Lets get some things out of the way: 1. This place doesn’t look like a bakery 2. This place share a building with some unappetizing business 3. This place does not allow you to sit down nor stay awhile 4. This place is good. I was taken aback by first entry. However once I was able to locate the order window the smell finally becomes sweet and you remember why it was you came originally. All the baking is done on site. The cupcakes are available only as long as demand dictates and demand often exceeds supply. The make basic flavors such as vanilla and out of the box booze infused flavors. Everyone in my party agreed; the cupcakes were: moist, sugary, delicious and fresh. If you need your fix or just want to try something new I say visit, but call ahead to see if they have your favorite!

Delicious and friendly!!! I don’t even normally like cupcakes but these are off the hook! Only advice, get there earlier than later, they don’t over produce so you run risk of limited selection towards end of day.

O my! These cupcakes were super moist and their frosting was so fluffy! I dislike biting into frosting thats hard. I bought a dozen and a half for my little housewarming party. The little lady was so nice and sweet. She took each tray down to show us what type of cupcakes they were. We got a variety of different types and when she mentioned adult cupcakes, we chose Tequila and Apple Martini!!! Our guests LOVED them. It wasn’t overly sweet and like i mentioned, it was moist. Perfect. The location is a little — odd. I actually held back a bit because I wasn’t sure if I should go in, is it an office, etc. But once I opened the door, followed the signs pointing to the suite, I forgot all that iffy feeling!!! Decent price for a cupcake, the alcohol filled ones are an extra dollar. But it’s totally worth it.

I really like cupcakes and I really like cupcakes from cupcakology. I’m giving them 4 stars instead of 5, because they’re not the best I’ve ever had, they’re moist and yummy but not extraordinary. I am also a proponent of small business. I would much rather buy a dozen«really good» cupcakes from these hardworking young ladies than buy some mediocre ones from Walmart or a big chain bakery.

The lemon cupcake is moist, lightly citrus-y and tangy, and not overly sweet. I admit to being a little skeptical about this cupcake at first, because I bought it in a gas station along City Line Avenue. However, the display and my hunger won me over. Although the cupcake was hardly diet food, I liked that it appeared fresh and handmade, and I could pronounce all of the ingredients. The cupcake was beautifully decorated with pale yellow frosting and a little jelly fruit slice on top. When I bit in, I was delighted to find lemon curd inside. At roughly $ 2/piece for a reasonably-sized cupcake, this is a great option for the occasional sweet indulgence.

Once upon a time, Collingdale had a bakery called Orlando’s. This bakery had the most wonderful cupcakes you could imagine. They were best because of their simplicity. They were straight yellow cake with sugary icing. When I was a kid, they were a treat when my mom took me there. Why do I bring this up? Well, mostly to point out that Collingdale once had a history of some pretty darn good baked goods. Will Cupcakeology resurrect that tradition? Boy, I really hope they stick around long enough to do that. The Churro cupcake I tried today was cinnamon goodness in every way. I could get addicted fast. I can’t give them 5 stars until they get a better location. Because when it comes down to it, you can’t beat walking into a bakery and seeing the goods under the glass, just like it used to be at places like Orlando’s. It’s too important to the experience. Let’s hope that they grow enough to do that someday.

So, this place is amazing. Like, really really great cupcakes. I tried multiple flavors, and each one was exceedingly delicious and on point. They were moist, flavorful, and, in my opinion„ just the right amount of sweet. A friend of mine is getting married soon, and I’m planning to pick some of these up for her bachelorette party. Now, that being said, the location is super weird. It’s inside a building that seems to have offices, among other things, and it’s essentially just a dutch door in the wall. There is no bakery case(there is a baker’s rack where you can see all of the goodies) and they take payment on an iPad. It’s not a dealbreaker for me, but I do think it’s a shame because I’d imagine some people are turned off. The girls who run this place are SO nice and it seems like they’re trying to get their business up and running. I intend to support them fully. Go Cupcakeology!

I’ve sampled several cupcakes from Cupcakeology and I’m impressed by the consistently moist, flavorful cake. The icing is SUPER sweet, and while I have a major sweet tooth I could never eat more than one of these cupcakes at a time. I recently had a Peach Ciroc cucpake — outstanding peach buttercream with a fresh peach and Ciroc compote in the center… plus the icing was adorned with edible glitter. Who knew a cupcake could make me feel so fancy? I also highly recommend the Blueberry Velvet and Lemon Curd cupcakes. The price is right at $ 2.50 each(and I believe a dollar extra for the liquor cupcakes). Don’t let the strange location deter you… Cupcakeology is absolutely worth a trip when in need of a sugar fix!
