Main Street Collierville is a gem! Such a cute town square and gazebo, and my kids LOVE the train! Weekdays from around 11 am to 1 pm, you can tour the inside of the train and the little log cabin there as well. That’s a treat for the little ones to see the inside of a dining car, sleeping car and the separate caboose on the side near the post office. I love the little boutiques and restaurants are good too. This is a great place to have family photos taken at the log cabin or gazebo. Local photographers flock to the square to take pics. I love the Christmas tree lighting ceremony too. There is a HUGE tree that is totally lit up and the other trees and gazebo sparkle with lights. Santa arrives and they serve hot cocoa to everyone for free, courtesy of the Town of Collierville. This is usually the first Tuesday of each December, but check with the Town of Collierville site. Don’t miss out on the gelato at Square Beans coffee, or cheesecake at City Hall Cheesecake! Silver Caboose is open for lunch and always busy and tasty.

Love the square. You can get on the train cars, do some shopping, find a spot to eat, sit under the gazebo and enjoy spring at its finest. They have done a great job in preserving the history of the square from the store fronts to the wood cabin. Great place to take photos. There are some historic churches that also make a wonderful back drop.

The town square is such a beautiful place especially this time of year. My wife and I only recently started coming here and have quickly become regulars to the area. If you are a tourist, this is a must see. If you are from the area, enjoy the beautiful square to relax. There are plenty of shops to browse in and a lot of places to just sit and people watch. The benches all have plaques of dedication to various people, it’s very nice to see.

I love this place and hubby and I bring people here all the time to take pictures. It’s fun coming here in general as it’s so pretty and then Fair on the Square is held here the first weekend in May every year.

This place is beyond precious — a step back in time, if you will. I have to admit that when I think of Collierville, I think of chain restaurants and typical suburb associations… but this place changed my mind. I forgot that Collierville has been around for awhile.(Sorry, y’all!) The square is lovely and has charming shops to pop into(no chains here!). I love the greenery and gazebo. It is especially gorgeous during Christmas. If you’re in the area, I definitely suggest you check it out!

Growing up in NYC it’s still a novelty to have a town square. I love the little shops and restaurants. My son has a ton of fun running around checking out the trains and the cannon. I love when the blue grass bands come and jam on Friday nights. It’s a fun time to grab some Yolo and listen to music and chat with the locals. There are lots of great events during the year like concerts, Easter egg hunts, Halloween events and more.

Like Misty R. said below, a visit to the Collierville Town Square is like taking a trip back to another time. It does have that Mayberry feel to it. There are some really great shops to browse through, like Hewlett and Dunn(great western shop), Paisley’s, Natural Creations, The Silver Caboose, a yogurt shop, coffee shop and so much more. One of my favorite Italian restaurants in the universe is here as well. Pasta Italia. It’s incredible!!! You can read my review of it here on Unilocal as well. All of the shops surround a pretty little park with a gazebo, where all sorts of events are held throughout the year. In the summer, in June and July, there is a concert series each Thursday evening, and it’s free. But there’s fun stuff in the fall and winter too. The merchants host an open house for the holidays and then in December they show an outdoor movie and everybody comes out all bundled up with blankets and sipping hot chocolate. So if you haven’t been to this historic little town square, go and check it out. It’s a great way to spend a nice afternoon.

I love the main street Collierville area. It’s like something out of a picture book or the Andy Griffith show. It’s truly a small town shopping area and town square. The center of the square is a park like setting with a gazebo and train station. It is surround by various stores and restaurants including McGinnis Hardware, The Village Toymaker, Fabric by the Square, an Antique mall, the Silver Caboose(restaurant) and C. J Lil and Company(flower shop). They have fun seasonal events like Girls Night Out, East Egg Hunts, Scavenger Hunts, Halloween and Christmas events. Why go here vs other area shopping locations? It’s a step back to a quieter, calmer time. It’s in a beautiful setting with unique shops and restaurants. If you need something specific this may not be the best place to go. If you are looking for something different and unique and want to change your pace for awhile, you will love it here.
