Very nice house Merlot. Excellent service, Nice place on the square to meet friends. Great pizzas and the turtle cheesecake was YUMMY! Although it looks a little formal when you walk in, it is not FORMAL. Just a nice quaint good place to in Collierville. Don’t forget it’s here…

I was in town for the weekend visiting family, and I had heard my mom mention this place several times, so I wanted to try it. Plus I love any place located on the adorable town square. My mom and I usually have very different taste than my dad, but this place had something for everyone. He was able to get spaghetti and meatballs while we got salads and sandwiches. I had a vegetable panini with a pasta salad side, and it was excellent! It far exceeded my expectations. The tomatoes on the sandwich were some of the freshest I have had, especially this time of year. Portions were large for the price, and at first, I expected to need a to go box. But it was so delicious and fresh, I ate the whole thing! Café Piazza is a great lunch spot, and I will definitely be going back on my next trip to Collierville!

This was our first visit to Café Piazza after many great reviews from family and friends. We arrived right before the dinner rush and were seated immediately. The hostess was very friendly to us; however, there was a younger gentleman who arrived first in his party and was rudely told that not only would they not seat him until everyone arrived, but that all their larger tables were taken and it would be almost 2 hours before he could be seated. I get it– it’s dinner rush on a Friday night– but there is no need to be rude, especially in front of other customers. Our waitress was friendly, although a little more preoccupied with a table of people she knew. This particular table had a little girl and she kept hugging her and playing with her hair, then would go to the kitchen and bring out food. I feel certain there was not any handwashing going on in between the trips and seeing as how it was my food she was delivering, that would have been appreciated. I had the spaghetti and meatballs and my husband had the crawfish pasta. We also split an order of garlic breadsticks. Seriously– do not miss out on them. They were amazing! My husband really enjoyed the crawfish pasta and said it was very fresh and flavorful. The spaghetti and meatballs were also very good, but my portion was much smaller than my husband’s and there was too much sauce in comparison to the pasta. Good thing the sauce was really good! Our waitress asked about whether we wanted dessert and boxes for our food before we were done eating. When we declined both, she brought the check, leaving us feeling rushed and that it was more important to turn the table over to the next customers. I think we will return because the food was worth it, but the service could use a little finesse.

So Friday lunch-out with my co-workers, and we decided on this place as it’s located close to work. The Café’s location is right across from the train tracks(so there was the occasional noise as a train rumbled on by) and charmingly situated in an older style southern house, so it didn’t feel like we were in a formal sort of a restaurant-place, and I liked that hospitable feeling. Our server showed us to a table situated in the sun-flooded patio and so it just really felt super nice and comfortable. For drinks, I got iced-tea, which was super delicious — perfect amount of the black tea earthiness cut by the sugar. For entrée, I got a really awesome roasted bell pepper and smoked Gouda soup. The soup had these bits of warm tomato floaters, and when those pieces burst unexpectedly in your mouth, it was a lovely tangy combination against the roast pepper and smoked Gouda. I would totally get this again, despite how much cream it also probably had in it! Absolutely 5 stars on the soup. But unfortunately food wise, it was all fairly downhill from that point onwards for me. Another co-worker got an entrée of the BBQ shrimp with crostini. There was a lot of shrimp, so that was unexpectedly nice, and the shrimp was also cooked perfectly, not overdone. But I didn’t like the sauce it was in — the oil tasted off and the accompanying crostini didn’t do any favours for the shrimp dish. I didn’t feel like pizza or pasta, so decided to get the Portobello Panini and pasta salad. Right, so now I am going to go on a mini-rant about that pasta salad which accompanied my Panini and tasted really really horrid, so you have been warned! The pasta was dry, hard and felt stale. The sundried tomatoes tasted like cardboard bricks(alternatively hard and the squishy!) and the olives were flavourless. Frankly, I would have preferred not to have been given this at all, rather than food that was so flovourless. In comparison, the Portobello Panini at least had good flavor, but it was uneven. Some parts of my panini were all bread and the mozzarella was cut up into small bits — I was expecting proper mozzarella balls and because it was cut up — again it was uneven in taste, because some bites I got the mozzarella and some I didn’t. I also wish there had been more of the mushroom filling present in my panini. I only ate half of my panini as I wanted some dessert. I got the cheesecake which tasted like a cookie-cutter version from a food conglomerate(yes, will not get this again) but a co-worker got the most delicious Tiramisu(as good as anything I have tasted in Italy) and so this is something I would totally get. Everything about that Tiramisu tasted fresh and vibrant and my co-worker was happy to share, so the meal ended on a semi-good food note. I do want to come back and try a pizza here(not sure if would get pasta!), and of course that divine Tiramisu, so will update my review then, but until then this visit only rated 3 stars due to the uneven quality. I love the atmosphere at the restaurant, the building is charming and it has a nice view of the Collierville town square. The staffs were really nice and friendly. It’s a fine example of the southern hospitality. We started off with the cheese artichoke dip and it was absolutely wonderful for a cold night. I had their lasagna and it was delicious. I finished every last bite of it. For dessert, we had lemon cream cake. It was so soft and fluffy, I have to say it’s almost heavenly. There was a bit of a wait since they don’t seems to have a lot of tables for large groups. After tasting the food, I would think it’s totally worth it.

Food is always the best and the music in background is pleasant. The staff super professional and very polite. They never rush you while you enjoy your dinning experience.

I’ve never loved a restaurant so much in my life. For a Collierville native, this place is definitely my pride and joy. I refuse to bring out-of-town friends/family anywhere else. The location is perfect, the staff are friendly/sufficient, but the food has never let me down. I will always choose this place for Italian & pizza. It’s costs more, but I guarantee you’ll be happy you came. Also, the owner, Pat, is honestly one of the nicest people you’ll encounter in your life.

Amazing !! Came here with my date and I fell in love with the homemade meatballs and spaghetti. Had meatballs elsewhere but these are something else. And I don’t remember the name of the dessert but it was chocolate and raspberry? Melt in your mouth goodness!

I just don’t get it. The building is charming, and, sadly, that’s really all I didn’t regret about my decision to try this. For the prices, one should expect a much higher quality from the food than I experienced. We started with the bruschetta and the artichoke dip. The bruschetta was made on stale toast rounds… with CANNED tomatoes, rather than fresh!!! It was warm and unpleasant. The artichoke dip was warm and gooey and lacked flavor. For my entrée I chose the blue crab ravioli, which was really disappointing. The crab was sparse. The homemade pasta was cooked slightly shy of al dente, which resulted in a chewy weirdness that I’d prefer to never experience again. And the Alfredo sauce was salty and strange, more like an ultra-creamy béchamel with a hint of Parmesan than a traditional Alfredo sauce. The bottom line: nothing special and the price isn’t right for just«meh.»

We shared a salad and the Smoked Chicken with Ravioli; it was very good. During the meal, we added the Bread Sticks filled with cheese accompanied with sauce. The Bread was good, but actually the bread that came with the meal, seemed to have better flavor. The sauce with the bread was extremely hot, burn the mouth type temperatures, had hoped they would regulate that better. Completed the meal with a Berry Cobbler, it was very good, would do it again. On our next visit, we will probably go down the Pizza route, with the Salad once more.

I’ve now been to this place 3 times for dinner and can honestly say it’s my new favorite Italian restaurant in Memphis metro. The location is cozy and charming, in an old house by the railroad on the Collierville Square. The atmosphere is elegant yet casual. I find the service to be consistently friendly, professional, and very focused. The menu has a variety of Italian options, with my favorite being the pizza. 3 people can split one of the large pizzas. And the salads are big. They can be split too. They have wine but no liquor. Usually I’d deduct a star if I can’t have my martini apertif, but this place is too good.

Delicious artichoke crab meat dip! Enjoyed the albacore salad as well. Nice little spot on the town square. Stop and stroll and then enjoy lunch here.

The restaurant itself is really cute and homey. It’s like your sitting in your own home eating dinner. Service was great and their food was pretty good as well. I really liked their toasted meat ravioli as I have never eaten that before. Overall, great service, nice atmosphere, and good food.

This restaurant is located in a house on thr Collierville square. It is kind of nice inside, but I also felt like the floors were not quite level. The food was Italian based. We had an artichoke dip and anti pastas platter for starters. Bother were excellent. Then we had a pizza(not so good… hard cracker like crust… my son described it as the complete oposite of Chicago style pizza… and not in a good way). Then we had dessert. Terimisu and Millionaire Cake. These were both pretty good too. The service was good. This place was kind of pricey. If I ever come back I will not get the pizza.

Service is excellent, food is k to good. Appetizer I had the Brioche and wow that was delicious! I wish I had ordered more for my dinner instead of the lobster ravioli. Lobster ravioli was extremely fishy tasting and it was like biting into crunchy shells sometimes.

Hubby used to work here so I came to visit him with my sister once. It’s this really cool and adorable little place just off the Historic Collierville Towne Square. We really weren’t impressed. It’s a really cute place and I really wanted to like it, but I just wasn’t impressed with the food and neither was my family. It’s just ok and it’s a bit expensive for the quality. I doubt we will try this place again simply because my entire family had bad experiences at different times and there are just so many other pizza places in the area. It’s a beautiful place and the atmosphere is just gorgeous but it’s a shame the food does not match the quality of the décor.

Tried Café Piazza a second time and honestly it’s such a shame… the service is excellent and the restaurant itself is charming but the food is just ok… the first time my wife and I dinned there my pasta was undercooked. The second visit was just like the first. Had the smoked chicken ravioli and a side of meatballs. The meatballs were very good and the marinara sauce was good but the ravioli was undercooked taking al dente to a new level. The chicken stuffing was very dry. I know they make their own pasta but this was like machine made out of a bag… sorry. My wife had a chicken panini which also was very disappointing. The chicken was very dry and the sandwich was bland. I will say, once again, that the service is outstanding and the atmosphere is very comfortable and romantic… great place for a date or night out with your significant other. The pizza looked good and many of the entrees we watched coming out of the kitchen looked good as well. They’re worth a try.

I just got back from a date night at Café Piazza, and wasn’t disappointed. To start, we had the crab& artichoke dip, which was great. It was creamy, but not obnoxiously cheesy. The bread was also excellent. For the main course, I got the Southwestern pizza, and would recommend it. The pizza itself is very good: think crust and crunches. It’s not greasy at all. The toppings were tasty, as well. My girlfriend had a salad, which was good, but unremarkable. For dessert, we had the banana pudding was cake, which is exactly what it sounds like: cake with banana pudding on top. It was fantastic, very moist with real bananas, not just flavoring. The only downside was a not-so-great table right by the door, which took away from the atmosphere a little. All in all, it’s a great local restaurant serving some great food!

This place is a little jewel right off of the Collierville Town Square. Last saturday my mother and I had lunch here after we had gotten our nails done. I have been here before with my family for dinner so this was not my first time to eat at this quaint place. It was such a treat to eat here with my mother. We both enjoyed a glass of wine while we waited on our meal. We both ordered the roasted red pepper and gouda bisque soup. Let me just tell you… it was to die for! It was the BEST soup I have had in quit sometime. I was sad when it was all gone. When I get sad when my food is gone, I know I love it and want more! So good. We shared the Piazza pizza. We were going to get our own pizza but so glad we shared. One of their pizza’s is enough for two people. We ate it all! It was so delicious. I highly recommend this place and can not wait to go back for more!
