I stopped in a couple of weeks ago. I’ve desperately been looking for vintage stores in the area that don’t suck and decided to go check this place out since I think mid-century modern is pretty cool and becoming more and more popular these days. The furniture they have is in great condition and looks high quality. The prices are great for this type of design. If this store were in Dallas the furniture would be completely unaffordable… so this is worth the drive. The staff there was super helpful and friendly. They greeted us when we came in and were very knowledgeable about the pieces they had in the store. I saw a piece I liked and got a great deal on it. I will definitely be back again.

Vintage jewels I stumbled upon Vintage Junky quite by accident. I normally drive by here when going to the Vinyards Mall. Don’t let the outside fool you, I thought it was going to be a five minute look store. It’s much bigger on the inside(cue Dr. Who joke). The entire store is mid century cool. Lamps, sofas, phones, kitchenware, tables, chair and everything in between. I was especially impressed by the danish style arc lamp. There are three, main sections, the front building which has some of the cooler items, the patio, full of patio and other outdoor furniture, and the larger backroom, which has more items but not in as great condition as the front. This is not to say that they were in disrepair. It’s too bad they were the last stop and I had already exhausted my weekly budget. I will be back soon! One person’s junky is another’s treasury.

I stopped in to visit Vintage Junkys last weekend, since I had seen their booth at the recent Dallas Vintage Clothing and Jewelry Show. From the road, the shop looks very small and unassuming. But as soon as you go inside, it’s a «wow» moment. The place is absolutely adorable! All their goodies are merchandised as if they were in a real mid-century home. Couches, glassware, jewelry, clothing, you name it. It’s all there, and all reasonably priced! Venture toward the back, and you will walk into a cute kitchen-type room with lots of kitchenalia and dishware. Then, go through a door in the back, and you will see their variety of patio furniture. Amazingly, that is not even all… there is yet another building in the back with even more clothing and furniture, most of this consigned. It’s a lot of stuff to browse through! I bought a kickass pair of 70’s Jackie O style glasses, and some lovely blue/green clip-on earrings. The owners are a pair of lovely gals, and I had a great time chatting with them. I am so happy I dropped in… totally worth the drive!
