Willow Creek Orchards is my go to place for raw milk in a glass bottle, and fruits, veggies, and flowers my daughter and I can pick out ourselves! I also love the fact they offer classes and story time on the weekend. Actually this orchard seems to belong to a co-op of other green farmers and they also sell things like apple cider slushes, pies, meats, etc… Come expecting the upexpected at this place!

Bought some delicious organic strawberries from them at the Phoenixville farmer’s market recently. Said you can pick strawberries from their farm as well, which I hope to have a chance to try.

It’s great to have fresh local fruits and vegetables available so close to home. My favorites are the local strawberries and apples(Winesap anyone?).Try the apple cider slushy too.

Willow Creek has the right idea. They support local farmers and have the freshest produce around. If you shop organic you would love it here. It is expensive, but you are spending the money to take care of yourself.

My first trip to Willow Creek Orchards was over a year ago, and on my second trip I bought into the co-op to get 10% off each visit(good suggestion, Em, I definitely broke even on that and got the added bonus of the warm fuzzy feeling for joining such a great business). This orchard is the real deal when it comes to local, organic, and hard to get menu items across the spectrum. I usually fill up a cart with their locally produced meats, cheeses, milk, eggs, bread, pies, plants — the pick-your-own is a great deal as well, and a cool low cost way to spend a Saturday morning. Their hours do get a little funky in the winter — for the start of o9 they are only open Saturday from January 10th through April 25th as it’s the off season, and veggie/fruit wise you’re looking mostly at lots of root vegetables and tons of apples. Everything else is a bit sparse until growing season kicks back into gear, but then it’s so worth it, I can’t pretend to mind the slow pickings during the winter.

I wasn’t quite sure what I would find here. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised. Fresh local grown produce, baked goods, dairy, coffee, jellys– all kinds of fun and yummy stuff! For $ 50 a year you can buy into this co-op. This gets you 10% off each visit. Or, you don’t have to pay the $ 50 and just pay face value on all of their goods. The prices aren’t cheap, but I wouldn’t expect it to be for all of the high quality items showcased here. Nice vibe too!
