This place is horrible, at first they make everything good. When it came to my wedding event. The cake was falling apart. Everything was separate, I paid $ 350 for everything and they didn’t meet my expectation in the beginning. If I only knew this was going to happen. I would’ve never trusted them handling my wedding cake. This place sux ! They were setting up while my visitors were there. Just horrible! It was the biggest disappointment out of all my vendors! I want my money back! Over price!!! Please go somewhere else! they need better customer service and better products! Liars! Please go somewhere else!

All I can say is wow! They did a great job on my husband’s graduation cake, of which I of course sourced ideas from Pintrest. They did exactly what I wanted and in only five days too!(Perhaps because I begged and looked a little pathetic and they felt bad for me) I’ll be using them again for my daughters upcoming first birthday cake. Thank you guys!

I loved this Bakery! I ordered online which actually isn’t that hard. It was super easy and convenient for people who don’t feel like going out. I ordered a red velvet cupcake, a choco velvet, a lemon drop, and an Oreo cupcake. The red velvet cupcake was my favorite. The icing is not overwhelmingly sweet and the bread was soft, moist and flavorful. The choco velvet was nice and the lemon drop was great as well, however, the most flavorful out of the bunch was the Oreo cupcake. It had bits of Oreos in it and the frosting was rolled in bits of Oreo as well. It tasted so good! I also ordered a red velvet cake pop which of course was great and one cookies and cream cookie to try and I really regret only ordering one! Their cookies are fantastic! Super soft, chewy and delicious! The last thing I ordered was a red velvet cake(We love red velvet, can you tell yet?). The cake was great. The bread was super moist, packed with flavor and the icing on the cake really just topped it off. Like the cupcake, the icing is «just sweet enough». Not at all to the point where it’s overwhelming. The icing paired with the bread makes for an amazing cake! To top this all off, the staff are super nice over there. They made for a great service experience and I will definitely be ordering from this bakery again. As a side note. I don’t review places much. I only put a review out if the food and service was either super bad or super good to the point where I feel others should know about it. In this case it was super good and I highly recommend this bakery to others.

Ordered from here for my daughter’s HS graduation party. All the different flavors we got were a hit. I appreciate the way they followed up on the order and my special request. Order was ready and boxed up, waiting for me when I arrived at the prearranged time. Loved being able to place the order online when it was convenient for me. I would definitely order from here again.

Cupcakes are delicious! Tasteful & very moist. It’s a true Daly City/Colma gem. Plenty of parking and pricing is reasonable. The only downside is that Google maps doesn’t really recognize the address. It was not the easiest to get to the store. Enjoy and englighten your taste buds!

sweet dreams are made of this. (to Unilocal staff who removed this review last time: this review is based on first hand experience with the cupcakes.)

Love this cupcake place! My sister in law bought us 2 dozens of cookies n cream before and it was DELICIOUS!!! I couldn’t stop eating them. I also just ordered a last minute same day cupcake order for a gender reveal and luckily they were able to accommodate it. They used the red velvet flavor since it was the only one that hasn’t been frosted yet, and I’m glad they used that flavor bcos it’s really good! I brought it to work and everyone loved it. Only sad part is it wasn’t enough :(I only bought a dozen and everyone kept asking for more. Anyway, I have nothing bad to say. Their staff was nice and helpful! And I honestly would choose this place over Kara’s cupcake.

#54 I’ve been to Sweet Dreams twice — when I had a Groupon a few years back and just recently to pick up cupcakes for my cousin’s bday. Each time I ordered cupcakes through their ordering system online, it was unnecessarily difficult. I was trying to order a dozen assorted cupcakes, but it only gave me the option to add a dozen of one flavor only. I was also trying to order some of their seasonal flavors but it wasn’t available online. However, there is an option to buy a can of Coke or to include utensils… Some tips I’ve learned: — Don’t walk in or get cupcakes the same day. Most likely they won’t have everything you want. — They usually run out of a lot of flavors around 1PM — ORDERINADVANCE — Call beforehand to make sure they have the flavors that you want. — If their phone goes straight to the fax, you’re screwed. I waited 4 hrs for them to plug the cord out of the fax machine and into the phone. — Price per cupcake is discounted when you buy a dozen. — To order online, choose a dozen of one flavor and in the«Special Instructions,» specify what flavors you want. Its a shame that I only live 2 mins away from Sweet Dreams, yet I still have to drive out of Daly City to get good cupcakes. I only came here because I had to get cupcakes last minute and I didn’t feel like driving to the city. Next time I’m in that situation, I know now that the drive will be better than coming here. 2 stars because the owner is nice and their banana split cupcakes are good. The rest of their cupcakes are just OK. I’ve only ever bought their cupcakes using a Groupon or a coupon through Eat24 because i don’t feel like their cupcakes are worth their price. *** UPDATE *** I placed the order«2 minutes ago» because from 12 — 4pm, I was constantly calling and it was going straight to the fax machine. I wasnt calling the fax number because eventually someone answered the phone. By the time someone answered it, I was already in a rush to get home with the cupcakes. I was calling the bakery because I didn’t know how to order different flavors online since it only let’s you get a dozen of ONE flavor. You did not have all the flavors I wanted. You didn’t have Cookies ‘N Cream or enough of the flavors I wanted, which is why I had to change what I ordered. I had to settle for the mini size because you didn’t have enough regular sized cupcakes. Of course Eat24 gave me the difference back. Why would I pay for regular when I got mini cupcakes? It’s not like they gave me credit to compensate for me being upset. I am aware that you can place orders online in advance. However, my frustration is with the difficultly of purchasing cupcakes the same day. It seems like this bakery focuses more on online orders than walk in customers. Most of the reviews are outdated Groupon reviews or for specialty cakes/cupcakes. If that’s the case, there’s really no need for a store front.

Three words«Red Velvet Cake». I’ve had plenty of Red Velvet Cakes and I like how they make theirs. Soft, moist and not too sweet. They also have other selections and not afraid to be more creative when it comes to combining flavors.

I was going to a baby sprinkle in South San Francisco at a spa, so wanted to go to a bakery on the way coming from SF. Found Sweet Dreams on Unilocal and saw the variety of their cupcake flavors and I was sold. You can pre-order your cupcakes online, they use Eat24. I ordered the cupcakes 5 days before I needed them. So I ordered an assortment of mini cupcakes — Almond Joy, Lemon Drop, Cinnamon Carrot, Cookies and Cream, Banana Split and Ube. I also put in each comment box for each flavor asking if they could do blue frosting or blue sprinkles since the mommy to be was expecting a boy. The next day I received a voicemail from Sweet Dreams that they could do the frosting and they look forward to seeing me come in. So picked up the cupcakes and they looked so amazing! Was really glad to see the blue frosting and sprinkles on them. And as for the flavors– YUM! Everyone that tried them agreed that they were a perfect moistness and each flavor was delish. I would definitely come back again to order more cupcakes for a party… or to just have on a regular day.

Sweet dreams accepted a last minute order for my daughter’s birthday cake. The ordering process was flawless. I sent in some sample designs via email and then picked up a beautifully made cake on the day of the party. It was a delicious good old-fashioned chocolate cake and not sugary sweet for the kids.

While searching for coffee, Sweet Dreams popped up. Cupcakes? Why not. Their cupcakes sell for $ 3, and they have mini sizes for $ 1.75. A bit pricey for a few small bites, but they were certainly delicious. Each bite was soft, moist, and not overly sweet. Every flavor was delicious. I also liked that they have special flavors like Ube and Hazelnut Chocolate. I wouldn’t recommend refrigerating them for a day. The edges were a bit hard, but still edible.

I’ve had a lot really great cupcakes in my life. I love them! I’m not an expert, but I am a good source. I wanted to buy a good friend a yummy cupcake for her birthday and I looked to see what my fellow Unilocalers recommend, This was the closest to me and the reviews seemed good. I walked in and noticed that this place is not the cleanest, nor very cute at all and very tiny. We chose a small lemon and a small almond and I chose red velvet for my friend. Paid and left. My son and I split the two small ones in the car. The almond joy was flavorless and absolutely nothing special. It actually tasted like Betty Crocker out of a box, not an original recipe at all. The lemon was tart, but better than the almond joy, though the frosting tasted like what you buy out of the package; not originally created. You could taste all the processing in it. Sadly, the red velvet tasted processed too. My friend ended up throwing it away. I didn’t know enough about red 40 which is the dye they use in their cupcakes. Look it up, it triggers migraines, lower IQs in children and hyperactivity in children also. I understand they need to use dyes, but there are great alternatives than this artifice dye. Especially if they’re charging you $ 3 and $ 1.75 for their cupcakes. This dye is BANNED in Denmark, Sweden, Belgium, France and Switzerland and even in Hummingbird food bc it causes cancer growths on their beaks. Seriously. Ugh, sooooo disappointed in this place. Completely unoriginal recipes, processed and very bad ingredients. Nothing about stopping here made me smile. Nothing. Kara’s cupcakes knows how to make GREAT cupcakes with ALL local, organic and natural ingredients. Go there, NOTHERE. BTW, the cupcakes are worth $ 2 at best for their large and $ 1 at best for their small ones. And that’s being nice. Get original! Use much better ingredients and original recipes then I might change my mind! Something positive, the staff was nice.

Our wedding guests couldnt get their hands off the mini cupcakes and mini tarts we served on our special day. I loved the assortment of colors that were on display. Our wedding cake was also super cute. I especially loved the sweet customer service. Lastly, super affordable in comparison to other bakeries around!

Sweet Dreams did the cupcakes for my wedding and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We did tastings to get the best fit for us then we came up with a design to work with our budget. We emailed designs and they executed everything we wanted. They were also very organized and early for set up, which worked out great! We worked primarily with Marisol and she was very friendly and responsive. Everyone loved the cupcakes!!! Thank you Sweet Dreams for the beautiful & yummy cupcakes!

Got a few of their mini cupcakes: apple cinnamon, ube, carrot cake, and a chocolate one(i forgot the name!). The apple cinnamon was amazing… very moist, sweet, full of cinnamon, and small chunks of apple… Delicious! The other cupcakes I was rather disappointed. I don’t like having raisins in my carrot cake, so I wasn’t a fan of that, though cute icing decoration. The ube cupcake was good, but not great. The chocolate flavored cupcake was not really memorable, so that’s a flop. The presentation of the cupcakes were so-so; looked more like«homemade» versus«bakery perfection». Overall, this bake shop is good and may have other flavors that could be truly amazing. The apple cinnamon is definitely one that I would go back to get! I also noticed they make customs cakes too, and I saw in the back that they made a Baymax(from Big Hero 6) that awfully looked amazing!!! On a good note, they seem to have great skill in the cake-sculpture bizz. Anyway, cool cupcake shop.

Used a Groupon. Forgot to preorder but still had great selection of full sized cupcakes. They had limited mini cupcakes left by the afternoon. Sales people very polite. Would come again. Cupcakes are delicious and moist. We had refrigerated them for a few hours. Let them sit at room temp for a bit before consuming.

I felt deceived paying full price for a damage cake. I called to order a birthday cake at this bakery for the first time and relying on the owner reputation. I came today to pick up the cake and I saw a minor damage in front of cake. I pointed to her and she blamed the box may have caused it but I didn’t see any cream stain on the box. I brought it home and looked at the whole cake again then I saw more damage on the other sides. There are two punch holes and more damage of missing cream. The box was fine from driving home, no cream stains. I would not recommend this place.

Product: cupcakes — if you’re looking for the best water flavored cupcakes then you hit the spot! Only reason why I’m giving this place a 3 star is because the cupcakes are edible and 2 stars for the staff that was very highly accommodating and sweet to me and my best friend. The cupcakes were tasteless and the frosting tasted like cupcakes from Lucky(without an ‘s, if you live in Daly City you’ll get that joke lol) or the frosting from a Pillsbury Doughboy ready to spread packet. Tried this place out when it first opened with the same feel and taste as now. The pastry chef should definitely taste their competition out there and revamp this bakery’s flavors Service Rating: I love our attendant! I believe her name is Mirasol or Mirasel, she was Mira-fantastic. So sweet, so accommodating, it’s like I walked and started talking to a family member. She was more than happy to help us out and gave us every way to contact her for any more inquiries… Customer service definitely rox my sox here! Ambiance: For a place that specializes in cupcakes it doesn’t really have that«we sell cupcakes» kinda feel. It’s quite dark, and the cupcakes just don’t look happy. The way they’re decorated is at most passing, I firmly believe that it is due to the lighting of the facility. It was as dim as the Daly City fog, I guess quite befitting since your business resides next to a bunch of cemeteries or tombstone makers. Who knows, maybe the theme of their cupcakes are always Halloween and in that case– kudos in achieving the theme! Recommendation: Market shopping, better lighting to accentuate not only joy but also the highlights of the design of your cupcakes. I didn’t even know this store even sold French macarons coz they were stuffed somewhere not in eye catching distance! Definitely have Mirasol or Mirasel be a trainee instead of the girl behind the counter, she has excellent customer service! I guess you can tell by the end of this posting that we won’t needing this facility’s services will not be needed today from me. Ambiance Recommendation

I’ve always seen this bakeshop but never got the chance to visit. Thanks to Groupon, I was able to try their cupcakes. So glad I did. They have a variety of cupcakes to choose from. From chocolate hazelnut to banana split. I got the 2 dozen for $ 20 on Groupon. What a steal! And I must say that the employees were very nice to me. Very accomodating. My coworkers enjoyed every morsel. I tried the Chocolate Hazelnut and it tasted like those Ferrero Rocher chocolates I grew up eating. So delicious! I most definitely will come back. Looks like a great place for future party needs. The mini cupcakes are the perfect size… good enough for an adult and children.
