Best local bar. This is the kind of bar where the people who work the bar remember you, and they’re always cool. Service is always good, the people who work the bar are friendly and know their beers. The group that I go out with has made this our regular weekly spot because we love the atmosphere, it is the most welcoming bar in town and attracts a very non-traditional crowd by Northgate standards. The space is especially great in the summer, a nice cool place to come in and get out of the heat. Also a good place to watch games, plenty of places to sit and TVs everywhere. Love this place, it’s a real down to earth spot that always feels comfortable. And their sandwiches are good.

5 stars because it was the first Bar my older brother would sneak me into when I was under age twenty something years ago. It is still the best dive bar in Northgate to this day. Albeit a little bit fancier then in my hey day. Duddley’s Draw is why I spend more time in Dive Bars than«Clubs». Duddley’s Draw was and still is the«everyday guy» college bar. It is not the place for Frat Daddies or Mommas. It is where real people go to chill with real people in the BCS. It was an oasis for many during my time in AggieLand. Getting a Chugger is synonymous in my membrane when I think of Duddly’s. Dudd’s is now a full-bar which is pretty cool. Gotta say I do miss the nostalgia of being able to bring a bottle to drink with friends, but it is nice to have that option. Their bar-keeps are always cool. French Dip sandwich was always a favorite of mine back in the day, but haven’t had one in years. If you are looking for the Dive Bar of Northgate look no further.

It’s your typical college dive. Awesome if your in college or went to college here. Otherwise… Dinghy with good beer on tap.

What they should do is take down the wall that separates the Dixie Chicken and Dudleys. Looks like the exact same bar: Country dingy, taxidermy, cowpeople, and tables that have been obssesively carved into. SERIOUSLY, all the tables at both of these bars have some serious carving action going on. I think Aggies might take out their frustrations on these tables. Might be time to switch over to marble countertops now that they’re going to the SEC. Ohhhh!

I graduated from A&M in the 90’s. My friends and I lived at Duddley’s. Cheap pitchers of Shiner Bock and good affordable sandwiches. The back pool tables were our home away from home since student housing was so depressing. During my four years, Duddley’s stood out for being the place where anyone could hang out. All the freaks, intellectuals, punks, professors, hicks, etc partied together. LGBT friendly. Great diverse music played. An oasis in a small town full of Garth Brooks. It was a dive bar that thrived on all the energy we brought to it.

Duddley’s can offer what I need: cheap pitchers of Shiner, enough seating, and that kind of silly, awesome Texas atmosphere that I crave during the Christmas holidays(living in Minnesota most of the time, I don’t get to experience it much). My favorite place to reunite with high school friends during my yearly trips.

The only reason we ended up in Duddley’s draw was due to the fact that we thought we were entering the Dixie Chicken as they share a common back yard seating area. Too much smoke. There were so many people smoking inside that we got out as fast as we came in. Now one thing interesting is that while we saw no evidence of food or a kitchen(no one was eating, only drinking beer and chain smoking) the College Station Student VIP card(from Sport Clips) has a special for a $ 4 lunch plate with soft drink. We may actually stop in and try that, just hope that there are not some many smokers during lunch time. If anyone knows anything about the food here, please do chime in.

Unilocal must not be popular for the B/CS locals. I also can’t believe not many reviews for Duddley’s. I lived at Duddley’s Draw. Since it was right across campus, it was perfect to avoid that nasty thing known as DUI. Duddley’s was for the crowd that couldn’t stomach the nearby Dixie Chicken and its atmposphere. I met many non-traditional Aggies at Duddley’s and had so many great times here. I was introduced to Shiner Bock here and wonder if they still sell $ 3 pitchers. That is one of my fave memories of Duddley’s. Friends buying pitcher after pitcher and just shooting the sh*t. I lost count how many rings were dunked here. I’m sure it is quite different now. But, I figured to give a glimpse of its past.

I’m the same exact age as this bar and it took me this year to realize it! Like a lot of you reading this review who went to TAMU, you have the place you’d hang out every weekend and for me and my crew it was Duddley’s. Heck seven years later having a cold one on the front porch I ran into an old boyfriend and a few other peeps from back in the day. Today, it seems there are more hip places to hang out, but if you just want a nice cold pitcher of Shiner. Stop(or stumble) by.

I’ve never seen cowboys, bikers, grad students, professors, research scientists, government officials, hippies, geeks, freaks, hicks, pricks, frat daddies, sorority bitches, Joe T. Normal and Jane Q. Doe go to one place and get along so well. You can be anybody you want to be and fit into this bar just fine. Except for Ed Holcomb! If you dress really nice you will stand out… but still fit in. Great food, nothing fried, unique selection. Slot Pool, Video, Darts, Plasma TVs, Cold Beer, bottle, on-tap cheap. Full liquor bar as well. Sit on the Front Porch and watch the world pass you by. Longest continuously open establishment in the Brazos Valley, power outages, bad weather and holidays, this place has opened every day since August 25th, 1977. Gig ‘em Aggies! Whoop!
