Tasty Sidekick

I was just at a Christmas party catered by Tasty Sidekick, and everything was delicious! The turkey lasagna was my favorite. If you’re in south jersey and you’re looking for somebody to cook tasty, healthy meals for you, give this one a try.

A few days ago I tried out the service because it seemed like an interesting idea, and I’m glad I did. The food was excellent. I did the weekly meal, so I could share the food with my family. Everyone enjoyed it. Even my picky 4 year old.
It was hard to choose since the menu has so many items that look delicious. To start with I tried the Bacon Cheeseburger Meatloaf. I’m always a little wary about ordering meatloaf, as it can be dry. But, the word ‘Bacon’ piqued my interest… and it was a great pick. Very juicy and delicious, lots of flavor. The next entrée was the ravioli with balsamic butter sauce. It sounded great to me, but I wasn’t sure if the kids would like it. Then, when I turned around, I saw both of them with their mouths stuffed with ravioli, so, success! The last entrée I tried was the Chicken and Black Bean Taco Bake. Threw a little sour cream on top, and it was gone fast, everyone loved it.
The sides were also amazing, especially the garlic knots. The garlic mashed potatoes… just give me a spoon and a large bowl and I could eat the whole thing! The Spanish Rice and Black Beans I ate with the taco bake, kind of mixed it all together which was a perfect combination.
It wasn’t just the food, though, it was also the service. She offered advice for how to serve the dishes, and helped me pick the entrée + side combinations. Reheating instructions were also provided. Great communication. The whole experience was great. Will definitely have to try again, as some of those other entrees sound delicious, too! Recommended for sure!

Ordered from the Tasty Sidekick about a month ago when I was planning a date night with the girlfriend. I had heard about them from a friend and decided to give it a try. After talking to the friendly cook or business owner on the phone, I decided to place an order for the conveniently named «Date Night» menu.
From the Date Night /​Deluxe menu, I did like Ron Swanson and ordered the Bacon-​Wrapped Filet. Now that’s a Filet Mignon steak wrapped in bacon and topped with both premium goat cheese and balsamic vinegar; it was just as amazing as it sounds, it was juicy, crunchy, and left me feeling like I now know exactly what I’d order if I had a last meal in prison.
My girlfriend got the crab cakes from the same menu. Now we’ve been on a summer crab cake eating binge from Mike’s Seafood in Ocean City, to Empire Burger in Atlantic City, to Chickie’s and Pete’s in Atlantic City and this crab cake was the real deal. The crab cakes were hand-​made (with Tasty Sidekick, the meals are prepared in your own kitchen) and unlike most places, they were –much– more crab than filler! My girlfriend was very happy, but I was happier because she was full half way through the meal and I got to finish it!
We also split the Avocado Macaroni and Cheese as our side and we were scraping the bottom of the bowl with our forks after we had ate all the macaroni.
In the end, our order from Tasty Sidekick left me looking like a smooth operator with my girlfriend. Tasty Sidekick is especially good for people on diets because you see everything cooked in front of you and know exactly what’s going into your stomach. It’s like ordering delivery except what you get is an authentic and creative meal specifically crafted to your culinary desires. They’re also good for people on the seefood diet because once you see this food, you’ll can’t help but eat it!
