Food was very good, but used a credit card to pay & they charged a higher amount than was on our signed receipt. Was happy to have noticed quickly, but upon calling to get the excess refunded, they were not very remorseful or conciliatory, and most disturbing did not seem surprised about it. Buyer beware! There are way too many other good restaurants out there without one that changes your receipt after you leave, go elsewhere.

Hidden gem in Colleyville. Packed on a TUESDAY! Great service once we were seated, outstanding fare. Limited wine selection, but, wonderful daily specials. Highly recommend the Sole Scampi — OMG! Very reasonable for the quality of fare. Pasta bolgonese — just meh, otherwise, 5 stars.

What a great find! Romantic atmosphere. Awesome service. There were six of us in our party. We started with salads and homemade garlic bread. All 3 salads we tried were very good. The spinach salad dressing was very creamy and tangy. It tasted like all the dressings were homemade. My husband had polo Angelina with chicken and eggplant. It was creamy cheesy goodness cooked to perfection. I had I veal saltimbucca with procuitto. So tasty with a side of veg with pasta. The flavors were a wonderful savory mix. The portions were good for the price and the prices were very reasonable. We had 5 entrees, one appetizer, 3 salads, garlic bread 1 glass of wine and one beer. Our bill with 20% tip was $ 158. We will definitely be back. Great for date night, very romantic.

We first came here in 2010 to celebrate our wedding. The entire experience was wonderful. We continue to eat here, though not as often as I would like. Mainly we just come for our anniversary. So here we were again for our 5th(yay us!). This was the first time coming here after reading reviews, strangely enough. I was most taken by the recent one by someone from Illinois who spoke about their server, Sam. Well, guess who our waiter was? Immediately upon greeting us he started in with the hard sell and how we HAD to have martinis, and then he launched into what the specials were. After learning his name I thought, AHA! I’m onto you, Mr. Sam! Also, we’re not that gullible, so we just ordered what we wanted. A glass of red for me(a nice pinot noir from Monterrey), and a gin and tonic for hubby. Hubby actually had to send the drink back because it was very light on gin. Also, upon not falling for Sam’s exuberance he seemed to immediately mellow out… so mellow that we thought that he had gone home for the night because he disappeared somewhere between the drink order and us starting to die slowly of starvation. A table next to us, who were seated immediately after us had already received their appetizers and our waiter hadn’t even come back to try again with those martinis. We got bread from the lovely man who seemed to be the combo busboy/water glass-filler/should-be-a-server because he was great. Sam finally returned and took our orders. He asked if we would want the soufflé, which is not on the menu. I’m very glad he mentioned it because I did indeed want a soufflé. Side note: That menu hasn’t budged in at least 5 years. The food is good but it would be nice to see a few new and perhaps interesting items. Again, good food, but all the choices are the usual stodgy standards. Anyhoo, back to our meal. We ordered the mussels and the soft shell crab for the apps. Both are very good, though the mussels border on boring. The crab was wonderful — perfectly cooked and very garlicky. Both offered great juices for dipping the bread. For dinner the hubby ordered the sweetbreads. The were good with a very good marsala sauce but they had a very odd side of what looked like canned peaches. I thought they must be something else. But they were actually canned peaches. It made me think we had warp-driven our lives to the senior special at the senior center on Senior Citizens Day. Didn’t stop hubby from eating them though… I ordered the shrimp and scallops primavera. Pretty good, lovely to look at, and pretty much exactly what I wanted that night… however, it would’ve been stellar if the scallops had a sear on them(otherwise they were perfectly cooked) and there was more wine in the sauce. Or any wine. I only tasted a light butter sauce. The Grand Marnier soufflé arrived and it was fabulous. But surprise! Sam also brought us a gratis piece of the chocolate mousse cake with a candle for our anniversary! We had a full sized one for our wedding party and know how good it is. I highly recommend it if you don’t go for the soufflé. But that soufflé took precedence right then and there and we had the mousse cake boxed up. Somehow we rolled ourselves out of there for right under $ 100, before tip but it’s definitely easy to spend a lot, especially if you go for the specials and the up-sells. We do like this place a lot — great food, lovely ambiance, and wonderful service. But I think they could step it up a bit on the menu while still keeping the old standards everyone loves.

Had a child with us and they would not seat us without a reservation. The couple behind us did not have a reservation and they say them. Extremely disappointed in this restaurant.

Three stars is kinda harsh considering the below comments, but it’s merited. The food and the service were just as described by most of the 5-star reviews below. «Sam», our charismatic server, was full of terrific food and wine suggestions, as well as one-liners and entertainment for our kids. When we rolled in with our 4, 7 and 8-year olds, my wife and I were a little distraught, but mostly because of the outburst from the 7 year old insisting we were bad parents for not going for burgers. Sam caught the air of emotion and suggested we put out the flames with martinis, which we politely declined in favor of red wine instead, mostly because I didn’t want to get smashed with my three kids in tow. But, alas, Sam insisted, and arrived with a bare-knuckle Grey Goose up and a pomegranate sugar bomb for my wife, which indeed changed our mood. We immediately pivoted to ordering food for the natives, because when they get restless is a joint as nice as this, you can easily annoy the 4:00 dinner-set that prefers quiet. Three orders of spaghetti and meatballs went into the kitchen and immediately Sam returned with fried cheese for the kids. This was a nice gesture, but we normally don’t serve this kind of fare to our kids. However, it was Friday night family dinner so we relented and they enjoyed it. My wife and I proceeded to order our food. Among the entrees, my wife had a very authentic Cioppino that was light, but overflowing with flavor. I dined on the lightly breaded and sautéed Veal scalopinni with pancetta and lemon butter sauce. It was delicious. Despite our decline, Sam also brought us out some linguine with a butter and garlic sauce that, admittedly, did complement the meal quite well. After the martinis, we decided on a couple glasses of wine to round out the meal, which Sam immediately up-sold us on a bottle since we could«take home whatever you don’t finish» which was likely. He even suggested a less expensive, but flavorful, bottle of wine. Our meals came and went and everything was great. The piano player was terrific as well and my kids started making requests. When it came time to order dessert, we told the kids they could share an item because they behaved well and they deserved it. My wife and I also decided that we might share one item. We don’t normally eat desserts, especially after a big Italian meal full of martinis and pastas that we were not prepared to eat. Again, Sam assured us that trying just two was not enough, and came to the table with four desserts(one of which was not the one my wife and I ordered to share, so he went back in the kitchen and grabbed the fifth and final dessert, tiramisu). All of them were incredible. Here’s where the three stars come into play: the bill. Everything that was brought to the table was on the bill, including everything we didn’t ask for but was forced upon us. I ate it so I guess I’m guilty, but if you’re going to bring stuff out that people don’t order, you can’t charge them. That’s just a shady way to treat a family of 5. The food was delicious, the service was great, and I’m never going back.

Everything about our trip to this restaurant was perfect. The atmosphere is romantic and inviting, the employees are kind, the service amazing, and the food absolutely divine. If you go please try to get the chocolate mousse – it is life changing!

This is a neighborhood gem in fine dinning. They offer seafood that is freshly brought in from all over the world and not on the menu. Ask for John or Julie to be your waiter.

Our anniversary lunch was perfect! Great service and great food with presentation. The food was not overwhelming nor salty. Calamari was our app, I got the linguine clams and my husband got the tilapia special. And ended with expressos ! Wonderful.

All in all, a fabulous experience from the moment we walked in the door. I was greeted at the door by name because of my reservation, promptly seated and spoiled! The service was impeccable! We had the baked oysters, split the spinach salad and for main I had the Cioppino. The seafood was delicious. A soufflé, which is not on the menu topped off the meal! We will be back!

Great for lunch, including take-out! Very reasonably priced lunch menu. Delicious food too! Thanks for customizing for me — I got the pasta primavera but with the bolognese sauce instead of cream sauce — so good! You also get a salad and 2 slices of garlic bread(with take out at least) and it was SOYUMMY! One of my new staples for work!

Very nice lunch experience when I was hankering for lasagna. Live in Keller so surprised this was only 15m in away. Seated right away and really good service. The salad was a little small but they included some awesome garlic break and refreshed my teaglass regularly. Lasagna was very flavorful, lots of meat versus other places and italian sausage was not overwhelming. It felt classy but not snobby inside. Will definately return and maybe try dinner.

Ruggeri’s is among the area’s finest restaurants and is the best, offering Italian food. The location and ambiance are first class, service is superb, and their menu offers a wide selection, elegantly presented and pleasing to the palette. This evening I enjoyed the veal and shrimp Scallopini offered with baby asparagus, my spouse chose the Copper River salmon, broiled with a rich butter sauce. The wine was pleasing and the desserts delicious. This would be a five star choice any evening. However, this evening featured a piano player who was a bit loud for background music and she encouraged sing along participation from dining guests who had enough wine to believe they could sing. They were loud, off key and continued their performance through most of our meal and dessert. This was unfortunate and management needed to tactfully cut it off after one or two numbers. The pianist could have taken a «break» and then the rest of the night off. Were it not for this evening’s slaughtering of tunes from the Sound Of Music which damaged our overall enjoyment, Ruggeri’s Ristorante is a Five Star experience.

FANTASTIC!!! Absolute gem nestled in the Mid-Cities. You’ll be transported to rustic Napoli. The food is exceptional, the service is outstanding and old world in the best way, not a single detail, no matter how small, is overlooked. Champagne sorbet between courses to cleanse the palate, long stemmed red roses for every lady. We’ve been looking for«that place» forever and I’m happy to say we found it tonight, thanks to Unilocal and the reviews of this gem. We had the mussels and crab stuffed shrimp for appetizers, capellini with clam sauce, vitelo and shrimp scampi, a bottle of rose champagne, grand mariner Soufflé and cappuccino. Will update this review as we eat our way through the menu.

After reading such high reviews we decided to go. 3 of the 4 of us got the specials, which were fish. They were all overcooked. slightly bland. My husband had the chicken Parmesan, it did not stand out in taste or presentation. The service was wonderful and everyone is very nice. Our table was rocking from side to side and the owner quickly had some one come to fix it. unfortunately it did not work so i fixed it myself. For dessert we had the crème brûlée and the tiramisu. The crème brûlée did not set properly and was not smooth. The tiramisu was awesome though. If we ever go again perhaps we will try their pastas because fish is not something they excel at.

Some of the best spaghetti & meatballs I’ve had in a while! This place is a little pricey, but worth it. The food is excellent and the wait staff is very professional and nice. Definitely worth the stop if you are in the area!

The atmosphere is romantic and also offers el fresco dining on the patio. Each table has a candle, and a small flower. And is nicely decorated. They don’t have sweet tea, so naturally we started with unsweetened Ice tea and waters. Our server was courteous and helpful and explained the specials thoroughly. There is olive oil with herbs on the table upon your arrival. The bread had a nice crust on it, and the inside was soft and hot(so we had to get a 2nd loaf later in the meal). My wife got Chicken parmigiana and I got the Alfredo w/shrimp(which is extra). You can add chicken as well. We also got the toasted ravioli as an appetizer. During the course of our meal the piano player came to our table and asked us if we wanted to hear anything in particular, and if we had any requests to let our server know. The raviolis(3) came on a bed of red sauce. The veal texture on the side had a nice kick that hit you in the end of your bite, but the texture of the veal itself had a scrapple consistency, which is fine. I wish he had more cheese in there. But regardless it was good. Our server also had an assistant/bus person whom followed him very closely. Who was also very attentive, our glasses were never empty. Our meals arrived in a decent amount of time, my wife’s chicken parm was excellent and was a nice size portion for the price. Her eyes lit up after the first bite. The pasta that came with it was more of a side, and may not have been from scratch, but regardless she enjoyed her meal. My Alfredo came with 4 nice size shrimp. They weren’t overcooked or soggy. Perfect. The Alfredo sauce was thick and the pasta was cooked just right. I made sure to eat it slow. I just wish there was another ½ cup of pasta on the plate. No big deal. In the beginning of the meal our server recommended we order a soufflé’ before hand, and on a whim we obliged. Needless to say… WOW! our server prepared the soufflé on the table by pouring a little of the chocolate sauce on the soufflé and breaking the top of it for us. The edges had a subtle brownie texture and the middle and bottom had a delicious velvety texture and was like a molten cake. It was amazing. Not to over powering. I wish it came with a side of whipped cream and maybe raspberries/strawberries. Regardless, it was amazing! An older gentlemen who I assumed was the owner came around and thanked each table individually when we paid the check. Cant wait to come back!
