Stopped in here for lunch today around noon. Pretty underwhelming in all honesty.
There was a bit of a crowd so I understand service will be suspect. Seeing our server twice though was kind of odd. Remember that table touching is the key to great service and higher earnings.
Bland generic yet comfortable ambiance. I did not expect too much in this department.
The food was kind of lame. I got grilled chicken with rice and veggies. If the chicken was seasoned, I surely did not taste it. Veggies were alright, though the broccoli tasted slightly old so I assume the other veggies were as well. Rotation please. The rice was the best part of my meal and I know that was not anything special (most likely Sysco blend #27 lol).
Price is decent but only if the quality of service and food is on par.
I may return. I may not. There are far better options for your money in cstat.

Recently had my first visit here after not knowing where else to go and I wasn’t expecting much, but it was great. Fast service, great fried pickles, and a great atmosphere what else could you want. I greatly recommend it if you are looking for somewhere to have a nice meal that feels like home.

Tonight was our first night to this cotton patch and we had a great experience! The service was insanely fast! Fast with drinks, food, Bill, etc. the portions are large so my husband and I split the chicken fried chicken. It was the perfect amount of food. Mac and cheese was yummy and so were the fried pickles :) we will be going back here for our date night in the future!

We go here often as it is very close to home. We used to get it to go but the order was almost always wrong and cold so we stopped. Food is consistent and I love the chicken fried steak, fries, and white gravy. Really great food but the service is sooooo slooowwww recently (even for our small family of 3!). Service is just okay and we often ask for our cups to be refilled. Our last trip was probably the worst as our food took a long time to get to us, we waited the entire time for cornbread but it was always «still cooking» and never got it, sides were very cold– I wanted to get them warmed up but we could never find our waiter, plus our toddler wasn’t wanting to wait to get someone to heat up the cold macaroni. I do love the food here… just wish the small things were fixed a bit.

Ok, you know what? F*** y’all. So after the manager’s note apologizing for running out of turkey around lunchtime, I decided to try to go back there today only to be told they «stopped having turkey and dressing a couple of weeks ago» because they «can’t get turkey anymore»…right…because turkeys are suddenly extinct now and no more exist in the world.
That’s it. I’ve had it with you f****rs now. You can go on doing this kind of bull**** with other people, but I am not falling for it anymore.
Goodbye and good riddance.
Revised from 1 to 3 stars because the manager did make a valiant attempt to blame the shortage on bird flu… further research found that the actual, true reason is likely not because they «can’t» buy turkey, but rather because it would reduce their profit margin to have to buy it right now… even though there are still millions and millions of «safe» turkeys available right now in the US.
Still am not going there again.

I’ve dined here twice now and both times have been impressed with the food. It’s an upscale version of Applebee’s or Chili’s in my opinion. I ordered the Tex Mex salad and I will definitely be ordering it again. The salads are huge serving sizes and have a lot of flavor. The service was okay – both times the waitresses were very friendly but not always very attentive to the water glasses. I will most definitely be back!

Took three attempts to get the steak cooked close to correct. I ordered medium rare and got way past well done. It wasn’t even a good well done it was so dry. The second one was beyond rare. It was raw. The third one was a second attempt at the second steak. Hit the mark. My potato was not replaced during this long wait. Had to ask for a new one. No manager ever came by to speak with us. It also took thirty minutes for all of our food to come out the first time. The restaurant wasn’t busy. Food was good. Just wish a manager approached us.

I came today at lunchtime. I had pot roast with corn and macaroni and cheese. The pot roast was tender and tasty although a little salty. A friend of mine had the salmon, for $ 14 he got a piece the size of the iPhone four. He was not impressed although he did say it was quite good. I continue to be less than impressed with the service. Our waiter was either in competent or in training or possibly both.

The bread here is very good, the butter included is unique and enjoyable. I always get the tropical meatloaf and find it to be well worth the price. Combine this with the mac and cheese, rice and mashed potatoes and you have something that you will dream about every time hunger comes about. Quality ingredients that taste like they were made from scratch. Great food and service!

First time here — came with a Church Group — about twenty folks for lunch — service was great and precise!
I ordered Grilled Norwegian Salmon/​steamed vegetables — a 5 star meal! It came out hot — and tasty!
Not sure about other meals — I did not hear complaints from others on the bus.

Well similar to TGI Fridays.
Service was really good. Server was always on top of drink refills and prompt friendly service
Ordered a turkey club with steamed veggies (sorry no pic). The sandwich was a good size with a healthy portion of turkey, cheese, bacon, and avocado on toasted whole wheat bread. With the exception of the toasted bread everything was quite good.
I was impressed with how filling it actually was
Would recommend for anyone going out for a quick sit down lunch.

Great food, good prices, great atmosphere. What more could you ask for? Really like this place.

Great service but the food was mediocre. My dining partners ordered the shrimp basket and the the fish and chips. (I ordered the chicken fried steak). On all plates, the fries were soggy and chewy. The fish and shrimp were both bland. It wasn’t terrible food — seems as though it had been sitting out and was lifeless.

Very friendly service. Quick and clean. Food was good. Cobb salad was plenty of food! Drake was very nice and helpful with menu choices.

I have only been there once… And never again. The mac&cheese tasted like the microwaveable kind… Food was simple and boring…

I don’t stray far from what they’re «known for». That being said, I ordered chicken fried chicken to go, with gravy on the side (I’ve learned from other restaurants that it guarantees me a freshly made chicken breast and not a microwave heated one drowned in gravy. So, of course my CFC was fresh out of clean frying oil (I’ve had dirty before!) corn was good, mashed potatoes tasted like they had been scooped from a 11am batch. My rolls were hot and golden brown and my server was very courteous walking around and handing me my bag. Minus stars for no plasticware or napkins in the bag, no cornmuffins (which I prefer over the bread if they’re hot and fresh), and those old mashed potatoes. So actually I’d give them 3 ½ stars.

I have NO clue why this restaurant only has an average of 3 stars! I read some of the lower reviews and I just don’t get it. I thought it was delicious! I ordered chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and mac n’ cheese. For about $ 8.00 I would have been able to make three meals out of the portions they give you. My boyfriend ordered the chicken fried steak and also agreed that the food was yummy.
While waiting for our food they gave us some yummy rolls to snack on which were fresh out of the oven. The service was a tad slow, but my company was nice and the food was well worth it. If I lived in Texas, this place would probably be my go to.

I decided to give this place another try, … big mistake. Last time I was here, I told myself, never again, but, hey, it’s close to my work and a fairly quick place to grab lunch if you get the right server, today service was OK.
Had the mushroom swiss burger. Decent sized burger totally lacking in flavor. The meat was indistinguishable from the mushrooms in both taste and consistency. Both the lettuce and onions are diced, so they fall out of the burger. They placed the hot burger patty on top of the tomatoes, so they were half cooked and soggy by time the burger arrived. It must have sat somewhere for a while, because it was not hot when it was served. Fries were of the frozen variety, but OK.
Last time I was here, I had the lunch special chicken fried steak. I understand reduced portions for lunch, but this was ridiculous, a 3×3 inch piece of meat in which the first half inch is only batter.
and $ 2.19 plus tax is too much for a glass of tea.
won’t be going back anytime soon.

Very middle of the road. Lots of «brown» food here.
Nice staff and clean enviroment. Service is pretty fast.
Just not my cup of tea.
