Booya’s Burrito Beach

I really really really like this place. They make huge burritos and I always get the same thing.
My favorite thing to get here is the Buffalo Chicken Burrito with pulled pork roast, mexican rice refried beans, lettuce, queso, fresh jalapenos, cilantro, corn relish, sour cream, pico de gallo, and guacamole.

Great Place for a burrito or burger! Watch your favorite sports team with a nice cold beer! Enjoy!!!

Food is good. My only problem is the older manager cashier kept snatching things out my hand, she snatched my debit card and snatched the receipt I signed. That’s just disrespectful to me every other cashier was great.

Better concept than execution. The staff seems disorganized and in need of some sort of work flow. They were trying, but too chaotic to be friendly. Food was just ok. Burger was average. Fries the same. Nachos were, again, a good idea in that you can build your own. However, queso shouldn’t be the consistency of water and the color of coconut milk.

Worst burger I’ve had in a long time. Overcooked, dry and not fresh tasting at all. I asked for medium but they only do well done and it was. Fries were okay. Place was dirty and floors greasy slippery with food and crumbs. First time and last time.

Pretty good place to eat something healthy that filling and a good price while enjoying a nice beer. This place does hold a slight dullness. No music attributes to that along with the mixed atmosphere of a bar/​kid friendly restaurant/(fast food) joint.
This place has good prices with deals on beer. And can be a good hang out spot if your interested in watching the game.

I cannot say I had a bad experience. I stopped here for lunch with a co-​worker. The atmosphere reminded me of a mix of Chipotle and a sports bar (all in one) where the food is prepared in front of you. The food is Mexican mix of burrito’s, tacos. and American favorites (salads, burgers, sandwiches). If you order something that is not readily prepared, you are given a number and the food is brought to your table.
Drinks are prepaid and self served. My food arrived hot and took 5 – 10 to arrive. Seats were plentiful and you have a choice of seats. I have not tried all the dishes, but my order was nicely prepared and for the money it is a good lunch value.

Dinner and movie? This is a great place. Right by the movie theatre, it’s the nearest bar. We went here for the World Cup match (USA VS GHANA) & they were very good to us. Despite our yelling/​screaming. The burritos are underwhelming. If you want a building-​burrito place, Chipotle or Moes beats this. But their burgers and fries KILL IT. It’s a nice local spot to drink with friends.

Got a chicken sandwich. It nice and tender. Huge piece of chicken! Friendly service, one it handed me my food I said «thanks» he said «yeah dude» haha!

We enjoyed our dinner — Much like Chipotle, and I am not a big fan of «line and order» (when I can sit down and have service for the same price) — But the food was good and better than I have experienced at «the other place». Food seemed fresh and chips ain’t extra!
Several told me to try it, did, and I recommend — It is worth a try.

So sad. My husband and I use to make this our Friday Date Night hangout, as in we were there every Friday night. I would order the food and hubby would go over to the bar and order margaritas. Unfortunately, the frozen margarita machine is now broken, and has been for over two months with no apparent urgency, or intention, to get it fixed — we have asked several times! Lost revenue Booya’s! We are now settled in at Swanky’s Taco, same kind of food concept just a little further drive, but they are serving frozen margaritas :~)

The build your own burrito was delicious, the kids meals were reasonably priced. The chips are nothing special. You felt rushed at the counter. I will definitely be back. I would have given it 3.5 stars but that option is not available. My husband liked the big screen TV.

I was not as impressed with this place based on the food. The service was great but the food was just ok. I will give it another try soon and try something else. I got the blackened chicken sandwich at the recommendation an employee and the chicken was rubbery like it was not cooked all the way, even though it was white all the way through as if it were fully cooked. I just couldn’t get over the texture.

Here’s an example of a place that has good food and came to Collierville at the right time – when we were (and still are, btw) hungering for new venues and culinary experiences. I’m not a big fan of standing in line and ordering my dinner at a counter, HOWEVER, the food is good and fresh and you can build your own taco or burrito or salad. So, there are those advantages. Plus you can see exactly what you are ordering. We always run into local friends and neighbors at Booyas. They have a full service bar and patio seating and although I’ve never been, I hear their Trivia nights are lots of fun. Get the grilled Tilapia Tacos with the recommended toppings. You will not be disappointed! It is our go-​to item on the menu. I also like ordering up my own custom salad. Cutting down on carbs? Get your taco salad in a steel bowl instead of a fried taco bowl. You order, get your number, have a seat and they deliver it to your table (a la Newk’s or Humdingers). This place is owned by a local family – they also own Whaley’s Pub around the corner).
My wish list for this place would be to put a drop ceiling in. I don’t want to see the dust up above on the duct work. In essence: Great casual dining. Good food. Generally very busy.

Always a great place to grab lunch. Service is really quick. Burritos are great. Salsa is really good. There’s a sep salsa bar and they have the best cookies! Sometimes the place is cleaner than other times, but usually the kids do a good job.

Good fish tacos better if you select your own toppings for it. The main draw back is it takes forever to get it ! I always order these and almost always everyone else I am with is halfway done with their meal before mine shows up. I’m downgrading my review because I’ve been here many times and it seems to be getting worse and worse. The last 2 times here it seemed very messy and not clean. The workers taking orders were
not too helpful and actually rolled their eyes at our order — why? Won’t be back anytime too soon.

I haven’t been here in years because I discovered Moes… closer and cheaper, sounds like a win to me! However, when my friends said we were going the other day, I had my doubts, but they were quickly squashed. The food was delicious, about 50x better than the burrito I get at Moes. I also tasted their grilled chicken sandwich. that thing was amazing! My only complaint is the employees… I dealt with three and they were all so rude. I contemplated on whether or not I wanted to include that in my review, what with the food being so good, but I came to the decision that yes, that is something that could effect whether or not I choose a restaurant. Over all, yes I will return, and if the employees are nicer next time, I’ll be sure to update.

If you are going at lunch time go early. This place tends to fill up quickly. The food is really good. They have a nice variety of items. I had the hamburger and it was really good. I would recommend this place.

Booyas is a very popular lunch spot among people who work in collierville, it’s always packed, and it’s my default spot when Im having an I’m so hungry I might chew on my hand kind of day.
Ordering is done at the counter — burritos, tacos, burgers and nachos with a variety of toppings you choose from, I love building my own nachos! The «small» is quite generous and the large could be split. Get the booyas sauce, just trust me here. Drink prices are quite reasonable and if you bring your cup back you get a discount. The salsa bar is also a nice touch.
Although the line gets long it moves quickly. This is a great spot to fill you up fast and let you get on with your day.

This place is just ok. I like their chipotle shrimp tacos. They put a lot of shrimp in. The calimari looks like fishsticks and is pretty yummy as well. I remember liking the Surf and Turf once before as well. The catfish buffalo tacos weren’t my thing. They weren’t bad but I couldn’t unassociate buffalo and chicken so it was very jarring for me.
The tilapia tacos takes the longest to cook.
