac and cheese, raw oysters and clam chowder. Our order took long to arrive but then again everybody at our table ordered steak. It suck to have to translate every steak to my parents but I was happy they have one Chinese speaking waitress. It wasn’t packed and you have to make reservations. At the end she gave us a small bottle of their famous steak sauce for free. OMG made my day since their steak sauce was amazing! Some steakhouse only accept cash but this one accepts credit card and cash.

I came for lunch to take advantage of the $ 20 prix fixe which comes with an app, entrée, 2 sides and a dessert. The prix fixe is not a bad deal and it is a good amount of food. The quality of the food was a little suspect, though. The restaurant itself has a very outdated dining room vibe. They do have their own sauce, but it didn’t really stand up to the steak. It barely had any taste when you pair it with the steak. I know you«aren’t» supposed to eat sauce with steak but sometimes I think it complements the steak, the sauce here didn’t. I would want to come back and try their Porterhouse. The food: Thick Cut Bacon– It’s fantastic, but on the greasy side. It has a nice smokiness and it’s super tender and flavorful but it’s almost dripping grease. 10oz Ribeye– The cut was tender, but it lacked seasoning. It also felt like leftover steak that was reheated in the microwave. Salmon Wellington– The idea seamed great and the salmon was cooked nicely, but the puff pastry was so limp and lifeless. It didn’t have a nice golden brown exterior. The mustard sauce I was not a fan of, it just tasted like thinned out yellow mustard. Mashed Potatoes– this was my favorite side. It was great, nice and fluffy and had a nice butter taste to it. Creamed Spinach– The creamed spinach was terrible. We had two orders at the table and the other dish wasn’t even touched. The spinach was not creamy nor velvety. I say worse creamed spinach I ever had. Sauteed Mushrooms– these were OK, nothing memorable really. NY Cheesecake– I thought their cheesecake was great. It was light, fluffy and not too sweet. Tiramisu– I thought the Tiramisu was just OK, I liked that it didn’t have a strong boozy taste but I felt it was too lackluster. Chocolate Brownie with vanilla ice cream– the brownie was just OK. It had a strong store bought taste to it.
