Hum, well I used to love this place. I do still love the physical space. But we visited during the summer and the wine by the glass was, shall we say, really bad. Not just average, bad, almost undrinkable. There were no other options either other than buying an expensive bottle of wine. I am hoping that this has changed, but have been reluctant to go back. The prices also had increased quite a bit. Also, at one time they had bands and a food truck. It’s nice to have a good physical space, but if that is all you have to offer, it isn’t enough.

Starting with the negative: my only complaint is that the service is poor and incredibly slow. Now the positive: the atmosphere is great, the wine is great, and the cheese and meat tray is fabulous. The wine is reasonably priced, and the wine flights are great because they give you a heavy poor. Recommend? Yes, I would. But go into the Wine Depot expecting poor service. Yes, they’re friendly, but poor servers and very slow.

I LOVE the Wine Depot. Great atmosphere, great wine, great art. I wish I would have found this place sooner– I could become a weekly regular here. The bartenders are wonderful and always helpful. The wine-by-the-glass options change often and are always refreshing. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, both with pleasant atmospheres. Limited food options, but after all, this is a wine bar, not a restaurant. The food they do have is tasty and pairs very well with wine. This is by far my favorite wine bar in the area! Tip: Try a wine flight and a meat & cheese platter!

I decided to change my rating of this fabulous ‘diamond in the rough wine bar’ after I was again in College Station for business. And much to my delight, I was informed that the place was under new management; and it shows, the staff is friendly and engaging, the environment is lively, and the fun seems to never stop! A must return !

Wine Depot is College Station’s #1 Thursday night.(Not sure why the name just says«Benjamin Knox» as that’s a person, and when I first reviewed this I entered the correct name but Unilocal edited it and has made it confusing)… Anyway, Wine Depot is located in the Benjamin Knox Art Gallery. It’s an an awesome new location to be able to enjoy the cuisine of Chef Tai with the Chef Tai’s Mobile Bistro truck parked here every Thursday night. Wine, live music and ample seating to go along with your top food truck score. Love it.

The Wine Depot is a great place for an espresso or a glass of wine. I have been to this bar several times and have always had excellent service and excellent wine. It’s a great atmosphere especially on Thursdays(live music and great street food). It is definitely a place you have to check out when in the Bryan/College Station area!

All the times I’ve been here have been on business retreateats — typically we are in a reserved room in the back and it has always been in the afternoon. And no, we don’t partake of the wind until done — so at the end of the retreat we have a mini-social. So I can’t comment on what it is like to come here in the evening and enjoy some wine on the terrace, but I’ve been impressed with the quality of the food and wind they’ve made available for us. Their AV equipment has performed will for our retreat presentations and it is a nice quiet place outside the office for us to meet and discuss various issues and changes our department is tackling. Have to find a way to come back some time just to enjoy and relax!

My husband and I went here a couple weekends ago after leaving the Texas Reds festival incredibly disappointed. This place completely redeemed our night! They don’t have the largest wine selection, and they don’t offer many wine flights(I think there was only 1 «red» flight and 1 «white» flight), but the glass & bottle prices are *incredibly* low! We ended up getting 2 bottles of wine and a cheese plate, which was delicious too! We also enjoyed live music on the deck while sipping our wine and snacking on our cheese. We’ll definitely be coming back to this place — great wine, great food, and great atmosphere!
