Tutor Time

My child is not enrolled here so this is based only on my tour. I believe this location has a new name as they are no longer a Tutor Time location. They have a lot of space for the kids to play both inside and out-​especially compared to centers closer to my home in Astoria. The building seemed clean. The front desk staff was very helpful on the phone and the director was kind enough to give us a last minute tour. They offer the free UPK/​pre-​K for all option for 4 year olds. We toured many places when considering moving my child from her current school in spring ’15 and this was one of the options we liked best. I was bothered by the idea that my child would be forced to eat the food they provide as the menu looked kind of gross and not in line with the desire to avoid processed food for my kid. I was hopeful that I could just send food for her instead but they were not willing to allow that except for meals that violated dietary restrictions/​allergies. In the end, we decided against this center due to the lack of nearby public transportation and the menu issue. I don’t recall the exact monthly cost but it was around $ 1250 for full time for a 2 year old.
