Meet the Business Owner
Amy V.
Business Owner
After 30 years of software development, I decided to do something different and provide healthy, good food to the masses. This decision came when I stopped in the College Station Pita Pit for the fist time and knew that I wanted to run one of these stores. I’m a vegetarian and I loved all the choices! 6 months later, that same store came up for sale and I became the owner in June 2015.
My degrees are from Univ. of Central Florida but I’m an Aggie Mom as my son goes to A&M. My daughter Sam, who attends Univ. of Saint Thomas in Houston, is helping me run the store. We have a geeky, fun family and love to let it show (hence Super Hero Fridays at the store).
I love the outdoors (hiking, camping, mt. biking, geocaching), reading and getting involved in the community. I’m a long time volunteer with Girl Scouts (I teach backpacking), an alum of Pi Beta Phi Sorority, a member of cycling clubs NWCC and GHORBA, and own a Harley. My motto is «Every day is a gift».
