Steak Escape

The new owners (husband & wife) are swinging for the fences and have served up home runs during both of my visits. Clean, fresh & friendly. What a turn around these two peeps have accomplished.
Now…if they could just do the same for the store down Winchester.

I love to go the Houston levee location of the steak escape. I love the new sandwiches. now with the new management this is a big improvement. I love their French fries!!!

Awesome again, new owner is great. Food is great. Good place to stop and eat. You need to stop here and eat with new ownership!

I visited steak escape I would say about 7 months ago when I was pregnant with my little girl. I use to always come to this place, but after going to the fountain to put ice and a drink I see maybe 5 flies in my drink, little fly legs and all. So never will I ever go back there. Who knows I heard there is new management so maybe it’s better. But come on there were flies coming out the ice hole. Like seriously? & they didn’t even give me my money back.

I had been here once before, a few months ago and the food/​service was OK, but nothing to write home about. After hearing about the new owners and updates, I decided to give it another try. So glad I did! The food and service is amazing now. The buffalo chicken fries are one of the best things I’ve eaten in a while! I don’t live nearby, but would definitely make the trip just for those fries. The rolls are noticeably fresher, and crispy on the outside so they hold the juicy toppings in really well. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t nearly as messy to eat as I had expected it might be. Try the bourbon bacon steak sandwich, the sauce and meats are a great mix of sweet, smoky, and savory. The only problem was that it’s so good I forgot to get a photo of my food. A+ job by the new owners taking things to another level!

After the first change in management this place went downhill fast. This used to be my favorite place to eat but I stopped going cause it was always so dirty and the quality was horrible.
However, new owners have recently taken over and have restored it to its former glory. The restaurant is clean and the food is just as good as I remember. Unfortunately the previous owner seems to have already run most patrons off. I hope people try it again and realize the change cause I’d hate to see this place go!

Food was very nice as was the staff. The only reason I don’t give five stars was because the restrooms were dirty and the 10 minute wait for the food. They may have been understaffed but were very polite.

It always smells great! all my goodness it makes you want to try every sandwich and eat every single fresh cooked skin potato fry they have my favorite sandwich is the grand it comes with onions lettuce tomato bell peppers mushrooms mayo anything can be taken off if you don’t want it on your sandwich but trust and believe to get this sandwich fully loaded is something so amazing and so tasty the staff there always personable they work really hard as they cook the food on the grill in front of you I think that is pretty awesome

My mom and sister love this place, but I found it to be rather bland. The fries were good but I just wasn’t impressed with the quality.

As typical with Steak Escape, the food is nothing special. It is loaded with sodium. The food is not bad, but it isn’t something worthy of a stellar review. I went here to meet with my captains on my team. I guess it is a decent atmosphere to meet and chat with people, but ultimately this place makes me feel like I am eating in a mall.

This is a very well run Steak Escape. Fast and efficient. Fries are hand cut every day. The Turkey sub is amazingly tasty for a somewhat more healthy option. You can’t go wrong with a triple-​cheese though!
