Are there the words enough to describe the un-professionalism and utter lack of respect this company(Remax BCS — Chelsie Breaux) gives to their customers(tenants). There simply is too much to go into everything in detail, hopefully these highlights are enough to warn you properly… From the start there were issues. I looked at what could have been a very nice duplex that had some damage from the prior tenants, and was dirty(understandably — it was still occupied). I was assured that the unit would be made ready, cleaned and all damage would be repaired. I was also assured as there was vast mud holes in the back yard that it would be leveled and filled in and that they would put rock down to keep the tracking in of mud to a minimum. Move in day comes a couple months later, I go to pick up my keys and they say that they are at the unit with the maintenance guy. I get to the unit, and they had just started doing the make ready. The unit was a mess, unclean and to top it off they spray something on the tile that makes it like walking on ice. Try moving furniture with no traction. The maintenance crew leaves, leaving the mess behind, not cleaning up the tile, house unclean, and with me and the movers to try to move stuff in over this mess. Highlight of move-in day… Finding used feminine products with dried human blood on them in the bathroom… I spend the first three days of my residence, moving furniture out of rooms, cleaning them, then putting them back as they were so filthy it was unlivable. When I told the management company about it, they sent a lady to come mop the tiles, who showed up without cleaning supplies and quickly mopped the tile(without moving furniture) to remove what ever chemical there was, using a Swiffer mop I had. Obviously it did nothing and it took me several weeks to get the chemical up. When discussing the cleanliness of the unit, I got only«Well, its old house, there will be stains/damage» and«We sent someone to clean it» There were numerous maintenance issues, which will happen, but the problem was that when messaging via text as was the instruction given, there would sometimes be 2 – 3 and up to a week delay before hearing back. Calling the office, the number, or any other avenue to contact them netted similar results. We spent almost a week(6 days) during summer without a/c while they priced repairs and tried to say where a mower had hit and gashed the outside unit was caused by animals and we were responsible… I have never seen a dog or cat carry a knife, which is what it would of took to replicate the gash in the side of the ac unit… Finally comes time to move out, and even though we have meticulously recorded the units condition upon move-in, they somehow expect us to leave this unit in like-new condition… It took over two weeks of back and forth, showing pictures, showing documentation, and finally just giving in on things I really shouldn’t have to come to what we think is a agreement about our deposit, we are unsure as they have not responded in several days. In the end, I should of taken this to court during the lease, but I really just wanted to survive it and get out. But I can definitely say, if you rent from these guys, you better document EVERYTHING, and watch your back. There are way more professional management companies in town that will treat you with respect as a customer… Don’t get fooled by the initial sweetness, they will turn on you the moment your lease is signed
