I chose Hawthorn after some deliberation, because it had a great location and I was getting a good rate. I did a walk in check in around 2pm and the desk staff was very helpful even though I was early. I got set up with a nice quiet suite and any other info I needed. Nonsmoking room this time, but close to the door so I could go outside. Comfy, clean bed. Bathroom was clean and water pressure was good. All lights and appliances, including the thermostat controlled air conditioner worked very well. The laundry room on premise was a little old looking but cycles were 75¢ so it was definitely worth it. Breakfast was plentiful and diverse, still continental, but free is free. Noon checkout, which is always nice if you want to sleep a little more. This will definitely be my default place to stay in College Station, I was very happy with it.

Visiting Texas A&M and decided to stay here. Rooms were very clean, staff was very nice and beds were super comfortable(I slept like a baby). On Wednesday nights, they have a «social» and they serve enchiladas and salsa. Enchiladas were better than I thought they would be. They offer a complimentary breakfast which is served from 6:30 to 9:30 every day and it was very good. There are eggs, sausage, hash browns, fruit, yogurt, and my favorite a waffle bar! Only complaint about this place is there a workout room was kind of rusty. Machines were rusted. Overall this was a GREAT choice and whenever we come back to College Station we’ll stay here again! GOAGGIES!

Clean enough. Close to campus. Nice space for a single room. Average breakfast. No complaints.

My daughter and I visited College Station for a college visit and I chose to stay at Hawthorn Suites. The room was exceptionally big, very clean and comfortable. Seeing the lobby at 10:00pm full of jr high students staying there for a golf camp(and then seeing students standing in the hall outside of our room), I was concerned about potential noise level through the night, as we had a very early morning. However, we could not hear anything in the halls or other nearbyrooms(seeing these kids in the morning, it seems that they were a well-behaved and respectful group) because we were able to close the door to the suite, adding a sound barrier. The suite as the entry into the room itself is such a nice amenity. The suite has a comfortable sitting area, big flat screen and small half kitchen. Though we didn’t utilize this area, it was certainly nice to have, making our stay feel a bit more luxurious. The breakfast offered was extensive with so much to choose from! The staff was very courteous and overall, I was very pleased with the Hawthorn Suite, especially for the value. I would definitely choose to stay here again!

This was a very nice place to stay. A little ways away from A&M for me, but that’s because I like to be within 5min. This is like 10−15min away =P So, the suites are very nice. They have extended stay suites that include a full kitchen area, as well as temporary/regular stay suites with a half kitchen that includes a kitchen sink, dorm-sized fridge, and coffee maker. Our room was very clean and smelled nice. The beds were PHENOMENAL(to me). My mom and sister(who prefer firmer beds) said the beds were too soft. You can’t please everyone. Breakfast was wonderful as well! I love staying at places with a free hot breakfast =)
